i’m a plasterer. i seen the blokes spraying the cement outside the window on a job site and asked another bloke what it was, he said sugar water. i’d be damned. never heard of this, always thought you threw those pebbles on cement hahaha. unreal. thanks for the post - i’m sure i could have asked the blokes outside to explain a bit but when your pouring and smoothing concrete in the sun, you don’t want to be speaking about it at the same time. looked awesome, well don’t

I like the exposed aggregate look. I've wondered about power trowels, do they use them just for big slabs or do they also toughen the surface more then hand finish as well?

Hey guys, love the videos, really helped out, iv done a few plain concrete paths and attempting my own exposed on Monday, and I’m keen to use the sugar as you do, is there any tips for weather differences in Victoria , it will be about 19degrees, I’ll mix 1kg sugar to 10litrss of water, wait for fingers just push in Crete and the sss, wait around 1hr half or so, then hose, how’s that gel with you blokes
This looks amazing. I wish we had concrete with smaller stone it like this in the US. Could you resurface broom finish concrete like this ? If so, how deep would coverage need to be?

Why do you folks pour that narrow band around the perimeter of a house?? Are you using any type of air entrainment, retarders or accelerators in your concrete mix design?? How is your doggie??
cant answer everything else. (and im not a concreter) but im assuming its a footpath and also so you dont have lawn up against the house getting the foundation wet?
