That was fascinating. It's odd how a place in which so many people suffered and perished, can seem so bucolic today. Thank you.

Back in 2005 I was part of a group that visited Peenemunde…always a space nut, i was stunned at the absolute similarities between Cape Canaveral and Peenemunde. Von Braun absolutely transplanted one to the other, from the vehicle assembly building to the crawler. I wonder…how much the general public were told about his history…given what he did at Mittlebau. It shows how much the Government shapes narratives to suit their needs.

Von Braun was a war criminal of the worst kind and the US government ignored it for rocketry knowledge.😮😮

Hey if you look at the Western Military since WWII. There pretty much isn't one thing the Na3is had that isn't in use now. 5.56 x 45 nato, emulating the Sturmgewehr. Look at gulf war era helmet, almost WW2 German shape. Full length boots, jacket/ combat Smock shape. V1 V2, the German smaller battle field rockets. Drone tank Ukraine just " invented". 7.62 gpmg. M60 or the German version. Stealth bomber, Horton Bros. Jet fighters.Tanks look at a US UK one, look at a German one you can see the lines that influenced newer tanks. Interestingly England at end of WW1 was at the lead of tank technol9gy. By start of WW2 the Germans were at the lead and stayed there. Plastics, synthetic fuel synthetic oil. About the only thing the Germans didn't invent is Ikea😂😂. But just an Pennemunda is similar to Cape Canaveral. So to is basically the NATO lineup, especially the cut of US 1960s uniforms, a duplication of WW2 German kit

@@Mark-td5ux I’ve known quite a few people that worked at NASA over the years. They either don’t care or won’t engage the subject. In the bigger picture, history has been made and the US got what it needed in the moon missions.

It's somewhat mind blowing that these camps, as late as 1944, were still being "improved" for the sake of efficiency in camp operations. Building this bridge knowing the war had turned against the Nazis. It's difficult to understand the thought process used to do this type of thing knowing their "cause" is lost.

Because Hitler thought the wunderwaffe would turn the tide and win the war for him

When looking at the fuzzy black and white images taken back in the war one tries to imagine what it was like at these locations. Seeing it like this just shows how wrong my imagination was, not at all like I had imagined. I am too old to visit these places of evil now so thank you for your showing them.

Speer was interrogated extensively by American Intelligence after the War... Promises made?
He certainly drew an enormous sigh of relief at sentencing at Nuremberg.
    Speer was a clever man.
    Others not so clever.
Von Braun completely rehabilitated his image in the US.
Amazing when the medieval black uniforms came off!
    Thanks Alan. 🙏🇦🇺

Alan: I sort of do videos like yours for my Facebook friends. I just realized I can do one for you that might fit your channel. Werner Von Braun was located in the area where I currently reside. His grave is not too far from me. Perhaps I should do a video from the cemetery? I know he had an office nearby; I can see if I can locate it.

Based on that photograph on the entry sign, that cobblestone road sure looks like it was made by the concentration camp inmates when the camp was being built.
