Never taken IElTS, but seems like paper based test is easier than computer based especially on speaking part. I always sucks on talking to a machine😩 rather talking to a real person is more comfortable and confident
Thanks for the informative video, Jana! Personally I prefer the Toefl test since IELTS has some weird, irreverent scoring rules that frankly causes the learner to get distracted by those rules instead of actually going for practicality of English in an academic environment. For example, a few years back I scored 7 in the writing section of a mock IELTS test. The authorized institution that ran the test simply said I should use more "ifs" and "howevers" If I wanted to ace the writing section which was quite insane in my opinion since I structured the answer to be perfectly coherent and relevant to the question.
All aspects are very nicely explained in detail with clear pronounciation. Moreover, the speed and tone of speech is very comprehensive... Great work...
same here. I also hate multiple choice questions . Moreover I will definitely go for the IELTS ! Thank you for the information from bottom of my heart...
I have never taken the IELTS, but I want to take the paper based option because all the benefit that you tell throughout the video, I really appreciate for your tips.
Multiple questions in Toefl can be tricky and it containes traps, in order to succeed in that, one should have a good english level and have spent a good amount of time (more than a month)studying it's structure and strategies.
Sincerelly, I really thank your video and your recomendations which have helped me a little bit more to decide what exam I should take. I'll definitely choose IELTS exam due to caractheristics you mentioned. Hopefully, I'll get 6.5 on IELTS at minimum.
omg, thank you a lot to this making video. I’m from Kazakhstan and I’m 15 yo. but now I wanna start to preparing for exams cause I’m gonna in study in USA. but I think Ielts is cheaper and easier than Toefl, I hope that universities in USA will be take
Thank you so much for this video I got the information I wanted to get And I hope in near future to get IELTS exam I hope good luck for me and for everybody 👏🏻
Before watching this video, I was confused about which exam I should take. But now I have decided which test to take. Your presentation and explanation is really amazing and clearly helpful for me. Thank you so much for helping me to make a final decision.

Isn't it easier to write 500 words in 50 minutes on a computer than writing 400 in 60 minutes by hand? I'd prefer IELTS but that I'll have to write by hand makes me sick...
I disagree. I think the TOEFL (which I've taken) is a very smartly made exam and the conversations and test items are very realistic, at least on a proper conversation perspective, something that is not like mostly slang and just shallow talking or topics.

I'm good with multiple choices and speaking to computer rather than person but I'm not good at writing and toefl is little bit expensive to me so now I can't decide 😥
Thank your for your information ! Actually in my country both of them are computer based. IELTS in a center and IBT you know can be at home ... now if both are by computer . I don’t know yet how can I feel doing the test by computer and with mask .
I see that the listening section is very difficult in the TOEFL because you listen to two lectures and one conversation in succession and then answer the questions. This will make you forget most of the information
well, I came too late. I also want to take the IELTS exam , but I have not a lot of experience of this exam. could you help me to improve my language skill?
Hi many thanks for your video. Personally, I would like to ask you for a recomendation. I attended TOELF IBT in december, 2020 and I scored 65/120 (R 19 L 11 S 16 W 19). For a posgraduate what I want to study, it asks either minimum score of TOELF IBT 80 or IELTS 6.5. Taking into account my english skills to can get the minimum scores, would I have more advantage to present TOELF again or I could try of IELTS? Many thanks for your help and I would appreciate your comments.
I would rather concentrate on TOEFL and try to prepare better to it as you already know the format of the exam and you won't need to waste your time on learning the structure of a new one.

I love your explanation
this is really a helping video and I recommend to watch. Please let me know that how to make good strategies as it seems memory test rather language.
What I find difficult for both is how inaccurate the exam compares to something in reality
I disagree. I think the TOEFL (which I've taken) is a very smartly made exam and the conversations and test items are very realistic, at least on a proper conversation perspective, something that is not like mostly slang and just shallow talking or topics.

True, but you may make the notes while listening and then use them while answering the questions.
