- To be completely honest, I don't feel anything. Just a sense of apathy. That's how little I cared about this Super Bowl. Even then, it feels like nothing went right. The game was a defensive borefest that was like watching the neutral-zone trap in hockey: Unexciting and empty. Belichick put on a coaching clinic... and that's why it didn't even feel competitive.
And that's not getting into the commercials that tried way too hard to stand out or the halftime show that was way too safe and cockteased everyone with Sweet Victory.
Just a bad night for The Shield all around. It's honestly deserved.

This is not what I expected. The montage actually played like a tribute to the recent greatness of the Patriots in spite of the cynicism you have become known for. There weren't real Rams lowlights here, just the Pats getting it done time and time again, against many different opponents. We may hate them, but they are still the best.

As a pats fan I dont know whether to feel offended or in awe of this video, it definitely made me smile seeing the highlights of all their wins and we've really become perfectly comfortable being the evil empire of the NFL; watching Bill execute order 66 gave me chills.

Brady and Belichick both deserve loads of credit. Brady just won his 6th Superbowl at 41 years old. He's been consistently playing well, and yes his team has absolutely backed him up over the years, but he's stayed strong and still doesn't look like he's had enough. And even though LII was a loss, look at his numbers in that game. Doesn't matter that this year he wasn't making the ultimate plays, he fought a much more difficult defense. He got very lucky that the Rams offense never showed up (and/or that his team's defense did). I'd call him worthy of being GOAT. Belichick took a losing Pats team and turned them into the greatest offensive team the NFL has seen. And not only that, he's been consistent in keeping his team great for 18 years. 6-3 in championships? Good enough to go there 9 times? GOAT.
Threw the superbowl away... please. 33 points isn't throwing the game away, it's getting outplayed. Both defenses showed up once all game, and if Graham doesn't make that sack, you know the Pats are going downfield and making it a 41-38 game (or 39-38 if they miss a 2-pt conversion), making the Eagles panic on the last drive. The game ended in one fatal mistake, how is that throwing the Superbowl away? Belichick didn't win with the Browns (shocker...) and lost his first year on the Pats. Well, if that's where his career ended, then no contest, Belichick is not the GOAT. But in reality 19 years have passed and in terms of the Pats he's 9-10 for going to the superbowl, 16-3 for having his team 1st place in the division, and currently the 3rd most career wins of any NFL head coach?
To me it's objectively clear. Both GOAT. And dammit, I'm an Eagles fan and hate both these guys on the field, but I can sure respect what they've accomplished.

The super bowl itself wasn't boring. Great defenses showed up and competed to suppress the other offense. Both defenses were good but the pats just had the better one. The game doesn't need to have high flying offense to be interesting. Brady showed up right when he needed to, proving why he is the best, even if he doesn't play perfectly.
The pats winning yet another should be a wakeup call to the league. You wanna beat the pats? Get a better team with better attitudes, and you'd probably rip the league up. Take a page out of the patriots playbook. Or you can do what the steelers do, dick around and win fuck all.

@Orssidia Browns had the most amount of close games out of any team this year from what I remember. I think something like 7/14 were within 3 points or less, and 3 of those games were against PIT NO and BAL (this was when they weren't even using Baker until BAL... and they still had Hue)
I'm no Browns fan, but you have to at least be able to realize that if they had gotten rid of Hue before the season started, and actually went with Baker, they would have EASILY made playoffs. That's not even up for debate lol...

Nonetheless they were still beaten soundly by the Steelers the second time, the Chiefs, Chargers, and Texans. Would they have made the playoffs if they started with Mayfield? Probably. Their wideout core needs an overhaul with some new faces, and while Hogan had some clutch catches over the last few years, defences don't see him as a consistent threat. At least Phillip Dorsett has some speed, while Hogan needs good playcalling from Mcdaniels to get open
