I still can’t describe this album in words…it evokes more of my feelings than my thoughts. I hope to experience them irl at some point. Thanks for reaching out! This was my favorite video from last year and it brings me just as much joy seeing you stop by! 🫶
I'm so glad you liked the album; COIN really deserves it. Keep em coming. Another album that I think you might enjoy that's HELLA underrated is softCORE by Foushee.
Finally someone reacts to COIN, I love this reaction, I haven't fully listened to this album in a while and this brought back memories for me. Definitely gives their Rainbow Mixtapes and Uncanny Valley a listen, they are the only band I've ever gone to see live, very funnily enough it was September of '19, just before the pandemic
also if you really liked the experimental parts of Dreamland, you could react to their album Rainbow Mixtape which came out only a year after Dreamland. them boys really put out two banger albums during the demic
dude i’m so glad you enjoyed it as much as i did on first listen. and like you said, it only marinates and gets better with each listen. it’s top 5 for me too. to answer the questions about crackle and static, it is indeed all intentional. when we asked them at a show they said most of it is put in intentionally, but the static and breaks at the end of Let It All Out was something that happened organically that they just decided to leave in.
When I first listened to Dreamland it all felt super familiar and I was CONVINCED they were from a different album of theirs, so I asked my friend (who’s also a fan of COIN) if she thought the songs were on a different project as well, but she noted that the singles released from Dreamland were released in like 2018-2019, which is an arguably long time between singles and the album drop 😭 I felt so silly lol. Great album though
This brings me so much joy man. To see someone just rediscovering the best band on the planet and enjoy it so much is so cool. Keep it up man!
