I am 63, been a professional Trombonist for over 45 years at a very high level. Been very privileged to have played with some true superstars touring for many different artists and spending a huge amount of time in the studio as a resident studio artist! I'm saying this only to prove a point which is in my 45 years of being in the music industry experienced in pretty much every genre of music, I have never come across an artist like Ren! In my opinion he is a genius generational talent that can change people's lives with his lyrics, music, videos, and just about anything else he touches... His illness battle is insane, yet he continues to put out true art on so many levels. He has changed my life and my daughter's as well. My 23yo Daughter is in Grad school studying for her master's in psychology. She has watched Rens videos and reactions to those vids with other Therapists and it has helped her tremendously. She loves Ren and is a Renegade as I am. Just throw a dart at his catalog cause whatever song it lands on you will be blown away!
Sounds like you've been there and I have to agree with you. I'm a male 75 years of age, was a drummer in rock bands, then went to key board performing and singing now have been into vocals for over 36 years and sing at a classical level as well as rock. And yes, I've watched Hi-Ren reactions over 300 times because of how it connects me to what other's are feeling as they watch. He is as you just that. A generational talent and gift to the world. I also love his Money Game 3, and Violets tale. But yeah, you can't miss. Nice Tribute...thanks for posting. 😜😜😎😎❤❤
I'm not sure who you are, but I swear this is at least the 6th time I've seen you leave a similar comment on "Hi Ren" reactions. I just think it's really sweet and makes me smile every time I see it :) hope you have happy holidays
@@ni777ful Basement room in their apartment building... they didn't rent the room... they skipped even asking permission to use it. So the video cost under $1000 to make and we got the end result as they got kicked out at that point. Excellent reaction video to one of the best music videos in decades.
@@scottmcelhiney323 I don't know what your source is, but in his interview with The Charismatic Voice he said they rented the space, the landlord said they were being too loud and tried to kick them out, but he managed to convince them to just give him an hour because it was right when covid was hitting and he knew it was their only chance to make this video
I am absolutely blown away by the support on my first reaction video! Ren is an incredible artist, and it’s clear he has some of the most amazing fans out there. I’m excited to keep exploring reactions to all kinds of artists and genres, but before that, I want to dive deeper into Ren’s work. I’ll be keeping a close eye on the comments, so let me know which Ren video you’d like me to react to next, and the one with the most requests will be my next stop! Thank you all so much, I feel like this is just the beginning of a very special journey, and I hope you’ll join me for what’s to come. ✌️❤️
Excellent synopsis of the song 😁 nice to hear someone talk about the guitar and the fact he's rapping/using spoken word. He does it live in a video over seen and it blows my mind as a guitarist he can pull it off. There's just so much to remember and I'm sure you'll love going through his catalogue of songs. Keep up the good work 👏
#RENegades Assemble! That was probably one of the very best breakdowns of HI REN i have ever watched and i have seen over 2000 Reactions to HI REN it is my absolute favorite song and i want everyone to see it because it helps people. Enjoy the love from the Renegades my friend we will support you❤❤❤❤❤
Oh boy. Now you've done it. There's no going back once you've discovered Ren. He knows the "rules" of music well enough to know when to dispense with them. No two songs are alike, and no genre is overlooked. A few suggestions: For "Bardcore," try The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full length, 13 minute compilation of three linked songs). For singing, Chalk Outlines (live version, with Chinchilla), or his Fred Again mashup. For rap, Troubles, Slaughterhouse, or Seven Sins. For just good fun, some of his busking videos, either solo or with Sam Tompkins, or the band The Big Push (their video of I Shot The Sheriff/Road To Zion/Hip-hop is a great starting place). Subscribing to follow you on this adventure. ❤️
Similar age here and I feel the same way. I have watched this video on a loop since I ran into it on my feed a couple of weeks ago. I have never had a piece of art or music affect me so profoundly. ❤
Ren to me, is a book with a blank cover. Open the book and the pages transport you to a time, place and emotion of Rens choosing. I'm just an old fart, but Ren has touched and helped me these last couple years. God bless and keep Ren among us, we need him
@@PeaceBeatswithDanBlackwell it's one of my faves as well. i've definitely heard jeff's influence on ren in other performances, here + there it shines. 🤍
Just before I saw this reaction, I thought about how I could push my wish for Ren to play Forget Her. I can hear him performe it in my head. The pain in his voice, the hunger, the desperate longing ❤ That said, I enjoy your reaction, and I'm here, because this video was recommended by someone at Patreon, and I can see why ❤ I'm here for more Ren reactions/analysis 🎉😊
You're going to have a blast analyzing Ren's music. Standard song structure and Ren are not bosom chums. For unusual and interesting structure I'd try Ren's most recently released song, SLAUGHTERHOUSE. (A reactor with ADHD recently said Ren's music was ADHD-proof because you never know where his songs are going. That seems exactly right to me.) Really enjoyed the reaction!!
Great reaction - thank you! I almost feel jealous that you have got an exciting 12 months in front of you. As a 73 year old musician/producer I can honestly say that Ren is unique among all the hero’s I have “known” and loved over the last 63 years. Let the journey unfold. Oh yes - be sure to do your homework before listening to Kujo beatdown - perhaps leave it for 3 months or so. Also, listen to the Jenny and Screech trilogy in one go. Oh yeh, don’t listen to any reactor versions till you know the songs 🤗🎶⛄️
@@JohnSparksScotland That's good advice. I started to watch a reaction the other day and after they paused (looking genuinely confused) to ask themselves "..So who's Kujo?" I stopped watching. I know it's not their fault they don't know the back story. And I realize reaction videos are often done without prior context or knowledge of subject matter. But I think for that song in particular, if you don't already know what's happened before this moment, you aren't going to be able to relate and actually react where it matters. That's why people like watching reactions - bc they want to see how someone else has related to the same info. But if you aren't in the know, you aren't going to react. And that can just be frustrating for the person watching 😄
Loved your analysis and reaction, having seen the video so many times before. REN is a genius. If you watch the trilogy, be sure to watch Jenny, then Screech, then Violet. Lives of his busking are amazing too.
Someone recently said that Ren makes music without rules and it's so true. What you said about not knowing what he was going to do next is quite typical of his work. Great reaction! I'm looking forward to more. My suggestion for your next song would be The Tales of Jenny and Screech which is in fact a trilogy with Violet's Tale at the end. A heads up though...this trilogy must be done in order and not researched in advance because it will ruin the ending for you, and the reaction. Also, they should be done in one sitting as they flow well after eachother and the ending will make more sense with the other two fresh in your mind. Ren has put the trilogy in one video lasting around 13 mins. But don't worry abouth the length of your video, we dint mind. 😊 Finally, I just wanted to add that Ren loves reactors and allows them to monetise when they tract tp his music. So if you ever get a copyright claim, just contest it and it should get cleared. Therefore, you only have to stop whenever you want to and not feel that you havr to stop to avoid copyright. Subbed for more ❤
You did it! You found "Hi Ren!" Which means you found Ren! and the RENegades! Welcome welcome welcome, life gets better now! Other Ren songs to react to, in the order I would like: Murderer (music video and live version, preferably in one reaction video) Precious (The Big Push.) Illest of Our Time How To Be Me (live, with Chinchilla)..................................... subbed for MORE REN!
Ren singlehandedly changed my entire perspective on this life, he gave me back the ability to simply try, then he gave me the ability to fight for myself. His artistry is so much more than simply music, , it is raw, it is a companion, it is perspective, it is hope. New sub, I may have come here because of Ren, but stayed because of you. Peace friend.
Husband saw this first January 2023 and immediately showed it to me. When he finished we sat there in stunned silence. Have had loads to say to each other about it since then. We are both part of one of his fan groups which is a first for us. The musical journey with Ren and his many amazing collorators has been awesome. My husband was in a group in his youth lead singer and keyboard player really into music and I can say we both resonate with the many and varied styles of music he has hope you do too Recommend Murderer acoustic and official track Fred Again retake for guitar and singing Mackay an instrumental memorial to a friend Also to get to know Ren more a short Million subscribers thank you speech video
Wow what an amazing reaction. I have lost count how many reactions to this performance I have watched. But I think you have encapsulated and explained the intent of this song to demonstrate both the good and evil sides of human nature and how they exist in all of us and that being human is to experience them both and hopefully find a balance.
So many things to find in this magnificent piece of art. The tritones creating tension and directly harkening to the 'devils' influence, his agressive angry tone when being 'dark', softer in 'light' ren, ending on a chord that doesn't resolve, etc. Its saturated with emotions and interesting musical choices. Add a pinch of genius, a dose of heart, a story worth telling, and prodigious natural talent and there's an aspect of Ren, who may be one of the most interesting and impactful artists of a generation or beyond. Enjoy the trip as you go down the Ren rabbit hole! Great reaction, appreciated your perceptive and thoughtful takes. Tale of Jenny and Screech (with violets tale) - shakesperean bard Ren Seven Sins - Rap ren Mackay - Piano Ren Fire - RHCP Ren Big Push - sheriff / zion / hip hop medley (red suspenders) - Ren Marley Back on 74 - steal yo girl Ren Theres a few. Well said! It really is a masterful blend of tension, storytelling, and raw talent. I’m excited to explore more of his work and dive deeper into the Ren rabbit hole! ❤️
This was filmed in about half an hour - they managed to get 4 takes before they were kicked out by the landlord. The audio is a one take but many of his videos (which he directs or co-directs) are also one takes - so impressive. Ren is independent so is rarely played on the radio. Also, he cannot tour so thank you for your appreciative reaction, helping to spread the word. Subbed in the hope you react to more. X
@@PeaceBeatswithDanBlackwellgood to hear you are reaching to Ren further. Could you please advise if you are first viewing or reflecting on a previous watch. Enjoy your discovering. 😊
Amazing reaction! I've watched dozens of reactions and it's the first time I heard someone get so clearly what this song is about, while also making unique references (like the ones on Eminem and Plan B songs), and also connecting to the song emotionally, which I think is what we all Ren lovers actually love the most, as we have all had our own mental health struggles. Thanks for reacting and hope you enjoy your Ren journey!
So so many lack creative talent . So so many lack musical talent .So so many lack artistic talent . So so many can NOT even sing . Then there is REN -In over 70 years never seen better
@@martinm1231 No, Ren is an inspiration to all creative people. Many turn to music because of Ren. At 70 years old I am seriously thinking of learning to play guitar. Never too late.
This song saved my life. I was ready to check out. Now I look at my mental illness completely differently. I am positive that great guitar players have to have great guitar face. This is a one-shot live performance. They used 4 cameras and only had time for 4 takes because they got thrown out by the landlord. This is part of Ren's story. He was misdiagnosed for many years and the side effects threw him into psychosis. He finally got the correct diagnosis of Lyme disease which is easily treatable if you catch it early but by the time Ren got the dx, the damage to his body and mind have already been done. He's currently receiving treatment since his symptoms have re-appeared. For more of his story: Sick Boi and Troubles. Hard Bardcore; Tales of Jenny & Screech (13-min version) and Money Game Part 3. Rap: The Hunger, Losing it (fun), and Illest of Our Time. The Ren rabbit hole is deep. Enjoy.
Is Hi Ren saying God exists, Corgi? I don’t see how there is any other interpretation. “Made by His hand”, “part of His plan”. I don’t think we can even say it only about a supreme-being, because Reb is pretty specific in his use of Biblical themes and Christian ideology.
Love your very thoughtful reaction and welcome to Ren 💚 He has so many styles of music and they are all very Ren (which will make sense as you watch more ) The Big Push, a band he was in before he had to leave get treatment for Lymes, has fantastic musical arrangements , his hip hop is wonderful and rap is fantastically done . Welcome to the Ren 🐇 hole . Hope to see more reactions
Great reaction, subbed for more Ren! As a composer, I guess the natural next step would be the Tale of Jenny & Screech (and Violet), where he showcases his storytelling in a way like no other. Be sure to watch them all together, though ❤
Hi, I'm a Renegade.... This was the first song I saw and I did not resonate with the song but adored it for the piece of art it is. It does resonate with loads of people though. Other things resonate with me he does, he has the ability to take you to his space, his voice, his musical ability, his freedom of being an independant.... but that empathic side is just strong. I lost one of my children earlier this year and when I want to cry, his song Freckled Angels brings it out, but thats personal. I would suggest you watch more, it does not matter what. Warning though, the renegades will be coming to give you love. I suggest Sick Boi because Ren music has lore and this is a pivotal piece that is quite personal to him and a beat maker got it taken down at one stage, trying t be greedy. He does all genres in one style or another so please do not think he is a pure rapper, just he likes to rap and is damn good at it.
Wow, thank you for your comment. I'm so sorry for your loss. Music is so powerful isn't it? I hope my reaction did justice to his talent. I will definitely check out all his music. Do you think Sick Boi would be the best one to do a reaction to next? ❤️ Dan
@@PeaceBeatswithDanBlackwellYou'll want to do it soon. As has kind of been stated, there was a contract dispute with the producer and to stop that in its tracks, Ren pulled the audio from all streaming platforms. Currently, only the video is available legally... and that won't always be the case. Ren's making a remix with his own beat and will replace the audio in the video when it's ready. It was supposed to be done in October, but Ren's health relapsed and put him behind schedule. So, yeah, if you want to hear the original form the sooner the better.
Never clicked a sub-button faster! Great reaction. I mean, seriously great stuff! Can't wait for more Ren content, you are going to have an absolute field day!
Amazing reaction! So often you brought up things that were soon referenced in the song. Ren is a special artist and a special person. I'm so glad you found him. His struggles are ongoing, and he has ups and downs and often setbacks, but he has a seemingly indomitable spirit that many of us find inspiring -- even life-changing. To see where he is now -- a financially successful independent artist who is lifting himself and his team/friends both financially and artistically -- and then remembering how truly debilitated he was not too long ago is extraordinary! Thanks for a fantastic action, and I've subscribed.
I absolutely loved this. Ren, has a very unique way of making uncomfortable subjects approachable. Creating opportunities for conversation. I subbed, of course. I can't wait to watch YOUR Ren journey. You have one AMAZING day.
In the 2+years that I've been listening to Ren and the many different reaction channels cover him, yours is one of my favorites! I can't wait for you to reaction to more of his music
🫶🏻 love your insights on composition and song structure! Brings a new depth of understanding to REN’s work. Yours was one of the most visceral reactions to this piece I’ve seen. ❤️
Some of the most beautiful people I’ve ever known have BPD. Their ability to experience the full palette of emotions with such intensity makes them profoundly empathetic, wise, and uniquely special. I only wish the world were more sensitive to their suffering and more compassionate toward those who feel everything so deeply. In their emotional depth, they uncover and share some of the most precious gifts with the rest of us.
Great analysis. Ren's music can keep you unsure of where he is talking you right up to the very last bar, maybe even beyond. And the result can be shocking. Genius. Be aware that some of his music (and spoken word) can get even darker, some can be uplifting and some can be pure fun, but you can't always tell which from the title.
Wow, great reaction, lots of new insights and could tell it hit close to home. Welcome to the rabbit hole, strap yourself in brother, you're in for a hell of a ride, subbed to follow your journey 👍 😉👍
Oh yes! Thank you for pointing out that the ego is essential to all of us, especially creative people. I have heard so many reactors get this completely wrong. I normally say nothing because I don't want to fight but they are so badly mistaken. My own path has shown me how essential the ego is. It' the window that lets in the light of the soul but the ego is only a window and not the light and definitely not the soul. The purpose of a window is so that we can see the light and the light can illuminate us through the window. Too many people think that the positive side of Ren is the soul and the negative side is the ego. The solution is simple The ego needs to step aside sometimes to let the light illuminate our lives. And there is no artist during my 70 years who shines the light better than Ren. Okay, I had better post this comment before it gets any longer.
Ren is a mixed mental media marvel. What a gift to music lovers. Listening to his "I shot the sheriff" Live showcases his stunning versatile skill. And beautiful singing voice.. His original works are all stunning he is a master at storytelling. Can't wait to join your journey, because Ren is for sharing. I JUST SUBSCRIBED. ❤
I have watched many, many Hi Ren reactions and yours was excellent. It seems you connected immediately with the messages in the song but equally important you were very articulate in your explanations. You kept me engaged watching you react to one of the most talented artists of our time. Ren will never fail to amaze, and you will be happy to hear he has a catalog of over 50 amazing songs and performances to experience. A trip down this genre bending artist’s rabbit hole will leave you pleasantly exhausted. Enjoy!
Thanks for your thoughtful reaction. His catalog is very diverse. For rap, I like Losing it. His duets with Chinchilla are fabulous! With the Big Push band i like Bongo Bong and Englishman in New York. Looking forward to more Ren reactions.
Oh wow this has to be one of the best reactions to Hi Ren that I've watched! I'm a 58yr old woman who has been following Ren since lockdown, when he was doing live streams with The Big Push (check out I Shot the Sheriff 😉). Living in my home city too, we're kinda proud of him being here! There's something about this young man that I just cannot explain, he's more than a genius & I can't get enough of his music. The rabbit hole goes pretty deep but it's 💯 worth going in with great rewards the further you go 😉
This song kind of reminds me of an old Star Trek TV episode when Kirk was split into two people, one 'evil', one 'good'. And, the fact that he needed both to be 'him'.
Welcome to the wonderful world of ren, where you can always expect the unexpected 😊 I have a feeling you're gonna love rens music, subbed in hopes of more ren! 😁🥹💜
Thank you for your reaction. I think your insights were spot on. Hi Ren is so raw, emotional and real. You know Ren has gone through great struggles with his mental and physical health. Many have related to the "imposter syndrome" that many artists experience. I really look forward to your reaction the Ren's The Tale of Jenny and Screech, 13 minute version. It is a tragic tale of two youths living on the streets....
Thank you for your support. His lyrics possess a profound depth that can only come from someone who has endured immense struggles. I am 100% doing that one next, I've had a lot of requests for it so I'm going to put a lot of time into it and do my absolute best ❤
Great reaction man 👍 really precise and smart, very professional, loved it 😍 I'm a 48 woman from France and I played and listened to a lot lot of music my entire life but yeah ... this is true, there's a life before and a life after you've discovered Ren ... Incredible and unique artist, he sings, raps, he's a song writer, poet, beatboxer, amazing musician, he plays guitar, bass, piano and drums, he makes his own beats, produces his music and he's the most phenomenal storyteller nowadays. I subbed to see you dig Ren's rabbit hole, it's gonna be fantastic, fasten your seat belt, this is a tremendous roller coaster you'll experience 😂 Can't wait to see you react to some more Ren 😉 Thanks 😘
New sub for the REN ride…it is a magical mystery musical adventure…he is one of a kind. If you want to know more about his back story, he has another TH-cam channel called chapters and there are several very good inter views…one with Justin Hawkins and one with Zach Sang. Welcome to the world of REN✌🏽
You mentioning we should comment on what other music to react to regardless of the genre.. Would absolutely love to see your reaction to Fred Again.. most if it his 'actual life' albums. There's such beauty and depth in his songs which not many people seem to notice. You strike me as someone who would, so I would be very grateful!
Welcome to the Reniverse. Totally enjoyed your perspective. And you are right: Ren connects to people in unique ways. I can't wait to hear you react to his genre-bending catalog.
Thank you for being so candid with your mental health resonating with this song. His journey touches us all differently. As someone with DID, this is the best way to express what always in my head. Thank you.
The most immediately insightful reaction yet, and I have watched MANY!!!! Just as I have watched many of Ren's amazing works of art. Truly enjoyed hearing your thoughts and I concur! I am 60 years old. In all my years no one has ever summed up the human condition so well and all in ONE song, ONE brilliant 9 minute, 20 second video!!! Ren is a RARE gem!!!
Your smile says it all. It’s so interesting to watch serious musicians or composers😊start out so professional analytically and turn to mush in 9 minutes. Great reaction, thank you!
Welcome to the rabbit hole. Buckle up! You are in for a ride. Be prepared to say in every song I wasn't expecting that. Ren does about every genre, sometimes in the same song. It struck me listening to you that Chalk Outlines would be a good song for you to react to. Not that there are any bad ones. For a more upbeat song I love Power. Brace yourself! Renegades LOVE watching reactions to experience the songs for the first time all over again.❤
"I wasn't expecting that" is one of the most common phrases I've heard watching reactions to "Hi Ren", and pretty much always at EXACTLY the point you said it.
Dan, I want to say thank you for highlighting mental illness and the importance of reaching out. I have spent years battling bipolar, depression and anxiety and after trying to silence the cr@p in my head, unsuccessfully, I now know I am now alone and just want others to know the same. I have taken to writing poetry as my therapy and have just been published and, yes it a cliche, but genuinely want one person to read and say ‘he gets me, I’m not alone’ and I’ll be happy. Keep doing what you do, thank you.
I enjoyed your reaction and the comments you made- both about Ren’s brilliant song and mental health. I too relate. I think many of us do and why it’s so important to discuss (or sing 🙂) openly, and without judgement.
Thank you for the reaction, more Ren please. He is truly versatile and such a great storyteller. Please do "Mackay" and "How to be me". Or anything by Ren really, it's a lot. 👏☯️❤️
Like others have said, I have seen too many to count other reactions to this song. Yours is one of the best. Ren is authentic to his core and that is why I am also a Renegade! I truly believe he is a once in a generation talent. I really hope the world gets on board and recognizes his beautiful art. I hope you enjoy the rabbit hole! Liked and subbed.
Great reflective reaction 👍 The Plan B song Ren refers to is 'sick 2 def' (something to react to also) Eminem has many songs picking up the subconscious theme but 'my darling' is probably the one standing out. Greets from Germany
Danke! You're right of course it is! I got Plan B's first album when I was 17 and I listened to it a lot but that was a long time ago and I couldn't quite get there in my mind in the reaction haha
Hi Ren is more than a song or a performance, it is a message to all human beings who are ready to hear it. Welcome to the Reniverse! New sub for your journey.
Renegade incoming, I have subbed for more Ren. Thank you for this beautiful reaction ❤️ I think Sick Boi is next. It was released right after Hi Ren and covers his experiences with being gaslit by the nedical system which also resonates with so many fans with chronic illnesses. Ren really has promised as a young man to be the voice for the voiceless lost in the isolation of illnesses. He spent 19 to 26 mostly bedridden before he got the correct diagnosis of Lyme disease and autoimmunity. Because it was not treated for so long, his brain and body has been significantly damaged. A stem cell transplant brought him back to functioning, but he still has Lyme, coinfections, autoimmunity, brain damage and MCAS ,which severely limits his diet. Sick Boi is the title track of his #1 album of hip hop songs released Oct 2023. He just returned home to Brighton in July to perform in his first-ever headline festival show in 5 years because of his health. But the stress and overwork put him into a scary 2 month relapse that he is still climbing out of. He will not be able to tour and will be seeking new treatment soon. He has started to release his 3rd album, Slaughterhouse, which is mostly innovative song according to him. ❤🎉
Thank you so much for sharing all this info, I had no idea how much Ren has been through. It sounds like an incredibly tough journey, and it makes his work all the more powerful and inspiring. I’ll definitely be diving into more of his music and doing more reactions to highlight his story. Appreciate your support! ❤️

Oh boy. Now you've done it. There's no going back once you've discovered Ren. He knows the "rules" of music well enough to know when to dispense with them. No two songs are alike, and no genre is overlooked.
A few suggestions:
For "Bardcore," try The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full length, 13 minute compilation of three linked songs).
There is life before hi ren and life afterwards , im 63 and this young man has quickly become the most important artist of my lifetime , new sub
65 years old and I too think Ren is a once in a lifetime artist. Am glad I lived to see this marvellous talent.😅
61 and the level he is at is Freddie Mercury-level brilliance. Where has this man been all our lives? Never seen so much talent in 1 individual.
Similar age here and I feel the same way. I have watched this video on a loop since I ran into it on my feed a couple of weeks ago. I have never had a piece of art or music affect me so profoundly. ❤
@@TerriKash-NEOme too but it's been 2 years probably over 1000 Hi Ren reactions, keep em coming! 😅
Oooowww here we go , we've got another one hooked.
Are you ready, hold on tight for one hell of a ride !!
Jenny and screech is a MUST do next!! ❤
Ren to me, is a book with a blank cover. Open the book and the pages transport you to a time, place and emotion of Rens choosing. I'm just an old fart, but Ren has touched and helped me these last couple years. God bless and keep Ren among us, we need him
Hey Old Fart 😄 We are right here with you. Life is just writing the next chapter, So turn that page and write the next chapter. 😎
this is the first jeff buckley reference i've heard on this - ren's a big fan! good catch.
Thank you 😊 Is he? Grace is one of my favourite albums ❤️
The pain in his voice, the hunger, the desperate longing ❤
That said, I enjoy your reaction, and I'm here, because this video was recommended by someone at Patreon, and I can see why ❤ I'm here for more Ren reactions/analysis 🎉😊
@LouisefromDenmark A beautiful song, I think Ren would do a great job covering it! I'm so glad you enjoyed my reaction, more to come 😊❤️
I've heard two other references to JB, one was Chris Liepe, can't remember the other right now.
I love how you analyze. PLEASE continue down the REN rabbit hole. ❤
I 100% will, thank you ❤
You're going to have a blast analyzing Ren's music.
ADHD proof, I love that! 😆 Thank you, I am definitely going to listen to more. Ren is clearly a very special artist!
Not forgetting he can perform the same song in several different genres and you can't be sure which you like best. Case in point ... Genesis
Finally, I just wanted to add that Ren loves reactors and allows them to monetise when they tract tp his music.
Other Ren songs to react to, in the order I would like:
Murderer (music video and live version, preferably in one reaction video)
Precious (The Big Push.)
Illest of Our Time
How To Be Me (live, with Chinchilla)..................................... subbed for MORE REN!
My husband was in a group in his youth lead singer and keyboard player really into music and I can say we both resonate with the many and varied styles of music he has hope you do too
Recommend Murderer acoustic and official track
Fred Again retake for guitar and singing
Mackay an instrumental memorial to a friend
Also to get to know Ren more a short Million subscribers thank you speech video
Tale of Jenny and Screech (with violets tale) - shakesperean bard Ren
Seven Sins - Rap ren
Mackay - Piano Ren
Fire - RHCP Ren
Big Push - sheriff / zion / hip hop medley (red suspenders) - Ren Marley
Back on 74 - steal yo girl Ren
Theres a few. Rabbit hole is deep!
Well said! It really is a masterful blend of tension, storytelling, and raw talent. I’m excited to explore more of his work and dive deeper into the Ren rabbit hole! ❤️
@PeaceBeatswithDanBlackwell are you talking about Ren or mr Brians comment 🤣🫡COMMENT 🫡🤯💙🙏💙 ...
That's incredible! Thank you for the sub, I am definitely going to react to more! ❤️
@@PeaceBeatswithDanBlackwellgood to hear you are reaching to Ren further. Could you please advise if you are first viewing or reflecting on a previous watch. Enjoy your discovering. 😊
@@Lemonbees I've seen little bits and pieces before but this is my first time sitting down and listening to him properly.
@@PeaceBeatswithDanBlackwellI subbed too 😉
Amazing reaction!
Ren is utterly amazing. The artist of my life. No one like him.
Others should just GIVE UP
So so many lack creative talent . So so many lack musical talent .So so many lack artistic talent .
So so many can NOT even sing .
Then there is REN -In over 70 years never seen better
I'm very excited to listen to more!
Enjoy.
I, for one, am so happy you've decided to remain here with us. The world is better with you in it, friend!
Is Hi Ren saying God exists, Corgi?
I don’t see how there is any other interpretation. “Made by His hand”, “part of His plan”. I don’t think we can even say it only about a supreme-being, because Reb is pretty specific in his use of Biblical themes and Christian ideology.
Ren not only resurrected my love of music but he's given me and countless others a voice. A once in a generation artist! ❣️🦇❣️🦇❣️🦇❣️🦇❣️
Your comment about in the middle of the reaction when you said „There is no winner“, knowing the song, gave me chills.
Here for your Ren journey. You have a unique perspective.
Fellow Renegades are going to love this breakdown. Nice reaction. Enjoy the Renolution 😊

Great reaction, subbed for more Ren! As a composer, I guess the natural next step would be the Tale of Jenny & Screech (and Violet), where he showcases his storytelling in a way like no other. Be sure to watch them all together, though ❤
Ah yes! The Unholy Trinity. Dan will love it.
“So, straight off the bat, he’s gone full Gollum.” 😂❤
😂
Excellent breakdown, truly. Ren is an absolute incredible artist, there is no box. Welcome to the rabbit hole.
Dan

🫶🏻 love your insights on composition and song structure! Brings a new depth of understanding to REN’s work. Yours was one of the most visceral reactions to this piece I’ve seen. ❤️
Thank you so much, yeah I felt some strong emotions doing this ❤
Welcome to the world of Ren. A journey of discovery filled with emotions where music proves to be a wonderful force.
Every video/song from Ren is an exploration into beauty and genius.
That is such a kind and wonderful thing to say. From the bottom of my heart, thank you ❤
Great analysis. Ren's music can keep you unsure of where he is talking you right up to the very last bar, maybe even beyond. And the result can be shocking. Genius. Be aware that some of his music (and spoken word) can get even darker, some can be uplifting and some can be pure fun, but you can't always tell which from the title.
Renegade showing up ❤ Liked and Subscribed for more Ren 🐇🕳️❤️
Thank you for your thoughtful reaction. Welcome to the rabbit hole, come on down there's a lot to hear!!

I have watched many, many Hi Ren reactions and yours was excellent. It seems you connected immediately with the messages in the song but equally important you were very articulate in your explanations. You kept me engaged watching you react to one of the most talented artists of our time. This song kind of reminds me of an old Star Trek TV episode when Kirk was split into two people, one 'evil', one 'good'. And, the fact that he needed both to be 'him'.

So powerful. Self taught on guitar, too.

The Plan B song Ren refers to is 'sick 2 def' (something to react to also)
Eminem has many songs picking up the subconscious theme but 'my darling' is probably the one standing out.

Hi Ren is more than a song or a performance, it is a message to all human beings who are ready to hear it. Welcome to the Reniverse! New sub for your journey.
Renegade incoming, I have subbed for more Ren. Thank you for this beautiful reaction ❤️
I think Sick Boi is next.
