I have a 98 Civic DX with a flashing cel yesterday. My issue was faulty spark plug wires. I replaced the plugs first with some improvements but not completely free of vibrations. Put all new wires on it and it fixed the issue.

And then the car suddenly got the flashing check engine light and my car started to vibrate a lot while idle but not much when I drive, plus the exhaust sound changed, with a weird noise from the engine, do you know what’s the issue? Plus the next morning I turned my car on and the check engine light was gone and vibration and everything went normal and fine, is it safe to drive it?
Hi, sounds to me like a misfire . If you didn't feel the misfire the next day , the vehicle might be compensating for the miss fire. So example if you have P0301 misfire on cylinder 1 and the rest compensate you might get a P0300 which could be why you did not feel it the next day . Better to get it OBD read. My 2007 Mercedes C class gave a check engine light then started flashing. When coming to a stop it gave me a slight bumpy / sputtering feeling. It starts up and I haven't driven it because don't want to damage the convertor. Any ideas? Great video. It idled harder for awhile but then had no engine lights on.

Hi Jason , yes a flashing check engine light should be taken seriously, however the cause is not always that bad. It sounds like a misfire which can also be catalyst damaging . Did you return from the gas station before ? Did any plugs or coils ?

@@sretif How much of the bottle did you use ? There is a dilution ratio. If you use too much the injectors might get affected. If they get clogged as a result , they will not spray fuel properly and it will cause a misfire . Have you Subscribed?

I just bought a 2002 honda crv and when I got off the highway I was stopped at a traffic light. The check engine light started blinking and the car started shaking a bit. I am on the South Island. I don't have the suzuki swift with me now sorry as it is a friend of a friends car . This might be something you might need a shop do as you need a hydraulic bearing press kit as a tool to remove the bearing (That cost like $350) and the hub nut is on there relatively tight, and requires to be torqued down to spec. I have another swift video coming out soon.

Hi Adnan, the wheel bearing replacement part itself will be around $100 to $120NZD, and probably 1 hour of labour which is typically NZD $60. That will be around $160 to $180NZD and probably GST ontop. If you are going to keep the car long , I would recommend getting it replaced at AA as bearings typically last around 100,000kms and the parts used by AA to my understanding is OEM or almost OEM, whereas other shops may use 3rd party brands.
For me it was bad compression on cylinder 5. No shop could figure it out. Turned out to be a valve issue. Valve was not seating properly causing a misfire and raw fuel dumping into the cat. You're lucky if doing a tune up fixes the old flashing CEL.
Could have been a valve spring , or a Stuck valve . Still a catalyst damaging misfire as I advised in the video. There are many things which can cause it, so in this video people can try what I advised first .
Check engine light had been flashing and car has been staying in 8 cylinder and over the last month I've had: oil pressure sensor replaced. New spark plugs (twice) and 2 injectors replaced. Have been told coils are fine. Check engine light still comes on and keeps flashing and I get "stability control error". Car is very rough, vibrates and idols heavy. What else could it possibly be? Mechanics are stumped and we cannot keep spending money. Also will note: front link pins have been replaced, 4 new tyres and yhe stability control kicks in after about 20 minutes but engine light stays on. Sorry for the long comment but I'm at my witts end

Hey there, I'm having some weird issues with my Suzuki Ignis, after I had serviced my car, couple of days later I was driving down the road around 80-100kmph and the check engine light blinked 3-4 times and then it went off and never came back again! What could it be?

If u put Gass with possibly water in the fuel would that make the engine light to flash and mortar to shake
