- Earlier this Summer my wife and I would regular this little secret spot near town for date night. The rocky outcropping that forms this shallow cove really makes the view of Casco Bay amazing. I happen to bring along my Sony FX3 with me on this particular evening and tested out the 20mm 1.8 G lens. I love the versatility of this wide-angle lens, and the minimal distortion makes for a really nice image. Using the FX3's clean digital zoom feature really allowed for me to get some tighter shots and make the shots a little more dynamic. This was filmed when I was still getting adjusted to exposing SLog3 for the Phantom LUTs, but overall everything seemed to come out really well! Using the Atomos Ninja V as a monitor helped immensely. Let me know what you think! 🙌

Thank you! Credit to Phantom LUTs for the perfect rec709 conversion 🔥
Great colors in this. About hour far + are you exposing your SLog3? I’m new to log, so TIA.
This video gives me a vibe✨ amazing shots!
Thanks! Glad it gave off good vibes 🙌
Looks really good. Which of the phantom luts did you use for this one ?
Thanks! I used the Neutral Legacy LUT on all of the clips in post and for monitoring
@@jaredlank It's one of my favorites of the pack.
I can also recommend the film luts from joel if you haven't picked them up yet.
@@Janio. same! I basically use it as my standard rec709 conversion LUT for everything. I have the film LUTs but haven’t used them much, so maybe I’ll do my next edit with them!
Beautiful footage and so calming ✨
Thank you so much! It is a very serene place, glad I could capture it for other people to see🙌🏼

Thank you, I appreciate it!!
Is the first shot using any gimbal or its handheld with active stabilization ?
Just using Active stabilization and a little of stabilization in Final Cut X! Active stabilization looks great when it works right
@@jaredlank thats great, thanks for sharing.

Any sort of mist filter?
Yes! Tiffen black pro mist 1/8
