@@jerrylowden1977 I can't say how sorry I am. I lost my mom almost 11 years ago. Am blessed to still have my Dad. I know how difficult it is. It only gets easier to cope in time.
Have stayed in Cotton Gin Village in one of the cabins and had dinner at Cabernet Grill and it was a wonderful experience all the way around. Looking forward to going back!
Would love to live there permanently in one of their small cabins. And I would eat at their restaurant every day. Just need to win big on the lottery first :o)
A long with a good wine go’s ,great food. The chicken fried steak looked great with a different style and twist, will always bring the people to eat great fresh food.
My CONGRATULATIONS 👏 !!! for PROMOTING TEXAS ""WINE'S"" & DINNING !!! that's conming from SOMEONE that lives in the STATE , that drink's the MOST WINE 🍷, in the US """FLORIDA""" and has the PRIVILEGE to live in MIAMI !!! where there is a BIG WINING & DINNING COMMUNITY !!! and GROWING by the DAY !!!👌
Ross Burtwell Is A Great Chef ! Now If I Can Just Relocate That $150.00 Gift Card For Refurbishing His Cabernet Grill Neon Signage , I May Have To Make A Date For Dinner To Savor The Flavor Of That Chicken Fried Ribeye !
I travel to Fredericksburg now and then just to get away. But didnt know about this place. I would LOVE to try this Ribeye CFS. But What i would like to know is this steak raised without added hormones and antibotics??? I have had cancer and can only eat pasture-raised beef and not "feed lot raised beef" shot up with the hormones and antibiotics.. It is so sad there is hardly any place for us cancer people to go to enjoy good ole Texas steaks . I am so starved for a good steak, especially a CFS.
I dunno. I am Gulf girl who love seafood but lobster from Maine on a Texas chicken fried steak just sounds wrong. In Fredericksburg go for the really Hill country German food.
That restaurant use to be the Cotten Gin. It is pretty good, but by far not the best food in the Hill Country. Fredericksburg over charges tourists and us locals know that. Texas wines...lol. You only have to have 1% Texas grapes to be Texas wine. Mr. Gatties next door to this place, offers a buffet and affordable. 🙂
Pardon mon ami but the pronunciation is not SOH MAH Li eh. It is SOH MEL E yeah. Regards from a Cajun that lived in France and is retired in Brazil. Vive le Texas!
After seeing the show I had to have me a ribeye with lobster tail. I was totally disappointed. The steak was thinner than a chicken fry and the lobster were small tidbits. It was so thin there was no flavor except crust. I would not recommend this at all.
I'm sure it's good and all that. I really miss when Fredricksburg was actually cool. Small, unassuming. Many locals who didn't even speak English. They spoke German. That has all been destroyed by money. Pitiful.
Shaun just a few comments. First of all it is not SOH MAL E YAH. It is SOH MEL E YHERE. However, when the sommelier is a woman she is a Sommelière (SOH MEL E YER.).
God bless Texas and y'all who live there!
Thank you, Gerald! God bless you and yours. Sending respect from San Antonio.
Thank you Gerald, wouldn't live anywhere else..from Willis Texas.

I might be willing to absorb more than the average carbohydrate load for this meal.
More reasons for texanss to stay in Texas.

Wow I was there before the Appalachian Lincoln Street Wine Market way before
You need a thick wallet to dine there too.
I don't doubt it. Sounds like it's worth taking out a loan for, though.
Talk about killing a steak. Pass
Its not that expensive!!
Fredericksburg is beautiful.
Heyyy bucket list. Great choices okay
Best damn chicken fried steak in the state.
Yeah we have some great Texas wines

He isn't the first to chicken fry a rib eye. There was a place in College Station that served those back in the mid 90s.
Had one in Bakersfield back in the early '70s. Sans Lobster.
@@tixximmi darn good steak. Still prefer em just grilled mid rare.

Why are empty bottles of wine pulled to show the camera, more than once.
Wow 🤩
No mashed taters to dip the fried steak into?
Nothing says good food like a empty wine bottle.
He lost me when he said, you never want to have chicken fried steak on the menu ☹
Outta my league!!!🤦🏽♂️

He didn't show enough of the food.
I saw the menu on the website and the sides are ala carte at $9 each so all entrees don't come with sides.

Hint: try cutting your food into smaller, less disgusting portions.
Overrated
Ribeyes are fine if you like a small piece of good meat surrounded by a bunch of inedible garbage.
