A music video/animation depicting "modified" bacteriophage vs ecoli. Phages don't move this way, and this animation is for entertainment purposes only.
Please understand that bacteriophages probably don't move this way. While this does illustrate the lysis and propagation process, this is just my interpretation of a modified phage and is done for entertainment purposes only. Phages attack bacteria, not viruses.
@@brentgreeff1115 I think TH-cam partners with the music industry. If you upload a song that TH-cam has permission to use, then it will put the license information in the description for you. Otherwise, it will likely get taken down.

You know, as antibiotics are slowly losing the arms race to resistant bacteria, phages are actually being researched as a promising alternative treatment of bacterial infections.
No, if we had E. coli in us we'd have food poisoning, and if it was our cells being attacked by human viruses, we'd have a cold or ebola or whatever we're being attacked by.

Backteriophages can either be RNA or DNA. However, once the phage punctures a cell and injects it with its genetic material, it basically highjacks the cell and forces it to make more of the same bacteriophage, which then goes on to infect other cells
It is me DIO No. Modified bacteriophages target one single family of bacteria and have different properties. Say, it’s a homing missile. The family targeted will attract these bacteriophages. So, your fine while some antibiotic resistant bacteria perishes.
