    Timing couldn't be more perfect! Almost like when you see a creepy ad pop up on your internet searches when you simply talk about a product! Starting last Thursday, I've been fighting the hydraulic filter on my Bobcat 863! It's about the size of good old FL-1A's. Some jack leg cranked the heck out of it, and I'm at my wit's end in getting it off!! Thanks for the link...this might be the answer!!!

    Genius, wish I had this when I was changing my old land rover filter.
    I used the sealey one with 3 hook things that grab the sides, I just managed to get the thing off in one piece, but it was basically crushed by the hooks - one had punctured the filter completely. Could have easily torn in two.

    These look pretty awesome, I noticed they have their own website you can visit also. Man I had a stuck filter, on my personal car no less, a little while back. It's an older Honda Accord with the oil filter on the firewall side of the block. So already an inconvenient spot. After struggling for a few minutes, I did the old trick of driving a screwdriver through the filter at an offset, and that still wouldn't break it free. I ended up cutting the bottom half of the thing off trying to get it with the screwdriver like that. What a mess. I had put the filter on while I had the engine out of the car, and I guess I used too much caveman strength. But one of these, could have saved me a lot of time and effort.

    Switched out the Pennzoil Platinum for the Amsoil SS. Engine still running pretty quiet but it sounds like the engine is slightly noisier than when it had Pennzoil. Maybe it’s just my ears messing with me but I’m gonna keep checking as I did take a recording of it before I switched out the old oil. My transfer case fluid looked good as well. Still had its red color. I think next oil change I’m gonna try Royal Purple HPS. They got it for $62 on Amazon for 6 quarts.

    Looks nice in those tight areas. Random question while I’m thinking about it since I had to do one today. E150’s with vacuum operated mode door control. When they fail, either the vacuum canister or check valve fails, it calls for like almost 6 hours to replace, at our shop what we’ve done for years is get a new vacuum canister and check valve and we just bypass the original parts and reroute everything inside the cab in the passenger footwell, charge the customer 1 hour labor for the repair and it’s good as new. How do you guys go about those repairs on that van at the dealer, do you pull the heater box and fix it to OE standards or do you guys do something similar? Just curious really

    I mean it’s a novel idea, but, and I’m no engineer, it seems like there’s already oil filter wrenches that have SIGNIFICANTLY MORE torque to remove the filter than this one does. Maybe I’ve missed something in your videos about this, but aside from a filter location that doesn’t leave you much room for a belt style or one that cups the rear of the filter, I’m not seeing why one should change from what they’ve already got for this. Doesn’t seem like it has much torque just by it’s design. I’d like to see it used on a filter that’s way over tightened to test that out.

    Hi Rich I may have missed this information in one of your other videos what year or years of Ford vehicles can the flood mode procedure be used on ? Can this procedure be used on all Ford gas vehicles ? Thanks

    • @FordBossMe
      @FordBossMe  ปีที่แล้ว

      Flood mode has been around since carbureted engines Ford Chrysler and GM have continually used this type of mode for these types of things and most of these vehicles still to this day do it especially Ford all of them since carbureted engines

    • @FordBossMe
      @FordBossMe  ปีที่แล้ว

      The purpose for flood mold was whenever you flooded the intake manifold with raw fuel Vapors you would push the throttle down it would open the carburetor wire up stop the fuel from being pumped into the intake and you would draw fresh air in to clear out any of that or all fuel they continued that on with fuel injection as well under the same principle so any Ford this works out as well as multiple other vehicles with other manufacturers
