Purdy doesn't need to win, he just need to play well. Shanahan is a black ink stain from me because he didn't have his players ready for the OT rules during the SB. Andy Reid did & they were ready.
Purdy will be fine. He is a smart qb who can read defenses, he is mobile enough to escape the pocket when he needs, he has one of the best player callers in the game giving him coordinated sequenced plays and has a really good d to keep him in the game taking pressure off him to have to score every series. Even without key players he will be fine.
I actually think youre spot on with purdy and him being a franchise qb. I do think he should win this weekend and play well though. One thing thats worth discussing is his contract and what hes willing to give up to keep the talent to be able to elevate it and the question being should he?
I think Purdy is a 1st ballot hall of famer in the making. He reminds me of Brady with his approach. Brady had a GREAT team around him... but much like Purdy, he was able to use the pieces. I dont see any reason why that will change barring a major career ending injury
@@justinschrank4806 Well Purdy played pretty freaking awesome and they still lost. Only 3 guys showed-up for the game and their combined salaries are roughly half of what the invisible Aiyuk is making.
Purdy cooked and it wasnt his fault we lost...he finished 22/30 292 yds 3TDs O INT 41 Rushing yds....He was cooking and this was a massive step to prove that he belongs. Out of the 8 incompletions, 6 of them were drops that hit the receiver in the hands
Purdy is Cowherd's Caitlin Clark to Sheryl Swoopes. Just hating on him for no good reason. Unwilling to recognize the comebacks Purdy had in last year's playoffs, especially his historical second half against the Lions. What a hater.
Dont call me a conspiracy theorist. But I think this is a game plan “test” for Purdy. He’s due for a contract next year. They want to see if he can carry a team with out play makers.
Regardless he will still have a competent Oline in front of him., unlike C Williams and the lowly Bears , , get an oline u morons ,both NY teams finally broke down after 20 yrs of bad oline play, ,. What u waiting for?
the point Colin is making is people were acting he the second coming of Tom Brady which he's not... and he can only go so far and can't carry the team.... purdy is a franchise QB just he has limits and yes they are hard limits....
Wrong. Removing talented players and replacing them with dog shit says nothing about Purdy anymore than how taking away Faulk, Holt and Bruce away from Kurt Warner would say about him. Warner is still Warner regardless.
Brock was an innocent virgin when drafted..until he got married this offseason. Now his mind is elsewhere. His life used to be football first. Now hes pressured at home as well. Having kids, the new house, a wife whos telling him to think about other things. If he loses this Rams game, he is in trouble.
Faster, quicker, faster release, better processor, more accurate, better at timing throws, smarter IQ, tougher, less turnover plays. Almost everything he does is better than Minshew and its not even close.
Here's a hot take: What if losing this game actually says more about Shanahan than it does Purdy?

Great breakdown by explaining about Brock Purdy
Thank you so much!

This is why I can’t wait for Brock to change the narrative on what it means to be a franchise QB

Give me a break lol. Purdy is going to be just fine...........the Niners are stacked! Next man steps up!
Can’t wait til he dominates this weekend and the talking heads will come out and say it was only because the rams sucked

Oh yeah, Purdy played unbelievable. Special teams player awful.

Most QBs struggle with out their top offensive weapons, not just cause of talent but because of chemistry.

So the GM and owner went to all these players and said... I want you to get injured so we can see if our QB can win a team sport without a team.

I will say though, last year he struggled when Trent Williams and Samuel were out. (Or was that the year before, as a rookie?)

If Purdy kicks but it will be can he do it without a coach 😆

I have Purdy in the range of Dak, Cousins, Carr, TLaw, Hurts, etc. I won't fight anyone if they anyone thinks he is better or not better.

What does Purdy do better than Minshew? The problem with Purdy is when people put him in MVP talks like last year
this is what Colin was talking about is he really that good? i don't think so
Purdy is a much better scrambler and a quicker processor.
