I get the builder gel done professionally at the moment, however I’m moving this summer to a location that does not have a salon that does the builder gel. I might have to start doing them myself and this made me more confident 😅. You are doing excellent and exactly what my nail salon does now. You explain the process so well. Thank you 🎉
Hey girl! Loving your videos! They’re super helpful. I am super interested in a video of you doing your non-dominant hand with all the tips and tricks you have. Puuhleaase!!
Thanks so much very useful. I will like a video on drilling off your nail/product off my nail. Also will like video on how to prep my nail before applying the gel
Hiii, I think you save my fingers with this tutorial! 🩵 I have a question! Can you please help me? 😅 I want to buy some press on nails, but I don’t want to stick them on my natural nail. right now I have Builder Gel on them, can I do exactly this and just rough the surface and the press on nail too and stick them on? Or can I just use a base coat cure it, rough the surface and repeat the same step? I’m going the whole nine yards to get them right the first time. I DO NOT want to go to the nail salon with a disaster on my nails 😂 thanks 💕
Loved your video! Quick question about chrome, if you were to apply chrome powder on top of the overlay do you require top coat? I know chrome powder requires non wipe
Yes, you do need to apply a no wipe gel top coat on top of the builder gel if you want the chrome to stick. I hope this helps! I do also have a video where I use chrome powder if you want to watch it. th-cam.com/video/Mi06uXUZYhE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HhGKrv3cGWbyt2mK
No, you don’t but you will need to wipe off the tacky coat that is left on the builder gel after curing. The top coat makes it super shiny. I hope this helps 😊💕
do you find the builder gel makes your nails less scratchy? i have eczema and usually get acrylics because they are blunter and don't make me bleed when i scratch but i wonder if I could save some money and learn to do builder gel at home?
I think that the builder gel would help because it does make the nails a bit thicker, and natural nails do tend to be more sharp because they are paper thin. Let me know if you try it! I hope this helps😁
@@Maddy-Marie I got them done today! They aren’t sharp at all! I’m definitely going to be binging all your videos now to learn how i can do them myself. Thank you so much :)
They aren’t the weakest nails ever but they also aren’t the strongest nails. The builder gel adds strength to them so they don’t break when I have them done.
If you have a lot of lifting on the nails you will need to takeoff the lifted product before you fill it. But yes a fill can be done on gel. I hope this helps
I found this video confusing as to the slip coat is that base coat or the builder gel.. is that cured first before putting on the second coat of builder gel? The nails you removed the gel on you stated were acrylic but then spoke like they were natural as to the tutorial being application on natural nails. Very confusing
My previous set of nails were gel nails not acrylic, I just removed the gel that was on my natural nails. The basecoat that I applied I cured but the slip coat you want still wet when you apply the bigger blob of builder gel. After that, you then cured the builder gel. I hope this helps 😊
@@Maddy-Marie I missed some words.. I meant your first section of removing gel off of your acrylic nails didn't have anything to do with the title of the video involving builder gel on natural nails but you got to the topic in short order!😊
Good tutorial, I like that you don’t ramble or have annoying music playing in the intro or under your VO
Glad you liked it!

Coming for this video too! 🩵
I didn't know about that 1st thin layer of builder gel. Maybe thats why i keep flooding my sidewalls. Because i haven't been doing that...
Very nice, I enjoyed that! We demand more nail gel polish videos 😊🌹
More to come!

@ Yep perfect, Thanks very much ! 😊
Beautiful 🤩💖
Thank you 🤗
So you do base, then thin layer of builder cure? Then the thick layer of builder then cure ? Thanks so much I’m so confused 😢
1. Base coat cure 30 seconds
2. Slip layer (thin builder gel coat) don’t cure this layer
3. Thicker layer of builder gel, make sure it’s smooth, cure 30 seconds
4. File if needed
5. (Optional) Apply gel polish, cure 30 seconds
6. Top coat, cure 60 seconds
I hope this helps!!

@Maddy-Marie my natural nails are Pretty strong😀 I love long nails too
Is it possible to do a fill on regular gel? One hand is ready to be redone, but the other seems to be sticking well. Can a fill be done?

Great tutorial!! It was very detailed, your speaking voice is calming, and the timing of the shots 🤌
