    I’m glad I found your tutorial! I’ve grown tired of the dissatisfying nail salon visits and today was the last straw! I will be attempting builder gel on my own. Thank you!

    Thank you. I also watched your similar video to this yesterday and tried application last night. Watched this one today and didn't realize I needed to alcohol wipe the sticky builder gel later. I've had builder gel for a while as a friend had given it to me but was too afraid to try it. The way you explained it made it easy! And I love my nails today

    I loved your explanation! I currently keep having cracking issues. My cuticle area has no lifting whatsoever, but I'm getting a lot of cracking on the free edge of my nails. I haven't been adding the extra bead of gel you mentioned in your video. I'll try that on my next set and hopefully this fixes my issue. Also, my next purchase will have to be an E file. lol I've been hand filing and it takes forever.

    You did a great job on explaining everything!! Quick question though, for the base and top coat... is that base and top gel nail polish or specifically for the builder gel because I have the base and top coat for gel polish. i just don't want to buy the same thing if I already have it.

    • @Maddy-Marie

      Thank you so much! Yes, you can use what you have for your base and top coat. It’s the same thing, but I would make sure that your builder gel and base coat are the same brand. I hope this helps 😀

    • @isabellabuck7992

      @@Maddy-Marie Oh yeah, I definitely made sure it's the same brand! I also use beetles so it was very helpful when you used it because it was already familiar! I just bought the builder gel from Beetles today and will try it out tomorrow so I'll come back to your vid and watch it again😁

    Can I use normal nail polish over builder gel? I’d like to use builder gel as a base, but because I like to change my nail colour weekly, I thought I could do it that way and use non acetone remover to take the colour off and redo without having to do the base (until it grows out and needs re doing ofc)

    • @Maddy-Marie

      Yes, you can use normal polish on top the builder gel.

    Looking at the lamp you posted a link to - so, 30 seconds is enough to cure the builder gel even though it’s thick?? Thx! :)

    • @Maddy-Marie

      Yes, 30 seconds is enough to cure to the gel. But always check the gel you use for the cure time.

    Do you happen to know the color name ? When I click the link it brings me to a multiple pack which doesn’t include d056. I love the color and would love to use it 😊

    • @Maddy-Marie

      This is the builder gel I used and its the color sheer pink. I don’t know why it doesn’t show the color number on the listing but that’s the color. amzn.to/41xlOay

    Very interesting. I don't know anything about builder gel. Why not dip powder? Seems more forgiving.

    • @Maddy-Marie

      I have tried the dip powder and it may be easier for some to use but I prefer gel because it looks better in my opinion. Also I don’t like working with power but that just me.

    I have a question for you. Are these products anti allergenic? Are they safe to use?

    • @Maddy-Marie

      Like all gels you can still develop allergies if you are not being careful. But as long as you don’t get the gel on you skin and keep it only on the nail plate you should be fine.

    Mine always chip right off

    • @Maddy-Marie

      That could be because you didn’t prep the nail surface well before the application or the product is too thin. I would suggest prepping the nail better next time and see if that fixes the issue. I have a video all about nail prep if you want to watch it th-cam.com/video/EY-gWRIwq-4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=PkeaVh6914I8q9JO
