    Really impressive result where we know exactly what these objects are made of - metal, ceramic, glass, stone, liquid - just 💥💥💥

    I agree with not working on a painting this size for days. I paint to relax from my job. I feel that hyper detailed paintings are too stressful to paint and after a bit you want to be done with the subject you are painting. I love the looseness of your style. Gives more exciting feeling.

    I am taking your sketching class for watercolor. I think one of the most important watercolor lesson was your video on learning how not to leave hard edges and knowing how much water to pigment ratio is best. I'm just about to watch this video. Thanks for your inspiration 🎉👍‼️

    Using more layered washes will give you more time - great tip. I'm doing that with a truck painting right now. Was wondering how you'd feel about it. I didn't feel like I could commit to the final value to start out. Thanks for the video!

    • @LironYan
      @LironYan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Lisa! 😊🙏🏼 Indeed - this makes it easier to slowly build up to final value.

    Wonderful still life objects well painted. Question please: how do you prevent blooms from forming?

    • @LironYan
      @LironYan  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! 😊
      They are usually created when paint in one area reaches a certain % of dryness, and then is touched by a wet wash.
      I try to be aware of what areas are wet, and how much. If something’s gone past a certain point, I *try* not to touch it with any nearby wet wash.
      But the emphasis is on try (:
      I fail at al of this quite frequently haha.
      You’ll always find some blooms in some areas of my paint, and it’s fine. I’m not too worried about it in the grand scheme of things

    Hi brother… you are an amazing artists and teacher! Thanks so much for this well elaborated content. I’m relatively new to water color and English is my 2nd language so I wanted to suggest you elaborate, while doing it, on the terms you use such as Wash or Glaze? I think I know what they mean, but with 85% confidence level 😂

    • @LironYan
      @LironYan  ปีที่แล้ว

      Will do! Maybe even a separate video haha 😊
      It’s been a while since I discussed terminology

    This looks really great 🎉 another question, do you always use the same palette with the same colours or do you have different palettes for different paintings?

    • @LironYan
      @LironYan  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m pretty much always using the same colors. But I do have 3 palettes I go to, and I’ll rotate randomly every couple of months 😛

    I realised that you used most of the areas wet on wet or wet on damp...that's one of the reason it looks very fresh and realistic...this is what Louise De masi uses for most of her paintings.sorry I always go ga ga...about her. It suits me too much

    • @LironYan
      @LironYan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I actually don’t think I mostly did wet on wet. Most of the sections were painted on a dry paper. I do however, make use of the paint while it’s still wet - to add details etc…
      The only exceptions are for areas I want to be smooth-edged, so I might pre-wet a small section of the wash.
