- A small sample of a level initially developed for the fan game Donkey Kong Country 4 and which was cancelled. It would take place in a temple in the mountains.

It might’ve been an error in google translation tho, as the creator of the vid is Portuguese and the other videos allude that it was only the third demo’s release that was cancelled, but maybe im wrong so idk
As cold cliffs description says “this level is just an excerpt of a level that wont be in the final release” which makes me feel it might not be cancelled??
Yeah I've had to resort to just playing fan romhacks & creating my own kaizo romhacks of DKC1 & 2, since Nintendo/Rare doesn't make them anymore.
Having the kongs go to the himalayas or whever this is, is simply a beautiful and natural progression of dkc level theming!

Interesting idea, but i think we all know that if DKC 4 was ever made, it wouldn't be in this style. Every game in the trilogy had new themes and a fresh style. Developers wouldn't steal ideas from all 3 previous games, they would make 4 fresh too.

The music is way too busy and loud. It appears you can get stuck in a few places and the spots where you can blast through the floor should be semisolid instead of holes.
Overall it looks like a nice level but it could use these improvements.

the game itself was not, what is discarded would only be this level that was initially used for testing

Ohhh, phew, thought the game was cancelled! I was starting to go sad! Fortunatelly the game is still being developed. This level looked really good thou, hope they decided to release this level too, as a standalone level like they did with the Marathon levels and others@@Rangelukaz
@@alexaldayLC Really. Hearing the game was cancelled, I thought it was possibly because Nintendo sent their cease-and-desist ninjas after the team, or the team decided to do so to avoid Nintendo's legal wrath.

There is still no playable version of this level available for download, as it has not yet been completed and has been discarded.
But it's not really for SNES or even sticking within its specs properly, so it doesn't really mean much to me. I'd have been very happy to see this for SNES, but as a PC game, there's plenty of other stuff I'd much rather play.
