The reason why she would rather die than drink their blood is because this time it would mean the death of her children. The other times she only drank the blood of the kids as a 'special treat'. So she would never drink too much but after she got shot she was going to have to drain those kids in order for her to live.
The witch is named Queenie and she's a living voodoo doll. Any injury to her actually injures whatever she wants. The AHS seasons that deal with witches were amazing. Coven and Apocalypse I believe. You need to check them out. Definitely supernatural enough for you. In one of the later AHS seasons one of the witches tries to go to the hotel to rescue Queenie's soul but can't and then the Anti-Christ Michael is able to.

James is based on HH Holmes. H.H. Holmes was an American serial killer and conman active from 1891 to 1894, often regarded as one of the earliest recognized serial killers in the modern era. He gained notoriety for constructing a sinister hotel during the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair, famously referred to as the “Murder Castle.” This building was designed with hidden passageways, false floors, trapdoors, and soundproof rooms, some equipped with gas vents intended for his lethal schemes. The book the Devil in the White City is written about him and the 1893 World’s Fair architect Daniel Burnham.
Oh, I think she meant “can’t be photographed” as in drawing attention to herself not aging by being in movies rather than literally not showing up in photos
Well I've always thought of it like this I think it's Mother Nature or fate or whatever putting in balances in counterbalances sure you have rapid healing but now you have 99 Problems good luck like in the vampire diaries with the originals
Depends on the type of vampire. Most werewolves fall under a couple categories and are usually extremely similar across fiction. While most vampires can vary immensely. For example if the vampire is supernatural, a spirit demon or undead, its healing is magic. If the vampire is biological like a stregoi, its healing will typically be slower then the average werewolves of fiction. There are unique cases like in the blade multi verse with marvel, but thats a total cluster fck and a mixed bag.
Vampires also typically dont have functional hearts in fiction. They barely have blood flow and what they do have is moved by large muscle groups. They have no body temperature which means when their cells work at hyper speed they dont cook themselves alive with the metabolism running so fast. While most werewolves in fiction are alive. Warm blooded. Meaning hyper regeneration would cause them to combust. If you wanna try and explain the fiction
And lastly here it could just be the writters way of balancing such a over powered monster. Its hard to make a story when the character is near immortal. They need weakness, superman hates green rocks, vampires hate lots of stuff depending on the story. Silver garlic holy items sunlight.
Actually a good idea, I’d imagine their lore would be pretty crazy, not too dissimilar to Witcher (which he should also do if he hasn’t, those vampires are god-level)
Great video as always. It would be cool if you could cover Dracula 2000. The vampires are not crazy impressive in the movie but the lore is super cool and very interesting.
There is a Vampire you have not yet covered: Grandpa Munster. Interestingly in a new version of the Munsters Grandpa Munster was played by Eddie Izzard. The series is called Mockingbird Lane. I have seen only the pilot.
The show '666 Park Avenue' is a good one to look at, great show with a great cast. The show is about a Hotel in New York (The Drake, 999 Park Avenue) and the magical things that happen. A couple move to New York for work, and become part-time managers of the Hotel, noticing weird things happening. This show is based on a book series, but the show has a number of changes from the books. Great video, as always ;-)

I absolutely loved this story line and how they connected Natacha Rambova & Rudolf Valentino and his premature death to the virus plus the connection to German impressionist and legendary director F. W. Murnau and making the Countess the infamous woman in black! AHS: Hotel is one of my favorite seasons overall!
I wanted to let you know about a tv show called Curse of Dracula. It was part of another show called Cliffhangers. Cliffhangers was an attempt to bring back serial shows that used to be shown in movie theaters. It aired back in 1979. There were 2 other stories along with Curse of Dracula. The 3 stories had 20 minute episodes. I always remembered the Dracula show for 2 reasons. One was because the woman Dracula had fallen for was the daughter of one of his victims. The second was because I found it fascinating that in order to turn the lead heroine into a vampire, Dracula had to drink her blood 3 times. It probably would have lasted longer than 10 episodes if it wasn't going up against Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley.
I think vampires have lot of weaknesses because mother nature putting counterbalance into place for everything that is otherworldly will stay in balance. If Vampires came from supernatural origins, their weaknesses & their abilities is magic. If Vampires came from biological origins, their weaknesses & their abilities is genetic. vampires were seen as undead, unholy, unnatural in lot of stories over the years since the creation of the vampire for storytelling. (When Vampires came into existence) Mother nature: .....? (Two hours later) Mother nature creating weaknesses for the vampires!!😂😂

In AHS, witches develop one sort of super power when they begin to flower as witches, and then usually develop a few more as they get stronger. The Witch in that episode, Queenie‘s, unique power was that she was a human voodoo doll. She can transfer any physical damage done to her, including by herself, to other people. Spells DO work on spirits but James March, as a ghost, had no physical body for her power to connect with.
At the end, it was the amount of blood that bothered the countess, as it would kill them. I also believe Bartholomew was Rudy's baby because of how precious she held him.
