This is the best angle for the camera I've ever seen in chess. I can ACTUALLY follow and even calculate what's going on and it's 100% the camera angle tilted almost at the corner but not quite toward black..... It's perfect! Should also work on white side too!
Didnt know Wang before, so I thought he stands no chance and jumped to min 42 where I see Carlsen is down a pawn and threatened by a past pawn. Well played Wang
The winning moment for Wang Hao was at this video time: 38:43 after Carlsen move his Queen to D5, Wang Hao can take the white pawn At C4 With His Rook at C8. After that, the Black Queen and Black Rook can guard Wang pawns at A5 and B6 to become Queen
Foolish idea from you Continuation is White Rd8+ .Kh2 is the only move for black which is followed by White Qxf5+ and the only defense is g6 for black followed by Qd7 check mate It's a forced mate in 3 So foolish idea
Agreed -- push the black pawn forward and gain a square but would not of been able to gain a queen (white king would have blocked). He wanted that backup pawn protected and therefore covered it with his rook.
Magnus speaks a language that few GM understand when the Chinese noticed h5 !! with a pawn but cutting the King of Black with a pawn and tower is a lot of vision
At around 42:22 I thought Wang was going to move the pawn in E4 up to E3 Setting up for Black rook to F2 taking Whites pawn (Check). Would that have been a stronger move than the rook to A2 from Wang?
I have an idea about the camera angle. Let there be a camera on the white side when the move order is white. Let there be a camera on the black side when the move order is on the black side.
Whether it is street fight or criket or other kinds of games it is a money fixed match. So people can bet and they have a go. Like srikant hitting a six in the last ball. And huge money transfers. Some games are played for fun Etc.
Actually Carlsen shouldnt have disregarded the move Qc6 which was an obvious comprimise by move Qxa4. I sometimes dont understand why GMs play so awfully . But it was wonderful to see Magnus levelled the game . There are lots of teachings for an amateur in this game . I watched it with great enjoyment
I don't know why people here says Hao offered the draw? it is clearly Magnus offered the draw because he sees there is no other moves to advance the game. Hao did not have 2 passing pawns. because the one of the pawn is cannot be protected and the other pawn cannot advance
At 30:00 why did Wang not play Qxf2+ (I thought that was the point of Qc5! the move before)? It breaks the pawn cover of white's king, I don't see how black could be in danger after that.
thanks for posting the game. Question anyone- why at 13:00 after black played Nxd4 and Carlsen took back with the Rxd4, but instead of taking the Nxd4 couldn't have Hao taken the Nxe5 followed by Qxe5 and winning a pawn on e5?? anyone.
You resign when you know you will lose. When you're down material/in a losing position, you will still have a chance to turn the game into your favor by waiting for blunder/mistake moves from your opponent. But in a GM level, the chance for a blunder is very little-to-none, so when they're in losing positions, they'll resign immediately because they know that the chance for their opponents to blunder is small (though it is not always the case, there are many games where the losing side still continues the game)
I believe the board they isually use is DGT (Digital Game Technology) board. You can search DGT walnut, rosewood, or wenge chess set or something among those lines as it resembles the chess set in the video

@@hakim7894 But then, after Qd6, you have to play g3 to support the f4 pawn, which weakens your kingside. Why not just play BxBd6 QxBb6 instead?
