Great Review. I was especially impressed with the Fairline's positive action of the *passerelle and rear window The quality of the build, woodwork, instruments, floor plan, use of windscreen to light the galley/forward The crew accommodation would make a great storage area for seat cushions and covers & possibly a toy or two. The hatch access to the galley to the flybridge seems to be unique or at least uncommon. The interior hardware seems to be near perfect, especially considering the age of the YACHT.. Marine Sales Scotland quote of the day......."glasses storage here and then your weekend/the weekend fridge for all your debaucheries". Well Done: M. H.
that really does not look like a 23-year-old boat... the wooden features are just timeless! Looks like someone has taken great care of it . Thanks for showing us around!
Thank you Reuben for this great Yacht this Fairline Squadron 50 I like the round lines of this boat of this generation much more of my taste then the more square what you see now Thanks again Reuben a great show
A wonderful vessel, affordable too. Running and maintenance would cost a bit, but all in all I just want to be comfortable at sea and make lifelong memories, because that’s what life’s about! I’d say this is perfect for me, especially since once again, it’s surprisingly affordable.
MARINE SALES SCOTLAND QUOTE OF THE DAY. Crew cabins can be used for storage or maybe the in-laws are coming; you don't want them sleeping in the cabin with you/you don't trust them. That is fine; you can put them in there. it's comfortable And more importantly, it does the job.
A very nice example and what seems as a very reasonable price. I really like the woodwork as it invokes that superyacht feel... Dress for dinner, tux for the men and cocktail dresses for the ladies, champagne and canapes with a pianist playing on the aft deck as the sun sets. Then off to the casino. Could you sail this to the Med hugging the coast ? I wonder what that would cost ? If I had the £180k to spare I'd probably buy this one. Is there such a thing as a marine mortgage ?
I really enjoy the walkthroughs of the yachts at your brokerage and your presentations. I am puzzled, however, as to how you get them in and out of Loch Lomond as l thought there was no access to the sea. Do you need to ship them by road transport?
Really difficult to predict Franklin, then if we tell people and its wrong they can actually use it against us believe it or not! If I were to take a guess, I would say it would be maybe 4-5L of diesel per mile
Hey Rubin! Great review. Always learning more about the sometimes subtle, and manytimes considerable, differences between yachting in the UK and US. Between the US Pacific NW, US SE, and UK, boat designs and equipment are considerably different as one might expect. Only way to know is for your followers to be global in nature. Then they might more fully appreciate the diversity of boat design and equipment. Cheers!
Agreed as I’m from Las Vegas and I’m pretty sure I’m going to buy a yacht from this gentleman. I like his style no pushy sales tactics just very simple I’m gonna show you this yacht and also give you the sale price, so if your interested call me and if your not continue browsing because most likely we will have something you want to purchase….Here in the states most of them don’t give sale price because it’s the old used car salesman method that if I get you on the phone I can convince you to purchase so as far as me if you don’t list the price I just move on and put you on my blocked list so I won’t waste another second of my time so anyways your doing a great service and I appreciate you and also thank you see you in the future when I’m ready to pull the trigger on a yacht and I absolutely love the WOW factor and the in-laws suite was literally hilarious keep up the great work….
The middle class cannot afford this beautiful thing, mainly for its maintenance and other costs of use (fosslile fuel and work hour). The other up in the socio-economic scale just put these things for sale and look for other toys. I'm (not that) amazed with the high prices of smaller, new and more efficient boats: they are purchased only by the very wealthy. Money only matters for people who don't have it.
Problem with this type of boat: there’s no residual value left in it despite the remaining life. This is a nautical motorhome. On one hand is obsolete, on the other is disfunctional. I won’t comment the obsolescence but the disfunction: is not an ocean crossing due to its dismal range any dry-docking service would cost far more than the risk of loosing the boat entirely (the real reason for selling ?!) it definitely won’t sleep 10 as no one right in his mind would attempt eliminating his entire family at once (all his friends, maybe?!); to me there would be value if it was more than a day sailer-which is not, with all the pretending. Good news is this theoretically could turn into an ocean crossing by adding tow tanks; bad news is this boat is too flimsy for ocean crossing. If money wasn’t an issue I would probably see a £40-70k value as a daysailer in search for the proper lake, assuming love at first sight from someone naive enough to go all-in.
Hi Ruben, will you take a wife and three kids as part exchange by any chance? Only kidding, great boat, great video, great channel, thanks for sharing.
I expect these type of craft will become obsolete with engines that are fuel guzzlers which cannot be justified with todays fuel prices. The overall price seems very optimistic.
@@charrison8182 It's not just about the size of your wallet but the individual's carbon footprint, which most people have been forced to confront with higher energy prices.
I'm going to buy a yacht in England and ship it back to the US. This is a $275,000 boat in the US and our Diesel without road tax (marine or farm use) is $3.00 a gallon. That's $3.00 per 3.8 litres. This is a fucking bargain. Shipping would be $15,000
The accommodations below deck are amazing for the age of the yacht and the heads x2 are immaculate
Can't believe how spacious the heads are! A very fine example of a 30 year old boat. Cheers!
Thank you for watching Josh, we appreciate it!

Very impressive, I'm sure that won't take long to sell. 👍🇬🇧
Hope so Stevey!
Hello,
Still available and at what price?
Great video !!
Herman From Belgium.
I love the crack about the in laws. Lol. Great tour and walk through
Not that it's a major issue, but it would be interesting to get an estimate of hourly fuel cost at cruise based on the current cost of diesel.
Really difficult to predict Franklin, then if we tell people and its wrong they can actually use it against us believe it or not! If I were to take a guess, I would say it would be maybe 4-5L of diesel per mile
The best boat sales vid I’ve seen, and you’re amazing. And yep, where’s me chequebook!
Thank you for watching!
what a well looked after boat I will be in the market in 12 months time if this boat came up I would jump at it.

Thank you for watching Goran, we love it!
Absolutely beautiful boat !
Why do British boats have such sharply raked front windows, just because? That’s just the preference
Love the layout. Thanks
If you didn’t tell us the year of the boat/yacht, there’s no way I’d believe it was 25 years old.
Very nice and not stupid money. Thank you for sharing.
The in laws in the crew cabin 😂
Is there a washer and dryer?
Looks great value. But you really need took after your zebras!! But honestly, we love your commentary Reuben. So informed but hilarious 😂

Wow. I would snap that up immediately. At roughly Au $360K its a bargain. To get a boat like that here you would pay closer to Au $600
Beautiful for its age!
Stunning boat ( I’m Russian can’t buy boats no more to much risk now to buy one )
Worth every penny 🎉

So agree
Every boat is a gas guzzler, even smaller speed boats suck it down. People who can afford it will still buy these types of boats.
If you can afford a toy that big you can afford the gas to put in it
Bit of a Jealous sounding comment
