My outdoorsy younger Sister (58yrs old) was given my Dad's "hand me down" Coleman 2 burner propane stove a few years ago as a still functioning keep sake, which we used recently on a joint camping trip. I said, that looks like Dad's old Coleman & she said that It was & It is still working gr8 after over 40+ yrs of regular service. Coleman is synonymous with old school American values of rugged dependability - I'd highly recommend the Coleman Camp Stove!! Of course, just about anything Made In America 45 yrs ago was destined 2Ba Reliable Product, bcuz IT was Truly a better Country back then...
I have the Everest, and would not "trade-up" to the GSI based on one feature alone: it's higher heat/burn propane output (double the GSI). I want to cook quickly and efficiently, and those 20k burners do the trick. One caveat IS, however, that you have to use GOOD (i.e., heavier guage) cookware, or the heat will be too much for the pan! I car camp so weight is no problem, and I use cast iron or 3-ply stainless.
Hello, Perhaps you have answered my question, based on the video, it looks like you can use the Escape 2L -3L pot on the camp stove? Wasnt sure if it was just for products like jetboil or MSR burners? Thanks in advance
@@goOutdoorZone Thank you guess it was really a question of a 20K BTU burner (Camp Chef Everest 2X) vs a 6K BTU burner (Jetboil) when they mention camp stove. Cheers
Hello my friend we hope all is well and that you are keeping safe. Thanks for sharing this as we have been looking into getting a new camping stove. Stay safe Love and Light Sarah and Glenn
@@UguysRnuts Why, too heavy for you?. If so, yeah I can understand 😕. I was thinking about getting the titanium version myself, even though I have the steel version too LOL 🙄.
I guess the Coleman Classic was a good buy? Glad I picked one up.
Yeah! Coleman Classic is a good choice!
