Hi Paul, I'm on my second Jetboil, my first lasting 15 years. I bought the Zip model to replace the old one but that one you have is much more refined! The gas knob is much safer on yours being able to control it further from the flame. I'm liking the recess in the lid for the cannister stand too! Happy home camping, Paul

I've been watching your videos all winter waiting for the spring to attempt my 1st hike and wildcamp. Obviously on hold now. I'm 39years old live in Cumbria and I've never even been up any fells yet. Hopefully this year. Keep up the good work.
Hi Paul. I loved camping in the garden the other night. Not the usual adventure, but did mean I could get ultra comfy rather than my usual 'As light as I can get away with' approach. I like the design of the jetboil but prefer the ETA lite+. This is because I had a jetboil flash let me down at the OMM a couple of years back (the pin that presses down in to the canister jammed). It was a bit demoralising at the time! The Primus has never let me down - well, so far! Stay safe mate, Oli
I used to own a ETA lite. These are also good stoves. As for the Jetboil, I really like the stove. It's very efficient with the fuel and the simmer control is very precise. The skillet is great too. It's from valley and peak. there's a link in the description of the video. Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and look after yourself my friend.
A small cool bag with thin ice packs will keep your meat usable for 3 days easily, I take a couple every trip in the summer. The MIER small lunch box bag (£8.99 for 2) and the Thermos Freezeboard Ice Packs 200g (£7.12 for 2, x2) on Amazon fit together perfectly. I add a little cardboard inside, above and below, for extra insulation but it’s not necessary, it helps the bag keep its structure more than anything.
I'd just think about what you're taking but meats alright for a while or you could just freeze it and let it thaw before cooking it but you could use cured meats like bacon, prosciutto, chorizo which are fine hanging in the atmosphere
Jet boil looks sick but I don't boil that much water or like gas cans so not for me and I only like music videos but I watched your video instead of finding another after asking for likes
The only thing missing Paul, are the hills in the background .. now where’s that green screen? 😉 By the way, the metal filters you can get for the Aeropress are really good. I got mine from Amazon.
I've been buying old army kit earlier this year, planning for a big hike later on in the year, camping out in your garden (during the current lockdown) means you can test your kit, without any issues(?) not yet got everything, but I can certainly start testing kit, thanks for the vid and stay safe
Outstanding brekkie. Most memorable brekkie I ever had was cooked on a stainless steel shovel on a building site in Coalville, Leics. Bought a Coleman fyreknight gladiator two burner stove the other year, oh dear I think it’s from the bottom of the falcon 9 rocket, it’s roars.
The only thing missing ...........was black pudding......you certainly know how to live during these hard times Paul! Great video...keep em coming! ... Be safe....!
What, no black pudding? I have a gen1 JetBoil that still works. I still use it for camping but for backpacking, I've switched to a lighter system. From what I understand the MiniMo is more efficient with its wider profile at capturing heat and the regulators can now simmer. Sounds like you love it so that's what counts. Thanks for sharing your backyard adventure.
I blame panic buyers for no black pudding haha. I like how this Jetboil is a little more veratile. It's very efficient with the fuel and the simmer control is very precise. The skillet is great too. It evens out the heat well across the pan, and the non stick surface if the best I've come across to date. I think the there's so many more types of meal that you can cook on this setup, over the Jetboil style stoves that are only really setup for a quick boil. Thanks for watching.
That is a very well thought out and designed stove. The first cool think I noticed was the canister stand folded up and slotted into the pot lid. Very practical.
Well done that is a Full English Breskfast making my mouth water....... I dont camp i sail with a small sailing cruiser but was looking better breakfasts and up popped your page.. A real breakfast !!!
Nice one , I had to buy my pan support separately but it's great , like the look of the frying pan tho , I bought a cheap one & stupidly used it as a plate as well , scratched all the surface with a fork & knife , so glad I learned my lesson on a cheap one ....
The skillet is great. It evens out the heat well across the pan, and the non stick surface if the best I've come across to date. Thanks for watching my friend
Great video Paul. I've been using the jetboil since my army days, it's a great piece of kit. The frying pan looks to be a new improved product. I have bought on separate occasions, the fluxring pan. Both pans were awful, both only heated the centre of the pan due to the flux ring which burnt the food continuously. The heat would not go beyond the ring to the outer edge of the pans. Needless to say I opted for the GSI pan. Still it's an invaluable piece of kit that goes everywhere with me.
The aeropress is a good bit of kit. I bought one bout a month ago. Along with the Pocket Rocket, I can't wait for Lockdown to go away so I can get to the Brecon Beacons; then The WHW in April, all being well. GREAT videos!!
Little tip ive found, it you put the plunger at position 4, take the filter cap off, then pour the water onto the coffee. (Let the water cool a little first, you dont want to scold the coffee) then put the filter and cap on, spin and plunge. Better tasting coffee.
I'll have to try that. Thank you. The aeropress is a bit of a faff but it makes a great cup of coffee. But if you are outdoors, or camping then there's no rush so the faff is worth it. Thanks for watching and stay safe.
Hi Paul, I’m a newbie to your channel but not to this game, having done my Silver DofE in 1964 and been an expedition leader and assessor for the Award scheme but now retired. I’m impressed with your channel and the way you guide your viewers through equipment and the etiquette of this type of hobby. I’ve still got most of my kit but when on overseas expeditions the tent was always provided by which ever organiser my school chose to use. My own tent is not suitable for backpacking but my Exped mattress is my most treasured possession, it was the one you pumped up using the palms of your hands, real comfy. Your videos are tempting me back, not least by this Jetboil!👍🏻👍🏻
Paul. What a delight to see your videos during these rotten times. I have watched you for a long time and this will be my first comment. Fantastic, food looked lush, great stove review. You do seem rather hard to beat withing the camping and wild camping scene. Stay safe and keep your fantastic videos coming.
Getting out this weekend for the first time in a long while in the Mourne Mountains over in Northern Ireland. Think il be making a full Irish ;) but thanks for the inspiration for breakfast! Always good to see small tips/ideas like this to add a bit more enjoyment to the camp!
I’ve been thinking about getting a JetBoil for a while. Can’t really go anywhere at the moment, but I’m tempted. As the festivals are also cancelled, I might just pitch a tent in my garden as well and isolate out there.
Myself and the family had a great time garden camping during lockdown - we probably spent about 2 weeks in total spread out over many weeks, sleeping in the garden - we did open air camping, lightweight hiking-style camping, hammock camping, we got the teepee out on occasion, and even had a luxury camping experience when we told the kids they could bring ANYTHING from the house to our "campsite". They both slept on their full bed mattresses and we had the 50" TV and Playstation in the family tent as well! The thing we missed most though was our campervan - not going out in her for such a long period was a bit of a shame. As for the fry-up - to be honest that's better than most people manage with a full kitchen!
I always enjoy Paul’s you tube clips and as of recently, the longer videos. I don’t know about everyone else but watching all of the you tube channel videos during the lockdowns really helped me. I just ordered this kit. The Opinel knife is amazing, but take care, it’s wicked sharp!
I love black pudding. Forgot to pick some up and it's not as if I can just nip to the shop at the moment. Thanks for watching and stay safe.
Paul Messner I thought as much.....!
Breakfast looks delicious. Great netbook
Well done that is a Full English Breskfast making my mouth water.......
I dont camp i sail with a small sailing cruiser but was looking better breakfasts and up popped your page..
A real breakfast !!!
great demo from a Brit in South Africa...theres only one place you can really get a true English breakfast....and now in a jetboil, really cool!!!
cant believe I have just pent my lunch time watching someone cook breakfast :) Good times.
Nothing will stop Paul camping! Nice vid as always :)
That was brilliant. Definitely gonna try
Good video and demonstration of the Jetboil.
Love watching your videos. Thanks so much for making them!
Paul I just found your channel. I love English breakfast. You’re an absolute legend.
Welcome aboard!
This is awesome. My son recently tried to fry an egg on a backpacking stove. This takes it to a whole new level.
Hi Paul, I’m a newbie to your channel but not to this game, having done my Silver DofE in 1964 and
been an expedition leader and assessor for the Award scheme but now retired.
Big fan of your videos! Thank you for sharing :) This looks delicious!!!!!!
Thank you. Big fan of my Jetboil. 😍
Getting out this weekend for the first time in a long while in the Mourne Mountains over in Northern Ireland. Think il be making a full Irish ;) but thanks for the inspiration for breakfast!
Always good to see small tips/ideas like this to add a bit more enjoyment to the camp!
That's perfect example to stay home stay safe nice dude
Hopefully things will be back to normal soon and we can properly enjoy the outdoors again. Thanks for watching and stay safe.
Awesome meal-Love your entire setup. Looking forward to your next video adventure.
It's my new go to cooking setup. Really pleased how it's performing. Thanks for watching.
Excellent video Paul thanks for posting
Breakfast looked amazing, love a good one pan breakie, you not fancy a bit of toast
This comment is really a BIG thank you to Paul Messner … you’re a star ⭐️ Dude 😉👍👍 Best wishes to Jo as well 👍

Really nice setup. Like that jetboil made a way to use ordinary pans. Yeh and the breakfast made me hungry!! Another great video!! Thanks from North Carolina!
