Hey Lee, I have figured out how to get the plane pic in the setup tab, I had to load a wing Configuration and then change the settings at the bottom to match my Timber which has Rudder and Flaps then copy and paste the old servo settings from the previous Diff file and Bobs your uncle it all working great....👍👍👍
Really interested in iNAV for some fixed wing nitro planes that I am pulling out of storage to tinker with. Also wanting to tinker around with the rover function for an RC lawnmower project.
If you change this value, should that reflect in the image in the Setup tab? For example in 2.6 I set my plane level on the ground, then prop the front up a bit for the correct flying attitude. Then tweak the pitch offset until the Setup tab showed me a 0 pitch. When I do the same in 3.0... changing the fw_level_pitch_trim number does not seem to have any effect on what I see in the Setup tab's pitch value.
Oh wow! I may be to old for all of this! I just started the rc hobby. I am flying regular planes,ie; Aero Scout, Sport cub S, and a Maule. Would like to get into fpv but there is so much info that seems to be WAY over my level of knowledge. I enjoy you videos of you flying your wings, but I'm not sure about all this inav info. Can you give me an idea where to start to try and get a handle on this part of the hobby. I have thought about taking my Aero Scout and making it my fpv. Not sure if that's a good idea or not. I would really appreciate any input you can give me as where to start and with what equipment for a beginner. Thanks, k
The INAV for beginners series will start out by explaining what INAV is all about and then show you how to setup a model with it. It is aimed at newer pilots so worth a look. In terms of FPV, you can start cheaply using something like the Quanum Cyclops Goggles - see my Kit Picks 2021 video from a few weeks back.. Best of luck, flying fixed wing the things like INAV and FPV is a whole 'nother level and immense fun!
Lee: I am very grateful for your willingness to work the bleeding edge of new stuff for us. I certainly need all the help I can get. Are you currently using Express LRS 915 or 24 in your Atom? Which? With INAV 3.0 installed? Any tips or hangups we should know about that combination? Thanks! - Jim

Hello! Excellent video, I would like to answer a question if possible. I'm almost ready to make the first flight using INAV on an airplane, I only did tests with the airplane on the ground and stopped. I noticed that when I'm in manual mode, the control surfaces, elevator, ailerons and rudder, move as much as possible, but when I switch to ACRO, the surfaces move very little, even with the sticks at 100%. Does this happen because I'm at zero speed? Or is something wrong? Thank you very much in advance!
Hi Lee, many thank you for your excellent video and sharing config. I have been able to fly with inav and with my dolphin for the first time out of the box with it. Unfortunately I did not take your advice to test it on a windless day. Seems like I messed something up the brushless motor settings when I configured the controller. Do you have any hints about those settings on the controller e.g. start mode, motor brake,. Best Dani
Hi. I'm a Japanese who has been using iNAV2.6 and is finally switching to 3.02. Please tell me only one. Regarding FC Alignment, in 2.6, the angle of attack correction value (about 4.0deg) was put in the pitch angle, but in 3.02, is it correct to put this value in fw_level_pitch_trim?
So a successful reflash of V3.0 (thanks to your videos), however, sitting flat, the plane has a -3.6 deg Roll in Set-up. Do I have to recalibrate the gyro to fix that, or is there a way to do it in CLI?
Also noticed that the compass is off 90 degrees CCW. I noticed the Board & Sensor Alignment on the Configuration tab says CW 270 flip. I played with that and it doesn't appear to effect. I am referring to the heading displayed in Setup and Mission Control. BTW - I do have a good NAV GPS lock.
I'd refer to the DIFF ALL you saved and see how it was configured last time. In terms of the 'level' I've used both the re-calibration and uploading the ACC calibration data (as I've done here). The latter seems faster. You can then offset the align_board_roll CLI command
NAV 3.02; skyhunter plane; matek722 WPX F.C. In setup screen the plane icon shown but will not move. Accelerometer checked as ok but is greyed out next screen. Will not accept new set up, Like to start over again. What is command in CLI to delete existing data or is this problem originated somewhere else

Dont matter what a botton im set on AVTOTUNE in fligh i cant TURN ON this function ! Im fly only in ACRO mode. In FC all bottons work`s correctly,but in ly whe im Turn on Avtotune im dont see on scree "Avtotune" and its just not work ! With Reptile s800 on inav 2.6 i dont have any problem with that ! some one ?

Advanced tuning would have been the most interesting tab, but also the one asking for most detailed knowledge :-)

Depends on your definition of 'better'. The Dolphin is more agile but the PRO is better when you need lots of space/LiION..

I'm almost ready to make the first flight using INAV on an airplane, I only did tests with the airplane on the ground and stopped.
