A lot of people have suggested SpongeBob’s death battle opponent should be Gumball from The Amazing World Of Gumball Show and death battle didn’t give people what they want
One of the writers of death battle didn't really understand the reason behind spongebob vs gumball and thought it didn't make sense and he originally thought this would be a close fight until him and the team started researching them

They said that it's the fastest CALCULABLE speed feat they had. Superman, Sonic, The Flash are still faster. These characters can straight up break the speed formula by arriving before they even left (aka. Time Travel) using raw movement speed. Like, you cannot put a number on it because the mathematical formula that you need to use to figure it out doesn't work.
