I have had my 03 F250 CCSB Lariat for 3yrs now and it ran ok when I first bought it. Within the first year, the unknown 58V FICM failed and burnt the injector harness. New 48V FICM with a PHP Atlas 40 tune and new harness had it running again. It still didn't start very well cold so I tried hotshots stiction eliminator. Within a month 2 injectors completely stopped working. I replaced all 8 with Holders Premiums and another oil change without stiction eliminator. She has run great for nearly 2yrs now. I drive this truck everywhere daily and it has been very reliable.

I've run that stuff from day one on my 6.0L... not a single issue. I've put over 300k miles on it using HSS stiction eliminator every oil change. The issue is not the HSS... I would seriously look deeper.

new injectors fixed the issue as i stated, the HSS caused the stiction to appear. didnt have stiction before adding HSS, had stiction immediately after HSS. so for my experience, HSS is the issue

@omgbbqcia911 Well, you'd be the very first person to have injector failure from HSS. I'd reach out to them, and see what they will do. If they are truly to blame, they will make it right. They wouldn't be in business otherwise. 👍

@@CR500R im sure that there have been others that have had negative results of HSS, but also hey some people buy a vehicle and drive it 200k no issues, and some people have the engine blow before 10k its a mixed bag. if it was a set of new injectors that were messed up i may have reached out, but since they were injectors of a unknown age i took the opportunity to have both the injectors and the oil cooler changed at once!

@omgbbqcia911 Good deal! I recently had my injectors, turbo (KC Jetfire Stage 1) intake plenum (ODAWG high-flow), oil cooler, and coolant flushed. It was an expensive service. But these trucks deserve it. It's never let me down with the exception of a failed EGR cooler. But that has since been remedied. I use Schaffers like others here recommend.

New to your channel. Sounds to me like you filled your whole engine with hotshot stiction eliminator, hotshot is an additive, you put it with your regular 15w40 engine oil. I personally run shell rotella T4 15w40 and put a whole 64OZ of hotshot stiction eliminator in with my oil. You should always let a diesel engine warm up 5 to 10 minutes especially under 40 degrees. That’s my input, hope it helps.

Stiction is a coating or film from oil build up on the spool valve caused by high milage Usually when one injector fails due to stiction the others are close to dropping also you probably had one dead injector and didn't notice till the second died. What's your FICM voltage at cold start? Id also look at fuel pressure. Id keep my eye on those before id blame Hot Shots I know the HEUI system fairly well

I no longer use any additives, I have heard several of the same thing happen where they put oil or fuel additives and then all of the sudden problems arise. Good oil, filters, and fuel filters when you should are how the truck was made to run. I think it is probably the best way. They never factored in all these additives when they made the thing in the first place right???

As everyone else has said, it was not the Hotshot. It could be a number of things causing your issues. Bad batteries, bad FICM, bad injectors, weak HPOP, HPOP leak (especially pre 05 motors) leaking stand pipes or dummy plugs. There are so many possibilities that you basically have to test everything ive listed above to root out the problem. Dont just start throwing parts at it. That will be a big mistake. By the way, most 6.0s will run rough until the oil warms up, thanks to the genesuises at Ford engineering.

Have both your batteries tested, check your FICM (fuel injection control module).. both of these will give you starting issues, especially when it gets cold.. When my ficm and one battery was shot, it would have to be plugged in or would not start under 50deg.. I got 2 new batteries, a new ficm and a new high torque starter off a newer 6.7.. Guaranteed your having one of these issues.. The ficm ups the voltage from 12 to 48 volts to pulse the ignition coils for your injectors.. If you put in new injectors, they will go bad and start acting the same in not so long.. Please have both batteries and ficm checked..!!! I made all these mistakes years ago with my 05 6.0..

SO…. You only have had the truck since November 2022. You performed your first oil change since owning the truck, you added an additive. You replaced the turbo at some point. And then you noticed a problem at cold temperatures. Does it have a block heater? Two injectors running codes, replaced all 8 at the dealership, along with a clogged oil cooler. And experiencing oil leaks around a glow plug. So one year (one season) of ownership and you put Hot Shot Secrets on blast?
No dude, you got a used 20 year old truck with issues and you are shifting the blame on a reputable company. Nice truck.

Your profile picture is the same face i made while losing brain cells reading this comment 😂😂
So allow me to decimate this comment for you.
      here we go:
      - Truck ran fine before HSS, ran like garbage immediately after HSS.
      - truck started perfect and ran great in any temperature (including temps far colder than were present upon the first start after the HSS was added) from Nov. 2022 when acquired until Oct. 2023 when the turbo was replaced and oil was changed and HSS added. upon the FIRST startup after HSS was added, the engine ran fine for a minute or two, then started running like garbage. going forward, the truck would barely start even in 40+ degree temps even with the truck plugged in, and would not be drive-able until the oil reached above 120ish degrees. which was a running condition that never happened prior to HSS. Additionally now the truck was throwing codes for 2 of the Injectors, which prior to HSS there were no injector codes.
      - weeks after this running issue began, one of the o-rings around the electrical connector for one of the glow plugs began leaking oil. this was the catalyst to have the truck taken to the Dealership where they replaced all 8 injectors, replaced the o-ring on the glow plug connectors, and replaced the oil cooler while they were in there at my request.
-After the work was completed, the truck was back to the same perfect running condition it was in prior to the oil change and adding the HSS.
so yes, HSS ruined my 6.0 powerstroke, and you have been rekt 😂
