CZ Shadow 2, Optics cut by Primary Machine

- In this video we are taking a look at our CZ shadow 2, which just had the slide return from Primary machine with thier optics cut package. This slide is now equipped with a holosun 508t. Excellant craftsmanship. Graphic black cerakote is impeccable.
I've been wanting to see one of these. I don't think anyone does these better than Primary.
That looks better than the optics ready version of the Shadow 2.

Are you able to remove the optic and put back the iron sights if you wanted? Nice work on that slide
I noticed that the front sight is gone , do you run the gun without the front sight now ? I had my slide milled by Cajun gun works but the fiber optic front sight covers half the optic now and I can’t even use the red dot
So do you think the graphite black is the best match to the ORM CZ black finish?
I'm trying to find a shop to mill my accushadow for a sro.
Does Primary machine have options that include back up sights? Do back up sights defeat the point of having a red dot?
For the cz shadow they may not for other platforms they for sure do. I dont think having buis defeats the purpose of having a red dot....they would be back ups. I think it most depends on preference and how you plan to use it. Thanks for commenting!

Good question,when I did this the OR wasnt available and since I already have it I havent spent a whole lot of time looking at the OR. If the optic sits as low on the OR I think it might be a wash.
@@TacticalAdv I believe the optic sits lower on your slide than it would on OR Shadow 2. One thing nice about the OR is that the rear of the slide does not have the triangle shape, therefore there is less or no overhang of the optic. And 2023 OR models has rear serrations which were not present in all the model years prior.

they used proprietary screws? That doesn't mean you can't remove them, does it?
You can remove them, they are just cut to their spec from what i understand

How does it affect the reliability? Now that the weight distribution on the slide has changed? Can u do a test shooting video?
no issues with reliabilty.

@@TacticalAdv yeah, I saw their website, they do different kind of cuts on the slide in addition of milling the optic, I guess they cut the slide to even the weights that the optic adds..
@@hotsaucebone This particular cut is just to have the optic system fit. Which allows the optic to sit a little lower...which is preferable. The other more agreesive lightening jobs, like their harbinger is more to make wieght....when that was a concern in competition. This year USPSA changed the wiegh restriction so now those cuts are really non essential. More for aestetics. You wont find much of a timing issue by just adding an optic.

Sweet video.... I was wondering what an optic looked like. Now I'm completely new to guns, I'm assuming this gives you some kind of magnification? I suppose furthermore, you may be able to order one of these online with the optic installed. I'm up in Canada, so I'm trying to get all this done on TH-cam before I place the order. I'm at least two months away with all the regulation anyway.
Spend all that money on a great gun, and then put a shitty sponsored Holosun on it. How sad.
Actually, not sponsored. I actually prefer them over the trijicons.......which I own several of. I have astigmatism and the RMR/SRO's starburst for me. I have sytematically been changing the RMR's and other optics out on my comp guns for quite awhile. I think I have around 8 (holosun's) of them now. Probably have between all the channel optics around 60k rounds through the holosuns without an issue.
