The whole point of the segment is to find and highlight people who don't know wtf they're talking about. It's not funny if you include everyone with a basic sense of geography. America has plenty of problems, including in its education system, but watching Jimmy Kimmel isn't how you diagnose those problems.

When I was 10 years old I could name almost any country on the map, my skills died down a bit, but as a 12 year old I can still name all of the country’s that play a role, and about half of the country’s in the world, I am attempting to learn the name of every single city now. And relearn every country. This video killed my insides.
Same man. I took AP Human Geography in my freshman year of high school. At the end of the year, I had a 116/100 in the class due to getting more than the required amount of countries on each map test. Brought my GPA up to a 4.6. Dang I miss that year.
