    Update: Renaming this as an in depth tour video and I shall make a more comprehensive driving segment video with this in the future.
    Things now sorted out after video posting:
    1. New handbrake boot
    2. New fuse cover
    3. AC compressor, evaporator, drier tank
    4. More transmission issues
    5. Factory-spec wipers
    6. More suspension parts
    7. New headlamps plus back to stock H4 Halogen bulbs
    8. Loose rear door latch
    9. Interior dome lights fixed
    10. Differential oil replaced
    11. New handbrake cable
    Things to be sorted out:
    1. Repaint back to original green colour
    2. Driver side sun visor
    3. Interior plastic trim pieces

      Don't forget to replace lower ball joints they can collapse at anytime if not replaced it is a Achilles heel of this vehicle search LBJ Prado 90 series and you will thank me later.

      @@milsongalleto2670 Thanks. I usually have this car serviced lang sa Class A along Amoranto. They specialize tlga in mga LC, and they source most of my parts for me. As for parts they can't source out, just look for Nonoy Lee on Facebook.

      @@KyleLiongCars it's a great car, thirsty and loud but very reliable. Great for long trips, camping, etc and handles my 1000kg camper trailer fine.

      Definitely agree on the loud part haha I’m thinking of having sound deadening materials installed.... Haven’t taken this for long trips yet, been using my diesel Fortuner for those instead

    I have one with 380,000km. I wanted to have a look and see if i could find a youtube video which showed how load the engine was on ones with less Kms. Sounds like yours is maybe a tad quieter than mine. Great video and i hope you have many of years with your car!

      Glad you found my video useful. I'd usually be wowed at cars with 380K Km, but given that we know how amazing our cars are, I'm not even surprised :D

    Ah the prado, I remember using a tz prado back then, it had a 1kz that felt intense but takes a while to reach 100, and the heat of the engine can be felt from my legs lol.

    Tips:
    You can find umbrella box under the passenger seat and if push the head of the center consol forword you will get cup holders for the back seat passengers

    My favourite car, i have the Diesel version, excellent wagon. I see them all the time with over 500,000kms. They have the same engine as the Hilux and Hiace and four runners.

      I regret not getting the diesel one of this, but also don’t mind the extra fuel consumption in exchange for smoother power delivery

      @@KyleLiongCars I havent driven the V6 version, but my diesel can be pretty fast. I used to own the 120 series Prado with a 4.0L V6, also very nice. They are very easy to drive, i find Diesels a bit easier to control too. Yours is very tidy looking, considering its 23 years old. Mine was filthy and very bare when i bought it, but after a lot of work and cleaning inside, it looks pretty good.

      Hahaha probably only looks tidy from a couple of feet away 😂😂 I am really considering having mine repainted back to the original Toyota green color just to make it look stock again :))
      We have the FJ Cruiser (got a vid on it too) which uses the 4.0L V6 as in the 120 Prado and it really is pretty smooth. Despite the displacement increase, it’s also more economical being more advanced and newer

      @@KyleLiongCars I do like the Toyota Green. Yes bigger engines dont have to work as hard. I guess you could always find another one that is already green/diesel whatever, but if youre like me, you just cant let your truck go

    I have the 3.4 version in Australia they are very tough cars and are very off road capable and will run 1million kilometers on same engine if looked after.

    im not comfortable with the brightness of the glass headlight assembly. im thinking of replacing them with plastic crystal headlamps. ur thoughts? thanks

      might be dark because of old reflectors. Just try the regular brand new old stock ones if you find them

      after getting the EGR cleaning, my mileage improved slightly but i think am getting around 4 or 5km/l pa din. i think that is the best it’s gonna get!

Can you please make a comparo on these 3 focusing on their reliability, comfort, value for money? Generally which one to get if you have less than 500k php budget. Thank you!!

This still tops my list so far though, patrol as close second because it still looks badass, i just worry the ride is not as comfortable as the prado (the way you described it).     Were these J90 Prado's released locally in Ph? I'm checking out a 1999 Prado 4x4 Manual Dsl. Owner says its a local unit, orig LHD. Can't find anything online really on the PH market prado's history. TIA

    It's hard to find such thorough reviews of the J90 Prado, Salamat! I'm not sure if the price you paid is in-line with other models in this condition, but I'm curious to know how much the maintenance and repair cost though.

      Thanks! The price is about right for its condition but the repairs were pretty expensive. Overall though the car is cheap to maintain. It just so happened that the repairs it required were pretty major

      @@KyleLiongCars So I bought a 2001 3.4 model with 218,000 kms and a month later the reverse has a delay in engagement, as if it's stuck in Neutral, until I try again. Have you experienced something similar because the transmission is supposed to be bullet proof?

      Happened to mine too but not for reverse. First thing you gotta check is tranny fluid. It does that if it’s low on fluid. Second, your gearbox might be shot just like mine. I needed to have a full rebuild

      Not quite sure how they did it exactly in the shop since I left it there for a couple of days, but I'm pretty sure it involved carb cleaners

      @@KyleLiongCars are you sure that’s correct; epa rates it at 14mpg city 20mpg highway. 3 km/l is like 7mpg

      EPA is always way too generous, and traffic is crazy here in the Philippines. We do average speeds of around 15 km/h or even less

      Just very typical of Toyotas. You could be maintaining an Innova or Fortuner and you’d be spending about the same amount of money :)
