    The entire time I've owned my truggy I thought the front was just naturally tight. I'm so glad you told me that if its locked up it stiffens suspension during travel.

    That’s great information. We are on a shut down and can’t get parts. That made my day. 👊

    I need someone to prove that sway bars really work on RC cars WITH THE SHOCKS ON! A lot of videos with no shocks so of course the sway bar pulls the other side up.

      We change them all the time for racing and can feel the difference with a 0.1mm change.

  • @jstump1972
    @jstump1972 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I assume if you’re going to change as an example to a softer Swaybar to get more roll, you’re going to do front and rear and not just one of them correct?

      Can depend on what is desired. Sometimes one end is too stiff compared to
      Another. A quick change I often make when grip comes up on a track is to just go up on front swaybar 0.1.

    Awesome video! Hope to see more of these as well. I think it's really cool as a new comer into the race scene, have a pro driver literally walking you through his set up and how to get there. Super informative as well.

    Great video, just got my my first buggy (absima ab3.4) built up and after running off road truggies and noticed just how much it rolls so was looking into this but nothing showed how these are actually installed, and now I know, thanks 👌

    Like to add couple things that even veteran RC racers over look. One you can adjust sway bar resistance not only by thickness but also how far in and out you mount your sway bar links on the ends.
    Second sway bars can get bent so taking off your sway bar and placing it on a completely flat surface can show you if it's bent, your sway bar should sit flat completely. If it's bent even a little it will literally pull up on one side and push down on the other making your rig handle wierd.

    Great...the first video i watched on the wltoys buggy car i want to install lc racing sway bars did not show them installed to where i could actually see them...your video showed them well from all angles..even though its a different car i still see how they work on mine now...very simple...thanks

    What is the use in a swaybar? Particularly offroad racing? And how do you decide what thickness is needed?

    Thank you for the video would you be able to do a driving video on when to brake, and throttle? I understand what brake and gas do in the air. But i really need help setting brakes and when to brake for corners and adding throttle out. Cheers

      K M Adventure-Live Life I don’t currently have one. Thing is there is no one size fits all answer.
      I can however show how I adjust my brakes and check them before every run. Stay tuned.

      @@RyanLutz actually I need to learn how to drive better any help at all would be benificial. Even take some footage of you driving and voice over what your doing would help. I mainly drive ebuggy now and setting up brakes and when to brake would help. How do you see if your brakes are set properly what percent of brakes do you set etc?

  • @MegaDieseldriver

    So would having these set too tight bend shock shafts.... asking for a friend 😐

    • @RyanLutz
      @RyanLutz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure if they would bend shock shafts but would create undo strain on suspension components.

    Hi Ryan, I've been watching your videos for a couple of years, thanks so much for all the advice you put out for us all, can I ask u a question, ( when you drove Td DNX8 buggy with your pink alpha engine did you like it as much as other cars you've owned and raced,, the reason I ask I've just built a brand new 2015 DNX8 and put your pink top worlds engine into it, I love it but I'm curious to know if I have something real good here or if I could have found something better, I got the buggy kit half price because Td are no longer building cars, sorry I know your busy but I would love if you could give me your thoughts, ✌️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

      Hey Aaron,
      It was a solid car. It was different from others on the market and perhaps struggled a little when the track got rough. But it was unique and good overall. Hope you enjoy it. :-)

      Thanks for replying Ryan, i will definitely enjoy my new buggy, I've learned so much from you already, your expertise and knowledge has made this 1/8 scale buggy absolute class, thankyou from your rc pal in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✌️

    Like what I see with all the new changes. Will the soft gray arms be standard on the new kit. That is what I have always ran on my buggies. Or will we still have to do the mod to make them work?

    • @RyanLutz
      @RyanLutz  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure yet what will be on the new kit in that regard.
      What is the mod to make them work in reference to?

    On 215. You have to use different bearings and shims to make up for the gray arms being shorter than black arms. Billy can explain it better
