- You must go here in Vietnam! This is Cat Ba Island and National Park, is it Vietnam's kept secret? At least it's not on everyone's itinerary and we think it should be! This is the largest island in Ha Long Bay area and its really really beautiful to put it simply. In this vlog we show you some of the best views we've come across so far in Southeast Asia, we go on hikes, check out lookouts, have Pho for lunch, swim in the ocean and most importantly get some amazing footage!

So glad you guys did Cat Ba as a lot of Western vloggers skip it and I bet there's a lot more to see/do there. You guys are crazy to do all that hiking/walking in that heat and humidity, but I appreciate all that effort for the views up on top (karst on land) and below (karsts in the sea). I love that walk you you took that wound around the mountain that overlooks the sea...beautiful!

Vietnamese people hide from the sun so the beaches are usually crowded in the morning and late afternoon, which is why it was swarming with people when you guys went. Unfortunately, all the people crowded in one small area plus the trash would have made me sad. Hopefully the government will start programs to teach people to stop littering scenic sites and start clean up efforts.
Yeah you got that right, very busy in the late afternoon, hopefully there’s less garbage eventually too

Cát Bà is the third largest island in Việt Nam while first one is Phú Quốc. Cát Bà and Cái Bầu, the bigger one, form the north and south limits of Hạ Long bay

Hey guys can i check how long it took for you to complete the hike to the national park as well as the cave?
Hi there, I think we were able to hike up to the look out in 45 minutes and down in 30 (with a good amount of time up there in the middle). Then we took our bike about two minutes down the road to the cave and the cave was probably 20 to 30 minutes to complete :) hope that helps!

Which hotel did both of you stayed in? I'm going on the 12th November for 3D/2N.
We stayed in the Green Hotel, its in the main town of Cat Ba and was a nice place with great free breakfast every morning :)
How was your time in November? Where did you stay in the end ?
@@george4vIogging We stayed at Phoenix Flower Hotel. Location middle of downtown. Front of the hotel overlooking the beach.
Staff very friendly and helpful and can speaks English.
About 20 minutes walking distance to many restaurants and bars.
Simple breakfast is on the 8th floor, very nice view.

Haha no tigers, only tiger geckos, tigers are exceptionally rare now sadly. Perhaps some snakes though, but that’s a small risk, and there’s always risk in everything. Thanks for watching! 😊
