I have a pair of the original Mood shoes in brown leather. Nice riding boots if a bit stiffer than some of the summer riding shoes I own by Highway 21. I do like the updates and am encouraged that I can get these in my size. I wear a 6 and 1/2 wide in a regular shoe. The 40 fits as expected. These aren't yet available on the website but the grey version looks great. I wear the Moods mostly as winter riding boots.
Nice looking shoe, but it won't replace my original Moods, which are great as an incognito riding shoe for casual office wear. Might pick these up as a more everyday option. Wish they had added a side zipper, that's really been my only complaint with the originals as they can be a little hard to get in and out of, since they are a bit taller than a lot of other riding shoes. But since they're going for waterproof with these, I understand why the zipper is skipped as that would add complexity and cost to the waterproof aspect.
Hey, calling from Norway. I bought the shoes in June, have my first ride in rain just now and they are NOT waterproof. Have You any experience with that ???
These shoes, and all waterproof shoes, will be waterproof to a certain height. However if water goes in the top of the shoe, since it’s so low, your feet can still get wet. If you are touring or riding in rain for extended period of times, a tall height WP boot is usually the best option for practicality.
