- Decided to sell the Tacoma and build a 2001 Mercedes Benz G400! 4.0 V8 twin turbo diesel! We did a complete 4” lift new Alpha Equipt wheels, 35x12.5 Yokohama Geolander M/T and a ikamper 3.0!! Hope you enjoy

@@brentw331 check out some used early 2000s models. If you’re in the budget for a 5 year old Jeep, a mid 2000s model G is in the same ballpark and has all the same features and more!

Actually it doesn’t look stupid to have the ikamper mounted the other way around…I am quite surprised!
For me, doing an overland build, it's G Wagon & Land Cruiser, both the most capable vehicles in the world. Your GW is amazing!

I have a 2002, i had 24" rims (not off road) ,then went back to 18". The wheels felt so heavy, the odometer readind was slower. I like what you did. I want to fo the same but wonder if it will drive better or worst? This will be a day to day truck
if you decide to get a slide-out galley, it'd be wonderful to see the process.
Great build. Did the 35s fit without any cutting needed? Can the tires fit 2.5” lift? Love it. So clean.

Do you remember if this is the stock exhaust sound for a G400? I thought only the ones with the side exhausts have that V8 rumble (G55/550/63). A stock G500 sounds pretty boring. Thanks.
