Amazing vlog again! Syifa, it's good that you don't forget your Asian roots although you have an 'English' feeling there in England. The beauty of a place or a people is always unique, and all your videos of different places have their own uniqueness. Rightly said, we can't compare apples with oranges. But one of the things I really like is the historical account in the videos, which makes me think about an ancient past - its civilisations, societies, peoples and so on. I love this so much! I live outside of York and always go there, it 100% one of my favourite places in England, it’s such a beautiful city! I love seeing other people enjoy York as much as I do and this was such a great video to show it off! If you ever get chance to visit again you should do the cat trail! There are little status of cats all around York and they were placed there in the medieval times to ward of evil spirits, one of the many little magical things I love about York!

Lived and worked in York for 15 years. They say home is where the heart is. Well mine home will always be in York, even though I doubt I'll never live there again. One of the world's finest historic cities.

Syifa, having you a Fish and Chips reminded me of my days in England with my English girlfriend in late 90s. She is also from North Yorkshire and having fish and chips that too on Friday is quite common and good match. As I always say, time flies and life takes you to many different directions, sometime the way you want and sometime the total opposite. I regard that life is a journey and we are just travellers living behind different memories. So Syifa, enjoy every moment of your journey. What a lovely surprise ... York ! I visited that place a couple of decades ago and just loved it. My only regret then ... not taking a bite of the whole beef rump that was being roasted.

It's unlike any other city because it's tiny - a big town at best (technically a city because of the Minster). It always makes me chuckle that the shambles attracts such attention and visitors from all over the world, who come to see the street that has had centuries of piss and shit thrown into it from a great height lol. What tickles me even more is that such a large and arguably the most famous city on the planet (NEW York) is of course named after our wee ye old town. You can't mention its Roman significance and even show the bronze statue of Constantine without mentioning him by name (the Minster sits on centre of the fort and where the impressive Basilica once stood). The popularity of York with some of the highest property prices outside London, is all the more surprising considering after the world wars, there was no where else in the country with higher levels of poverty. The river is very scenic and the gem of the city beside the Minster has to be the world renowned National Train museum, fittingly located next to the main station, but it's proximity to the Yorkshire Dales and the coast is why I particularly like York
