I can't believe how beautiful this place is, The country must be very beautiful and I can't believe you're there. Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us, Enjoy your trip and Enjoy your life.
Where you had your lunch in, at 6:46 the dug out made of wood you thought was for sheep, is in fact a "Butt" a shooting Butt, you stand in there and shoot Grouse from it. Grouse are driven towards you by beaters, and you try to shoot them, but they fly very fast.
Great video, I will start subscribing! I went to the Scottish Borders (w my then girlfriend) 10 years ago, we walked St. Cuthbert's Way (100 km in 4 days), and were equally flabbergasted by all the quaint villages we encountered. One night we slept in a barn and the host woke us up in the morning with organic coffee and eggs. Wooler, Bowden, Kirk Yetholm are all massively interesting (we are from Oslo), and the hike showcases the best of Scottish nature with tons of sheep in between. We ended up in Lindisfarne and then travelled by bus to Berwick, and after an evening of exploring the quay, harbor, fortifications and city, and a great night and full Scottish breakfast in a B&B, we returned to Edinburgh and Mile High. Wish you all the best on your journey and love your mastering of the British vocabulary - I am learning new words every minute from your video!
I went to a boarding school (Duke's Grammar School, Alnwick) years ago, several of the boys came from Wooler. Later I stayed in a B & B with my German friends. It was a really wonderful time, the memory of which is tinged with sadness as my German friend Werner passed on - the breakfast was unbelievably delicious. The Cheviots though rugged are very walkable. I always thought the Cheviot sheep had craggy faces.
Really surprised to know such a lovely place there. Choice of background music is really amazing and strong enough to almost unearth my lost memory that I’d once lived there long long before my current life…🥹🥹🥹
Hi , thanks for the vid , I'm from B A , Arg , I been in the UK several times, from North to South, the four countries, everything is beautiful there , but those villages are really gorgeous , Cheers!! 😊
Hi Syifa, lovely video; such a dreamy, quiet feel. I love the wide landscapes, with sunny spots and cloud shadows moving across the hills. Looking forward to the next one!
Dreamy and quiet, that’s right Diz! Perhaps a little sleepy even 😂 Love that you described the cloud shadows, the vastness of such landscape is often so breathtaking and meditative!
Years ago ( 1996 ? ) I had to Drive to Inverness from Southern England . I shared the driving with someone else and we could claim the fuel allowance on expenses ! We worked out there was a shorter route ( The old A1 / Great North Road ? ) leaving the A1but still going the south to north ,but we could still claim the mileage via the A1 and pocket the extra cash ! The road was narrow and windy as I remember , but the country side was stunning and amazing with some lovely towns and villages passed through ! The only Town I remember passing through was Coldstream ! Always wanted to go back and explore the area a bit more but never did !

What a beautiful and picturesque Scottish countryside. I am absolutely speechless right now. Thank you Syifa for this beautiful episode of the Scottish/English borders. I actually can’t wait to see it to myself in the future.
I really enjoyed your vlog. I miss all those sceneries. The cottages in the UK are absolutely gorgeous. A bit different from Denmark but surely the best♥️🇲🇾
Thank you Habibah! I am glad to hear that and yes cottages in the UK are always so charming although a bit too tiny for a family more than 2 to live in 😂
So happy to have discovered your TH-cam channel .. this is the first video I've watched and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I've been doing research on my family tree and my ancestry is Scottish. To see this beautiful part of the country makes me happy to think this is where my ancestors/family lived at one time and how lucky they were ... it's absolutely gorgeous!!! I hope to travel here one day to see it in person and learn more about the history. I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos! Take care and happy travels! ☺

I live about 7 miles from there in the nearby town of Kelso( well worth a visit). I nice tried to buy a house there but wasn’t successful. Probably just as well as it’s quite high up and can get cut off with snow in the winter.Really beautiful countryside round there as well as the Borders countryside generally. People tend to think of the Highlands when they think of Scotland but the south of the country is also very beautiful if a little less well known. Happy Travels!
That’s so cool! I actually went back and forth to Kelso for a coffee and proper croissant. There’s a local bakery that was opened by a Romanian-Scottish, forgot what it’s called. Thanks so much for watching!
...charming little town at the borders, Syifa... it looks peaceful, but also a little 'sleepy', which isn't a bad thing, but I wonder how it would be to live there... I really like that you are not just going for the 'in-spots', which are on everyone's bucket list...
