    The piece is all Rock but has all a sequence of drama, tension, crescendo climax and end. The Video for Song showcase what I just mention. Incredible Musicianship from this guys!!❤

    I'm speechless 😂🎉🎉❤❤ WOW!!!!! Is the best I can do. It almost appears effortless to surpass the speed of light, and do it in such a beautiful, melodic way. John Petrucci is transcendant, and the trio is awesome together ❤️ 😍 ♥️ 👏!!!!

    What's the trick to getting undistorted audio with these phone recordings. I've got some great clips from the Phoenix show, video is perfect but audio is useless.

    • @guitaristera6774
      @guitaristera6774 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you want to have a clear audio then you have to be in the middle of both the output Monitors, recording from a distance (not very far)

      Petrucci’s cabinets are offstage, so there’s less volume directly into the front rows.

    Portnoy appears to be kinda second guessing where his next hit/stroke is when he's moving his right hand between the hats and ride. From all the times I've watched him play he is usually floating around the kit effortlessly. Maybe he was having a bad night?

    • @morejelloplease
      @morejelloplease 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i watched it again and didnt see any hiccups. he was playing around a bit and counting some of the more difficult parts out but i didnt see any train wrecks.

      I like hearing some songs a little rough around the edges. :) It's not easy music to play, recovering from slight errors is key here.

    Does anybody notice that Mike portnoy skips a lot of drum notes coming from 0.40 seconds of you compare it to the temple of circadia original number. There is an extremely complex part that he skips. It seems he doesn’t have the technical abilities anymore like he used to have

      There is a difference big between playback and backing track. Playback is when someone is faking their playing, like there is no actual sound coming from the instrument, but still "somehow" the instrument is there and players are traying to mimic what is coming out. This is common e.g. in Eurovision Song Contest where only the singer has to sing for real and other players are only pretending of playing. Backing track on the other hand is not about faking. It's pre-recorded instrument(s) which is there to support the players. The players are playing for real on top of e.g. layer of orchestra since no one has money for real orchestra for such an unimportant part. So no. It's not playback.
