    I'm getting jealous of the beard not going to lie. What would you like to see me do more of? Hair tutorials? Something else? I'm open to anything, please let me know 😇

      Can you do braided hair like the one on my avatar's head?

      @@AnimazingDigitalDreams I would use the new hair system for that with geometry nodes. You can pretty much get whatever shape you want with that. Check out the tutorial I have on that to get you started 😇

    More hair tutorials please. This video has been a great help to me in understanding blenders hair system. I'm using it to create custom hair for UE5.3.

    Pro Tip: select the faces where you want the hair to be (using draw select) in edit mode (from the side 90 using x-ray) to symmetrically select both sides of the head, then duplicate the faces and separate from mesh. Next, scale it down just under the original model's skin surface and add a particle system to the new mesh. Adding hair directly to your face mesh is destructive and will destroy the hair groom in the future if you ever need to change the geometry on the original head for sculpting or connecting the neck seam, etc.

      Great tip! That's very useful. Thank you 💙 Nowadays I use the new geometry node hair system to have a non destructive workflow, but for the regular particle system workflow that's definitely an amazing tip! Appreciate it.

    Awesome tutorial! Is there a way to 3D print the final result (or is it even possible)?

    By the way, what's your opinion on the new blender hair system?

    • @NinoDefoq
      @NinoDefoq  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's amazing, can be used very well with geometry nodes for all kinds of purposes! For basic hair systems I still use the good 'ol particle systems tho 😜

    The problem with having so many parent hairs is that when you add clumping for the children, you don't really get much of an effect
    Ideally the method would be to have less guide or parent hairs , then the children fill in the gaps, but hair interpolation in blender is not that great. Good clumping is essential for hair to look convincing and blenders old hair system, although you 'can' get nice results, is a little lacking
