Absolutely! I haven't listened to their entire catalog yet but I've enjoyed almost everything I have heard, those first 4 albums especially are amazing. Thanks for watching!
I have heard and seen Camel Cds in the local shop but never have listen to them. I will check them out. A bunch of stuff I do not know but I will look them up, I do know Tommy by the Who. The movie is awesome. Great video
Thanks man! Yeah I love Camel, not sure if you're into 70s prog stuff but if so those first 4 albums are mandatory, in my opinion. I'm a big metal head but also a fan of a lot of music in general... I love Tommy (the album) but haven't seen the movie yet, will have to do that. Might even watch it tonight actually. I picked up a copy of the Quadrophenia movie recently but haven't gotten to it yet. Have you seen that one? Thanks for checking out my channel, much appreciated!
@@psychicvacuum555 I haven't seen it but I will look to see if it is available online. I dig 70s prog but I honestly only know the big names. I would definitely like to know more bands that play that awesome genre'. I love all music, there is not to many genre's I do not like. Music is my favorite thing. I am more of a metal head but one of these days I will open up the book to my collection.
Same here, not sure where I would even be without having music in my life. Camel is definitely a "2nd tier" kind of band within prog rock... it's another one of those styles like most metal subgenres where there is basically an endless supply of good bands once you start digging into the underground side of things. Pretty sure I have you on Instagram, I can send you a few recommendations over there if you want.
Yup. Gotta love the artists who know they won't break into the mainstream and therefore don't try... In other words they do what they want instead of trying to appeal to the masses by watering things down.
With the big presence of keyboards as well as the way they incorporated bits of jazz, classical and other experimental stuff into their music I'd definitely say they had a big influence. As with a lot of genres, it's a blurry line between psych and prog, at least to my ears. I think you can hear the foundation being laid in their stuff, along with bands like The Moody Blues, Procol Harum, Hendrix and The Beatles. Thanks for watching! I need to catch up on some of your stuff. Been watching a lot of movies myself lately too.
Lots of great pick ups. Camel and ELP very good albums. Take Care!
Thanks for watching! First album I've got from each, hoping to get more from both bands soon.
Nice shirt dude, good to see you back ...got some good stuff there bro !!!
Haha thanks!
Great pick ups camel is a great band 😀🐸

@@psychicvacuum555 hell yea. Sounds great. And honestly I'm more of a 2nd Tier guy anyways. I love those type of bands.

Do you think the Doors were influential on prog bands of the 70s? I could see it.
