    Amazing video, really helped me. I do have 3 questions that others also might have:
    1)What's your take on switching from design to research? When, how much, etc
    2)Do you normally develop multiple iterations of all parts or just focus on a few?
    3)When you design and research, do you do 1 part at a time and dump all your wind tunnel hours into that, or you split it over multiple? Essentially does it make sense to develop anything with low to no wind tunnel testing?
    Not sure if you read these, but I'll give it a go. :)

    • @chxviilsx
      @chxviilsx  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey thanks!
      1) So it depends on the situation, if I’m a back marker I drop all current development as soon as research opens and go all in on research, if you’re leading, I split half half, but always use 75-85% of your CFD/WT Time on research, it’s way more effective overall.
      2) I do multiple iterations, because if I use a ton of WT time on a part, that knowledge increases for the next part, so the 1st new version will be solid, the 2nd part after that is super good!
      3) I like splitting it usually, I account for how many parts I could make within the allocation time (usually 4-5) and split it evenly, unless it’s something important I need to change, I usually go completely even! Even a little wind tunnel time still adds more days onto the overall understanding, which adds up on the next designs!

  • @wzeng6043
    @wzeng6043 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hey I know it’s been a while since this video but I just wanted to say that this guide really helped me a ton as a first time player to this f1 manager game. As I was able to go from p9 in the constructors to p5 in season 2!
    But as the 2026 season regulations completely change, I see a potential to challenge as a frontrunner with big developments prior to that season. So the one big question I have is that do you still research the same aspects for each part with the sliders just as if you’re designing a new part? Or do you focus on other aspects of each part different to when designing new parts? Thanks a lot for the guide and I would really love more tips and tricks from you 👍

    • @chxviilsx
      @chxviilsx  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I appreciate you and I’m so glad it’s helped this much!
      I focus on mine a little differently with research, when researching you don’t lose any knowledge of the part unless you simply don’t do any research projects. I normally put emphasis on the parts effected first, then as a secondary put a ton of emphasis on the important metrics of that part.
      For example, if the changes are an aero balance change for the side pods, even though I only upgrade cooling 95% of the time normally, in this instance I’d max out aero research and then put casual research or maybe put 30-60% on the slider for cooling research! Stuff like that basically!

  • @user-ql7ov8lp9t
    @user-ql7ov8lp9t หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Good video!Before unlock of research maybe there are only two or three ATR to design new part. What are the best parts to use all cfd and windtunnel time?And what about detail of reseach?Should I focus on one single part? Which part?

    • @chxviilsx
      @chxviilsx  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@user-ql7ov8lp9t Great question! I recommend using the car analysis tool, see where your car is the weakest against your competitors, do the same for Research except prioritize the area where regs are impacting your part!
      If you are using my team and the car sucks all together, shove a lot into Side-pods and Suspension to bump your engine and brake cooling (tyre pres) then either chassis or underfloor and max Aero cornering out to improve competitive speed through corners!

      @@chxviilsx Well I used to try designing a super straight line speed car so I tried anything to improve top speed and acceleration but I found DRS is so powerful that everyone can catch up (I want SF90 LOL). And before I watch this video I only choose balanced separate cfd and windtunnel time on each parts and it actually playable. But your video give me a brand new idea! One more question. should I totally give up dirty air tolerance and focus on the rest improvement?

    • @chxviilsx
      @chxviilsx  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on your situation, if you’re a back market struggling, do nothing but research.
      You should focus on the parts that have been affected by the regulation changes. But also do a few research projects on non affected parts just to create a ton of knowledge to run with for the next season.
      I split my CFD / WT time, some parts take longer, I normally divide it by 4/6 and then anticipate doing that many projects during the time frame.

    How can I improve acceleration?

    • @chxviilsx
      @chxviilsx  22 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Typically your Engine will be key for that, Speed and Acceleration are 95% impacted by Engine and the different providers. However some parts that impact drag / top speed can increase acceleration if you tune it that way

  • @user-hx9ym5ew3t
    @user-hx9ym5ew3t หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Is it worth to research multiple times an one part of the car? For example, you covered regulation reduction and keep research the same part of the car.

    • @chxviilsx
      @chxviilsx  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes absolutely, usually you can fit 2-4 normal upgrades on a part before regs open.
      Once research opens I highly recommend repeating parts. The more research you do, and higher understanding you build through that will transfer to your base part and base knowledge for the next season 👍🏻

  • @Kuziph

      @chxviilsx  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Kuziph I appreciate you! I do manufacture the first iterations with maybe 2-4 parts just to be used in the meantime and have a spare or two.
