It's going just fine for me, no joke. As a 98% introvert, it's really no different than any normal year for me, sure I can't really visit my friends and family, but it's not like I'm not having any contact with them over the internet. My anxiety is on an all time low and I can spend more time with my animals than ever before! Not to mention all the gaming and art I'll have time to get around too.
So far 2020 is honestly kinda great.

The bedding, for the hamster, doesn't have to be taken all out. Most people will recommend, including me, that you only take out the soiled part. Most hamsters will only go to the bathroom in one corner of their cage. So the rest of the bedding is actually really clean!
Only taking out the soiled bedding and leavening the rest is called spot cleaning and it needs to be done every day. While a full clean like Tyler did needs to be done once a month. This is the best and most recommended way to keep a hamster happy and it's cage clean. Although this is only recommended for a proper sized hamster cage ( Above 450 square inches of floor space and no combining two cages to reach that number does not work.) Smaller cages will need to be cleaned more frequently adding additional stress than the hamster will already experience being in a small cage. ( You can use a small cage for travel but monitor your hamster for stress signs and try to get him/her in a proper set up as quickly as possible.)

It's a situation like this that makes me thankful for my pets❤
I'm right here with yah, bro! Just fed my baby Pueblan (named Pinball) this morning. Spending time with all my pets. 2 cats, 2 beardies, 2 fish, 4 snails, and 1 little noodle. Big happy family! We definitely need to remember to make sure we have enough food and amenities for our animal companions too.

Djungarian dwarf hamsters get white winter coat. They turn grey again if they get their summer coat. It's a season thing, not age dependant.

Do you usually change out the full bedding, I recommend changing half the bedding, I love how it’s a video about staying inside and the first thing you do is go outside 😂
The silver lining of this virus is how many happy pets there are for their owners to be home with them 💕 I know my pets (cashew the golden retriever, rhubarb the cat and ramen the danger noodle) are so happy 😊

Aside from the anxiety of keeping my fur babies fed and healthy during this social distance/quarantine situation, they have made this situation tolerable. They are a joy to be around and now there is an excusdd to never leave them.

I'm from somewhere in Europe and we have a lot of back and forth with Italy (the country that has it the worst), so i'm in my third week of staying indoors as much as possible (i went out under 6hrs/week and i'm an all outdoor person) - i explained myself so you know how much my sanity needs this haha

have you had any issues with lice from keeping your bedding in the basement? when i first got pet rats i dealt with a lice issue ...not sure where it came from but after doing some research (even straight from the pet store..the bedding or food can have lice from the warehouse it came from or if you bedding/food is stored somewhere that wild rats can get to it) i suspect the bedding and now i always freeze my bedding/food etc for at least like 3 days before it comes into contact with my pets. just wondering if you've had any issues with anything like that. it was alot of trouble and stress getting rid of the lice and for me it's just worth it to plan ahead and freeze the bedding for a few days before using rather than dealing with a lice infestation.

You're only under- reacting to covid 19 if you're out at bars, traveling or going into crowded areas and not listening to WHO & the CDC. Social distancing by staying home with your pets is perfect :). Lol, yeah 2020 year of the plague. Not sure why everyone bought tons of toilet paper, guess they were scared shitless..? 😂 You may need to prepare for months of quarantine life, so maybe check to see that you have enough pet stuff and groceries for you and Maddie. Hope you guys stay healthy and happy! Btw Mochi is a gem 🥰
