    wonderful video on a subject which makes me want to cry. what hurts is the damage to the reputation of the club for the recruitment of future players (not ronaldinho either). Never have a felt so vehemently about a man i have never met.

    I don't support Rovers, but what the FA has allowed to happen at this club is criminal. BR fans have been amazing throughout. Hope things don't get worse, and you're back soon.

    @comehereformusic The most sensible comment I've ever heard from an Arsenal fan.... You obviously are a football fan not blinded by the media and other predudices. Very refreshing to hear, thank you.

    Arsenal fan here. Very interesting and well-made video, I guess most football fans that don't follow Blackburn as closely as their own supporters (i.e. myself) really know what's going on at the club. Suffice to say that Kean and Venky's are a disgrace and I'm amazed at the things that have been going on at your club. Even though the video was made over 5 months ago you could see that relegation was inevitable. What must poor Jack Walker think looking down at his beloved club.

    Excellent video, very well put together. I actually feel a little sorry for Kean as he is clearly out of his depth managing a premier league team. The owners clearly know absolutely nothing about running a football club, and I feel sorry for the Blackburn fans too.

    @StuartGT Thanks for the feedback - I finished the video on Wednesday evening during the Newcastle match, started uploading it Thursday and it took well over 24 hours to go up, so leaving out the Newcastle & Norwich games was not an intentional decision.
    I was at the game yesterday and agree that we played well, the performances have improved a lot recently but unfortunately points win prizes, not performances.The unlucky draw yesterday takes Kean's total win% below 20% - or 28 points from 93.

    Arsenal fan here (yes i know 4-3) but i just have to feel sorry for Blackburn.. what has happened here is a reflection of the pathologies of modern football and its commercialisation. The outsourcing/division of processes associated with running a club (ownership/finance, managing, playing etc) has created opportunities for unscrupulous individuals to take what they want from the club, its history and its symbolic value, and the result is absolute paralysis..

    Blackburn is a great away day, even despite the fernhurst going. I'll miss them to an extent. Fans should really get behind the team on the pitch though and then keep the protests to outside the ground. I think it's 99% Venky's fault, Kean may not be great but he tried hard with the shit he was given to work with.

    Venkys is what unfortunately happened. I cannot see our club moving forward again until Venkys get out of Blackburn Rovers.
    Poor Jack Walkers legacy has been trashed by Venkys, they need to sell up to someone who truly cares.

    I was a season ticket holder until the Venkys took over. Then they doubled the ticket price for disabled people who were allocated a carer's ticket. When they got rid of Sam I thought it was bad idea even though his record wasn't great. However it was obvious he was team building and things were starting to look ok. When he was sacked I knew they were going to gut the club to get their money back asap. I've not been to a game since. Won't even watch them. It pretty much put me off supporting any team.

    Very upsetting to watch as a Rovers fan. Really does show just how extreme our demise has been over such a short space of time, how evident it is that thing's aren't right on all levels and that Kean needs to go, right now. I fear the worst :/
    Great job making the video though!

    owners are content with their raised profile, agents content with their financial gain, Kean content with his job yet with no managerial ability, players putting effort in but getting nothing out... An equilibrium has been formed amongst all parties associated with the club either through satisfaction with the status quo, or inability to change it. If you guys get relegated hopefully a rebuilding process can start.

    @the2k Agree - no way that losing a run of several games can be put down to luck. One or two maybe; but I personally believe that Blackburn have the quality squad wise to at least mount a challenge to stay. It's mismanagement from the top down that's costing Blackburn. Even the likes of newly promoted QPR (who intelligently signed a number of good, experienced and established EPL players) and Norwich (who have an excellent young manager and a team playing for the jersey) are a better bet.

    Rovers fans are a disgrace, abusing their manager every game. No wonder the team's struggling if they have to play in front of those fans. It's not Kean or Venkys fault, its the Rovers fans who are destroying the team!

    Right so you actually agree with us on a lot of things? I suppose thats what was so frustrating to our fans about the backlash from the rest of the country last season. All these people calling us scum and defending Kean, and if they just sat down and thought about it, like you they'd find they mostly agreed!
    The only way we're coming out of the Championship is into League 1. Awful manager who can't be sacked + owners out to make money = we're fucked.

    @flyingjibberish You make it sound so easy. We (mere fans) shouldn't have LET them buy the club? We don't have the media-influence that bigger clubs' fans do, for a start. And it was up to the Walkers' not us. I blame the Walker Trust as much as I blame Venkys tbh.

  • @forumics
    @forumics 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    no money? they've sold samba and jones for over 20m. rovers have never been a club that needed a budget anywhere near 20m.
    kean trapped? you talk like as if he doesn't have the option of resigning. i've never heard of a manager who couldn't resign but i also don't know of a club where the owners will not sack a manager who very obviously couldn't perform.
    blackburn have always been easily a mid table club without effort. what small team are you talking about?

  • @blueandwhite01
    @blueandwhite01 12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    And you're blaming the fans because we didn't? Its a total myth that "good support" matters. Results depend on tactics, players, motivation from the manager, and sometimes referees. Those are the reasons Rovers ended up with the shite 31 points that we did. You obviously aren't aware that Kean of all people praised our support on numerous occasions, didn't make any difference. And when the game was up against Wigan, the dispicable vermin who've ruined our club got exactly what they deserved.

    "Fit and proper" owners? You decide how they managed to pass the Premier League regulation.

    • @flyingjibberish
      @flyingjibberish 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They passed because they're legit business owners in India.
      The fact they're useless at running a football club has no relevance to a fit and proper persons test.
      They did get money for Phil Jones, so maybe they're not completely useless.

    Lol, lets just abuse Blackburn rovers fans. Their new manager lasted 57 days. All those Kean haters have crawled back under their rocks, hopefully for a long time. Their abuse of Kean was disgusting. Mark Hughes to come in and ruin them still more.

  • @MetalHeadSix6Six
    @MetalHeadSix6Six 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    Celtic fan...nice video. Been watching the relegation battle this season and it's clear Steve Kean needs to be removed. Results have been shocking, the fans have no faith in him and how he thinks he can turn things round I don't know. Steve Bruce got a decent opportunity but their board knew when to pull the plug. A manager's position is totally untenable when fans protest for weeks nevermind months at a time..how Kean is still in a job is beyond me and the Blackburn board need to sack him ASAP

    @sec0ndevolution protesting does no good. The venkys have absolute power, if you don't like it you shouldn't have let them buy your club. To them the fans are nothing more than taxpayers that generate money for the Venkys, so they're not going to listen to your protests. You're better off laying down your arms and supporting the regeime. If you can't beat them, join them!

  • @johnalcuk

    Every club buys the league title, they avoid relegation by buying, how do you think any club survives? they buy. Even you should be able to work that out. maybe not. Perhaps your lot should consider buying, or better still don't and see where you end up. At least we will have real competition,not like the two team Scots league.

    I know we're a small club, anyone with half a brain knows that. We were protesting because a previously small club excellently run and managed and regularly finishing in the top half, had become a small club being relegated and bankrupted. The only people who wouldn't protest at that are people who don't care and the only people who would stop are cowards. Our support isn't like that, to their tremendous credit, you obviously are.
