Hey whoteewho I am starting a channel currently doing firearms reviews and hunting content with said firearms. Do you have any recommendations or tips on how to make/improve content also what do you film on and what mounts do you use to hold your cameras. I’m a huge fan of your channel and I would really appreciate any knowledge you have. Also how do you get sponsorships and what would you say is the minimum subscriber/views that you had to get before gaining recognition from shootsteel or clearballistics.

Yea. Your probably right. I was thinking the firing pin was a lil short. Sometimes they polish the crap out of them when doing a custom rifle and polished too much. I’m sure WTW will get it banging that ammo
Trigger that light i'm willing to bet it has a reduced power striker spring in it. If you put a standard spring in there it should fire it off, with the tradeoff being a bit heavier trigger pull. Take the bolt apart and put another spring in there and see if that works. Springs are cheap.

Hey WTW. What I really love about your videos is that you call it and film is as it is. I really appreciate that honesty. As always thanks for sharing!
Everybody in your neck of the woods must really love you they give you all this equipment to use and believe me it's not cheap to try out some different bullets and things I'm sorry that they didn't work but keep it up. Through all my life I've had a lot of friends lots of them and very few were like you you are a real gem A real good friend. Keep trying.
😂 Yeah people keep blaming it on Remington, I have around 1k bullets through my 700 and on everything I love I’ve never had one light strike or any kind of malfunction for that matter. Has always went bang when I’ve pulled the trigger. Sorry to see this happen WTW, but I believe it was the person that put the gun together.
Or slightly longer headspace allowing round slightly escape full firing pin protrude but it was still under extractor albeit extractor might had just enough slop for that.
Take the spring and firing pin from your 223 model 700 bolt and put them in that bolt and see if it will set those rounds off. Either the spring was lightened or there was something stopping the travel of the pin. If it works, try the removed pin in the 223 and see if you have any problems shooting 223.
Yeah that's my guess. Getting close to a hair trigger on that rifle and I'm sure they are using military primers which require a bit more force to touch off
Received the 10/45 shirt today!!!!! Love the end song. I had some 9mm reloaded rounds that I bought at a gun show several years ago. I tried them in my new Arex Delta 2 and many did not fire. Light primer strikes. They did fire in my other guns.
Damn that sucks. That’s the one I was waiting for too. Looks like the pin just isn’t long enough to set them off. Looked like a light strike. But why not the second and third time. Gata be too short. You’ll get her figured out.

I've had this problem with tula ammo in 9mm with a ruger sr9c, also in a highpoint 9 mil. Someone told me they have really hard primers because tula was made for the military
That particular rifle just don't like those plastic cased cartridges. I would have Paul check it, and if he finds it in tolerance, I would use those cartridges in a different rifle, and stick to brass in that one.

As with blue plastic ammo I wonder if the case head is slightly out of spec I know that the blue plastic training ammo is not 100 percent to Sammi specs for the bolt faces which causes a lot of light primers strikes. I watched a video on it not sure if it was iv8888 or someone else but they explained it. Small chance it’s the issue here but I’m willing to bet it’s the striker spring with a trigger that light. I’d start there or mention that to whoever you take it to
I've had this happen in several rifles where I have a 2.5lb to 3lb trigger. It can be really frustrating. I love the ultra light trigger pull but hate the lite primer strike. It works fine on some ammo and others is does not. All depends on the primer used.
Nothing to do with the light primer strikes, but if you are testing for accuracy, it's not a good idea to get the rifle really hot, or leave ammo sit out in the blazing sun before using it, or especially both.🤷♂️
Suggestion, compare the primer strikes on the bullet that fired in the Ruger compared to the failed attempts on the 700. See if there is a difference in depth, if any. Also, compare the first test sight in bullets on the 700. You may have to disassemble the 700 bolt and clean or install a strong firing pin spring. Good luck and tell us how you solved the problem.
Strange. Would love to see how that rifle shoots. I really love the new chassis systems out there. I have a Savage action in an MDT chassis and it is a tack driver. And don't make the mistake of thinking this ammo is $10 per round....that was a special box, etc, which I own 2 of by the way. The 20rd boxes of ammo are priced right in line with any custom high grade ammo out there. I reload brass ammo "everyday" and still support these guys on this venture....and lastly "all" plastics are polymers, but not all polymers are plastics...stop calling this ammo plastic.
@@ihunt_ do you work for them or something?,so far this ammo hasn't impressed the majority of viewers. We have all seen what WTW can do at 100 with his cz 7 62 x39 so there is nothing wrong behind the gun.
What a rifle what a shame, that could have been a buck of a lifetime. Love your true videos not to sure on those new Winchester shells. Keep up on being straight forward on your testing and videos. God willing.
WHO_TEE_WHO this range session has been reminiscent of the last couple I've had. Had to replace firing pin assembly in the little Savage 308. Scope base came loose, (second time this happened). Removed, bedded and loctite. Next session I find after removing Savage stock, I should've did a refresher on assembly sequence. I did check torque on screws. Went from under .5 moa to 1.5 moa at 100 yards!😳🥺 Not to mention 15 rounds to figure it out. So Savage guy's, if you are running a factory stock. There is a sequence to follow replacing stock. My memory isn't the greatest so I will remedy this by bedding the stock myself,(winter job).
@Cecil Pearson Studios My opinion is the polymer got hot in the sun and softened enough the firing pin strike was absorbed by the polymer. Would you trust polymer case after being fired then reloaded? I sure wouldn't as temperature change will change integrity of polymer case. In my opinion these were made to sell the military for dome politicians and buddies to make a fortune at taxpayers expense. Nobler custom competition is a good target bullet but also their cheapest. That tells me a lot about quality
@Cecil Pearson Studios Then why resize brass when you reload? As told WTW the first test keep the fancy packaging and 1 round for an investment. Headspace is extremely critical. I didn't notice if the rifle was chambered 308 or 7.62 NATO which could be enough for the problem
@Cecil Pearson Studios Not if it don't go bang better to carry extra weight of a case that is dependable. Would like to see actual weight difference as a brass case isn't that heavy. Before you reload look at how the plastic is inside the brass of shotgun shell while the plastic is over the aluminum making case separate easier. Like I said I see this as away for politicians and friends to steal more taxpayers money selling to the military which as far as I know hasn't happened

I could piss over anything this has done so far with mid range ammo and with hand loads (which I am not particularly experienced at).
We have all seen what WTW can do at 100 with his cz 7 62 x39 so there is nothing wrong behind the gun.
Nice lookn rig i love the 700 action.
What a rifle what a shame, that could have been a buck of a lifetime. Love your true videos not to sure on those new Winchester shells. Keep up on being straight forward on your testing and videos. God willing.
Thanks for watching Carl
Mcree makes some great equipment. They are originally from North Idaho.
Went from under .5 moa to 1.5 moa at 100 yards!😳🥺
Not to mention 15 rounds to figure it out.
So Savage guy's, if you are running a factory stock. There is a sequence to follow replacing stock. My memory isn't the greatest so I will remedy this by bedding the stock myself,(winter job).
Can those composite shells be re loaded ??
No
@Cecil Pearson Studios My opinion is the polymer got hot in the sun and softened enough the firing pin strike was absorbed by the polymer.
@Cecil Pearson Studios Check the psi on shotgun shells compared to psi 308 load before attempting
Hi WTW and friends from Seattle. That sucks that the 700 did not go off.
Hey Ricky
Will you be testing these rounds in gas guns?
Already did
@@WHOTEEWHO I knew that.
That’s a bummer weather it’s the rifle or ammunition cause they are supposed to be the good stuff.
Lol I'm not sold on it but rock on buddy someone has to do the dirty work
