Tata steel 2024: one of the best tournaments ever.. Hats off to all the players playing to bring up their A game with so many decisive games.. Awesome ❤
Doesnt this channel make videos on alireza and keep praising him, no matter if he wins or loses? If alireza won its brilliancy, and if he lost, he had a great attack and opponent was boring.
So glad I found your channel, you are a wonderful commentator. Watching you is the first time I've ever genuinely felt I understood what 's going on in a game of chess. Thanks for all the hard work.
I thought the title of this video was "Girl sacrifices EVERYTHING..." when I first glanced at my TH-cam homepage, something I was quite surprised be. Giri makes a lot more sense (obviously). Great game that demonstrates a lesson I learned long ago: you can make things truly nasty for your opponent when you push your pawns to the 6th and 7th rank. It's almost impossible to lose in those situations, so long as you can stop your opponent from capturing those pawns.
Great game great attack at the end double Brilliancy says it all the rook sacrifice was something else great tactic fun to see thanks for the Game Gukesh doing well but tie breaks will be hard enjoy your day James
60 memorable draws to lull his opponents into a false sense of security, and then WHAM!
Old joke...
The boring players created an exciting chess tournament. The only exciting player in the tournament as per this channel came 5th. LOL.
Haha

I know what happened. Anish had a memory lapse. For one second he forgot what chess is about and, sort of inadvertently, won
"Anish Giri - My 10 Memorable Wins"
😂
WoW - looks like Pragg has taken Giri's Draw mantlet and ran with it 😮
The power of a well placed pawn is amazing.
Giri is a monster at Tata, always. He maws his lawn, clips the hedge, puts on a suit, heads for Wijk aan Zee, and brutalizes everyone.
Hahaha yep good comment
Giri woke up and chose violence
Anish playing the type of game we all wish we were playing. Attacking with briliancy with the opponent squeezed for time.
Yeah so cool to see him playing in this style, he's got it in him he's shown!

Thanks a lot glad you enjoyed! Cheers for watching really appreciate the feedback
These top GMs like Giri can play any style brilliantly, give him a chance to sac and break through to your king and he will. Thanks James.
Every blue moon, Giri, the gentle positional, often drawish, chess player becomes an Alekhine-Tal on nitro! 😮
Beautiful game by Giri 👋
Great analysis as always!
Thanks a lot glad you enjoyed! Cheers for watching
I find it interesting that most of the adult grandmasters look like kids
The pawn g6 and rook d7 combo was insane.
Giri and sacrifice in one sentence? 😮
fantastic dissection of the game
Thanks a lot glad you enjoyed! Cheers for watching
Those sacrifices were easy to spot maybe I'm watching to many Tal games 😂😂
So nice to see "Drawnish" finally coming of age... Simply beautiful... 😢
Always love anish games. And I think he's a really cool guy also
Giri played like a man with his pants on fire!
"... and behold, Anish was spoken to from a voice from the heavens, "No more draws, my Son." And Anish obeyed & began to sacrifice it all for a Win!"
😆
The live commentary didn't explain how the last moves made sense, they seemed so out-there.
Thanks for the explanation, insane moves and a fun video.
No worries Thanks a lot glad you enjoyed! Cheers for watching
This was really next-level
WAR-MER-DAM

Yeah haha not every day you see him doing this and yeah those pawns are easily worth a piece and more as the game showed!
Epic chess by Giri. Probably the best game for this month.
Really enjoyed this year's Tata steel tournament. Awesome games left and right ;)
Same here!
Giri, the draw master. He tried to sac everything to get a draw, but ended up winning 😂
James, delighted to see Magnus announcing new format, love our champion, keeps us going.

Poor Max, amazing player, but everyone played masterpieces against him this tournament
Giri got blown out by Gukesh in the tie breaker.

It is hard to follow how about show the game without moves they should of done if you are good enter a tournament
Clearly they had mistakes on both sides with the eval bar jumping around. I'm not impressed.
hey mister epic James, not only 'pause the video', it would be lovely if u sometimes pause your unstoppable talking avalanche..take a breath man!
Haha fair thanks for the feedback
So Giri had a terrible position until his opponent missed the obvious ....Bg4 and then everything fell into place for him.
It's not that good lmao.
