I was the first ever one to do the Al Qabila FC thing. Soheil even told me he wanted me posting stuff. I’ve known Soheil for quite a while. And I was the favourite to go on trial at Al Qabila. It got to the point where Soheil, the CFO of the club, and big agents in the UAE were talking with me to get the trial done. But in the end, Soheil, the royal family, and the club just said they didn’t want me anymore after posting everything about my journey. So basically, after all of that, after Soheil HIMSELF incentivized me to post, I got rejected. And my trial also would have been on my own dime. So long story short, it didn’t work out. It broke my heart, especially because going to the Middle East was a dream of mine. Soheil is a busy guy and a good guy, but tbh he doesn’t pull the strings there. It’s the UAE royal family. And they’ve got their guys already. That’s the simple truth. I’m proud of you Brady for trying, but trust me, this is the best thing to have happened. I have a buddy who trialled for Al Qabila and long story short, he got done VERY dirty.
You might need to invest on a agency, it’s good doing your own networking but you have noticed no one it’s really giving you the opportunity if you really want to continue you need to see all your possible options. This is how most players get sign by D1 schools
Look for something in Europe 2nd or 3rd division even if the quality isnt that good use it as an entry point and make your way up they are alot of scouts in europe you just need 1 or 2 good seasons to make ur way to the higher division. Start planning for june, july and august try get some teams in can trail at or join for pre season
Honestly no hate to soheil but I believe he could have given you a solid chance if he wanted to he was on your same journey as well and knows how hard and trying this journey is and could have at least tried to help you with half or more for a trial
I understand bro maybe save up or start a gofundme? im sure lots of people will support you with this and if anything it'll motivate you even more to preform.
Smart move. You can't spend money wildly on trials. If they really wanted you in, they'd cover at least some part of the cost. Maybe you save up enough money for a July trial but have the club agree the trial lasts maybe a week at most so you can plan for your cost of living there...then maybe if there is genuine interest and they want to see more of you they pay for your time there after that.
To be honest, I think it really depends on what you're truly doing it for. I don't know what wages with al qabila would be like but maybe you would get paid more since you're in the UAE but I don't really know. However, if it's based fully on where it's best for you soccer wise, I really really don't advise it. I genuinely think that a solid USL2/very good NPSL team would do pretty well in the same division that al qabila plays in and to be honest it's not a respected league or country for soccer at all. To me, since you played in NISA and maybe can again I actually think it would be a step down in terms of quality. And if you can't sign for a NISA club I'd honestly recommend finding a very good UPSL team in your area and playing for them, just my opinion. Also my opinion about what you said about Soheil is that it seems like it's a bit more about money and attention for him. I'm not saying he doesn't care about the team's quality and well being but it's odd that he seemed to only hit you up after you said you made your last video about al qabila. I just think you can play a higher level than that and financially it doesn't seem like the greatest decision either assuming cost of living in UAE is high. Not trying to hate on him but at a certain point for someone like him in his mid 20's you understand you're prob not gonna make a living just off footy so you lean into other ways of income and I do think this is more of a business move than a true real attempt to bring the absolute best available they can get to play for them. Would also recommend watching this video cause it's about a guy and his experience with soheil and al qabila. th-cam.com/video/Wm7nM-BJJU0/w-d-xo.html
