I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

In the ‘60’s, I wasn’t a fan of either team but watched because the rivalry was so intense and the games so good. That and Nebraska and Oklahoma.
In the 60's and 70's those two matchups were always on contention for game of the year. In two occasions they were #1 vs #2 (1969 and 1971)

They got completely shutout. Arkansas is good, but there is just too much of a gap between like the top couple of teams and the rest of the conference.
Love to see Arkansas success as a Georgia fan who has family in Arkansas. They were physical as hell this game, and that's what'll get them wins.

I’ve been a Longhorn fan for about 15 years, and not previously experienced this rivalry. Hoped we’d put in a better performance but hats off to Arkansas, they played a solid game and played us off the park. There’s plenty of work needed to get us where we want to be but looking forward to this match up each season when we get to the SEC

Yep, we heard it when Charlie Strong's team beat OU and I think Herman said crap along those lines at the start of each season. At least now the Texas Cows (gonna have to earn back the Longhorns name) have a coach that knows what he's doing. Sarkisian understands UT is not competitive in the SEC, but having been with Saban at 'Bama he also knows how to get them there.

We know Odom's defense is good, but let's give the Kendal Briles offense some credit in his 2nd year of building a scheme.

Not trying to jinx anything here, but I think this is the best Razorback football team I've seen since Joe Adams was there. I've seen some heartbreaking losses from y'all over the last few years (over teams that other squads would have put up 40+ points against), but I think this is the start of a resurgence from this Razorback squad. God I miss the McFadden days. I remember being around 14-15 at the time and just watching in pure ecstasy as we would kick everyone’s asses… I have a good feeling those days are coming back.

Texas never planned tp join the sec, it was all a ploy to get oklahoma out so they can keep the Facade of being good, gping 9-3 and einning the little 10 every year is better for them.

Arkansan here. Any day a texas team losses is a good day. Texas was expecting to win, when Arkansas wanted it more and showed it. This rivalry started when both teams were in the same conference many moons ago. Texas was just not prepared. So pleased how Pittman is moving this team. Whooo pig.🐗🐗Welcome to the SEC!!!!

As a hog fan, very proud of the way they played and were able to beat what I believe will still be a very good Texas team. Don't let anyone tell you that Texas isn't any good, Sam Pitman is just establishing an up and coming powerhouse in college football, they are strong and tough and smart and fight like Razorbacks!

This beat down should have been SO much worse. Missed several TD opportunities that were only field goals. Upset with leaving a pile of points on the field, but satisfied with the W!
Right. They really truly earned one touchdown towards the end against our backups. The first one was a gift from KJ with the interception and the second one we had them stopped on 3rd and long but screwed that up with the late hit on the QB that gave them 15 yards and an automatic 1st down. This was ugly but could have been really really ugly
I’m a Texas fan and I can say that our defense was dog shit that day but congrats from a depressed Texas fan that has to wait another year to see if Texas has a chance of a big bowl game
Props to Arkansas but if Thompson was starting I feel like it would've been a lot closer. Still don't think we would've won with how garbage the defense is.
@Landon Lee The game MIGHT have been closer with Thompson, but Arkansas wanted this more. Texas stunk on every side of the ball tonight - QB, O-line, D-line, LB's, Secondary and even kicker.
Not like Thompson threw the ball much better

By the time he entered the game Arkansas was playing prevent to stop the deep pass. He would have gotten smoked as well.
