Look at real championship team like Alabama, and how they're handling Miami in week one. OU can't tackle... it is not like it's a scheme issue, they just can't tackle...

The defence is exactly what I expected,I wasn’t falling for the “getting better” speeches. Alex Grinch is NOT a good coach and the only reason the defence hasn’t completely embarrassed themselves is because there’s good athletes on defence. Most great plays on defence is because the other team screwed up, and anyone that knows football should know that the defence has A LOT of work to do!!!!!

Overrated coaches and players
They don’t recruit defenders like that. They may get a linemen here and there and a linebacker but their last line of defense (secondary) has sucked since Roy Williams played lol. That’s why they give up huge plays every other play

Look at it this way... Pratt got knocked down 50 times. Defense put alot pressure. Forced 3 turnovers. If ALL other QBs are as tough as him, then I will also be concerned for OU. That QB is a true warrior, give him some credit

The problem is, these P5 teams need to start taking G5 teams more serious... Tulane is part the AAC, which is nicknamed the Power 6 conference for a reason... That conference has built a reputation for upsetting superior opponents.
They not going to drop that far because they still won. At most they will probably fall behind the winner of UGA and Clemson and Ohio State and go to #4 but not down to #15

What the Hell ever happened to the vaunted OU defense? I remember back on the early 2000s all the analysts would talk about the great zone blitz scheme of OU and OU would give up like 6 points a game. At some point...that all just totally unraveled. Around the Sam Bradford Era I think it was. Now they're just the upper middle class man's Texas Tech of the Mike Leach era. Lol.

Tulane had a solid game, definitely a sleeper. I honestly don't think they were playing above what they are capable of, they showed some solid signs of a decent team. I wish them luck this year. Glad OU came out with the W but as an OU fan season openers are always sus lol.... Oregon and Houston to name a few.

They get the same in state recruits as LSU just more go to LSU for obvious reasons but Tulane still gets a handful of 3 and 4 star recruits . their issues have been mostly coaching disasters the last 10 years

I will never forget what Pratt and Tulane did in this game. If only this highlight showed Pratt getting hit you would be amazed he was still standing. The dude lost his helmet like three times from getting rocked. Pratt lost his helmet and got hit in the head.
