    Just a heads up you Bloody Legends. Gary Cantrell just told me about the ability to see the mask on the sharpening. With Lightroom Mobile you can hold one finger on the screen to see the mask changes. Also works with white point, black point, etc. Thanks Gary, youre a bloody legend!

    Thanks Shayne! You are the legend! I just love your videos, have seen them all 👍🏻 Got the filters now and got the nice photos as a bonus. Great to compare with my own and get inspiration. Just hope for better weather here in Sweden so I’ll have a chance to take astrophotos. Get us clear sky when it is new moon in January so I can shoot with my iPhone 12 Pro Max 🙏🏻

    Darkroom is also a pretty fantastic app to edit on your phone. You can control and change individual colours.

    Hello. I have a problem when using expert raw app and using asteroid mode. I cannot upload the raw file to Lightroom or Snapseed. What does it come from?

    Hey legend :) you can - on the mobile - hold another finger on the slider part of the screen, then you will see the black mask like on the computer (works for masking/sharpening, whites and blacks) great video btw

    Great tutorial and image is stunning...how long was the exposure on the 5DM3 compared to say the 30sec on iPhone? 👍

      @ShayneMostyn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gday Ben, from memory that one was 30-35 seconds I think. The metadata on the raw image should tell you. It’s a few years old that one.

    Did u ever used a moment lens or so for Astro photography?

    • @ShayneMostyn
      @ShayneMostyn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No not yet mate. I am considering that type of video now that the Pixels only shoot astro on the one lens now.

    When I take night photos with my gopro 9, there is quite a lot of green in the sky that is noticeable when you bring the brightness up in post. Any ideas? Im not sure that using a different white balance would help because its more blues and yellows. Thanks

    • @ShayneMostyn
      @ShayneMostyn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have found that occasionally as well. It can be fixed in the white balance tint in the edit.

    The galactic core won’t be visible till mid January where I’m at. My 12 pro max is gonna hate me!

      Im really looking forward to shooting the galactic core with the 12PM. Apple needs to be more mindful of the galactic core season when it releases these models HAHA It seems like a long wait from 12PM and ProRAw until the season starts again!

    Hey Shayne, thanks for cool video. I looked into your LR presets and purchased astro pack, but I got 5 dng files instead of usual preset files and I am not sure what I am doing wrong, because I can't import them into Lightroom - it says "No presets or profiles found". Kind of make sense, as usually preset files are xmp extension. Was not able to find how to contact you on website, so thought you could help me to sort this out here. J

    • @ShayneMostyn
      @ShayneMostyn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gday mate, thanks for the support. These are mobile presets. Mobile presets are RAW (DNG) files with the edits done. Open lightroom mobile, then add them just like any other photo, then got to "create preset" and give it a name. It will work for you. Let me know if you have any issues.

    • @wza360
      @wza360 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ShayneMostyn Oh yes it make sense now. thanks for help. Actually I would love to have option to import normal preset files as well as DNG. I usually import presets via desktop and it syncs to mobile automatically - it saves a lot of time if desktop Lighroom is available. It was a way longer process to add presets via DNGs. Just a suggestion - could be two folder: DNG and XMP files in them. Also I had profile error on one of them (made a screenshot). let me know how I can pass it to you if you're interested to have a look.

    Pretty good video but you shouldn’t have used a preset to start, forces people to buy your preset because they don’t know how to get there in the first place. Should have done a start to finish edit not a preset and tweak edit.

    • @ShayneMostyn
      @ShayneMostyn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate. Its something I will do in the new Milky Way season as that sort of edit is more manual.
