RECTANGULAR EDGE FEED ANTENNA DESIGN USING HFSS || PART-1

This video demonstrates the design of rectangular edge feed microstrip patch antenna using HFSS too. Antenna is designed at an operating frequency of 5.2GHz with length=17.56 and width=12.56 on a FR-4 substrate.

how did you calculate length and width of lambda/4 transmission line and width and length of edge feed?

length is calculated using the frequency and permitivity of the transmission line. i.e length = lambda/4 and lambda is c/[f*sqrt(permitivity)]

So feed length is 30.
Regarding cut I don't have much idea. I learnt it from a course.
