facts cus it legit shows ali in a coffin with the bullet which went under his eye. Its the first scene in the episode after the marble one and people have made a theory that he is still alive lol.
The card theory had already been disproven. The director himself has stated that his inspiration for the colours came from a ghost handing out coloured toilet paper, where both red and blue result in death.
I'm pretty sure someone explained that it's a red pill, blue pill reference and why the colors were picked for that reason and them why he dyed his red in the end
@@rahimpena4778 Untrue, the old man just wanted to participate to have fun before he died, he has no faith for humanity as shown in the movie, that would be imposible
i love how 90% of these theories already have been proved being wrong or are obvious squid game showed me how we shouldn't get too much into someone cuz at any time they can just disappear from your life, most of these theories are from people that didn't learnt that by now
The theory about gi-hun's daughter stepfather being related to the squid games is very unplausible. As a Korean, we have Korean families move to America because they're rich enough to have luxuries there. The fact that this was in squid game is so Korean viewers understand that it means that the family must be wealthy.
The only person I hope is still alive is the cop, he honestly did a really good job and he was very interesting .. they just shot him in the shoulder so I'm sure that wasn't deadly, the cops probably know how to get away with it too In fact, he didn't seem alarmed when the man pointed the gun ..And I think if he survives along with Gi-hun they could make a team trying to stop the game together..and he is the only one who has proofs, very important thing in my opinion..i just hope he didn't die
rem it’s been a year after the 33rd squid games happened so the fact that that the games are still goin on can either mean he is alive and captured or roaming the island, or dead
he was shot in the shoulder and fell, that would be like saying that Dutch can der Lin lived Red Dead redemption, after falling from the huge height and getting shot in the head
No need to be a bummer, but for one, Say Byeok had her neck stabbed. And also Ali was shown in the first 3 seconds of the very next episode with a bullet hole through his face. And even if Say Byeok’s neck was stabbed and she survived, her being impaled by a shark of glass would certainly do the trick. Not trying to be a bummer just saying it’s highly unlikely.
the glass part there was a 50/50 chance though. Because she was doing the right thing and Gi-hun was putting pressure on it, but I don’t know I was watching the show with my mom yesterday I already watched but watched it with her, my mom is in the medical field so I asked her “could she survive” my mom said. “yes” .
@CharzGA, i understand your point but say-byeok does have the pocket knife that she has been using the whole game, and she could’ve possibly cut through the box?
The fact that the director himself told he’ll go through all the TH-cam videos to write script for the second season. Hope he watches this💯 Omg 1.1k likes😱
I have a theory. I do believe that the detective may be alive as he was shot in the same place as the frontman who survived it and we already saw his skill at swimming. Although he was injured it’s still possible that he swam back to shore as he fell off a cliff near the shore. But the thing is if he did survive he may have met up with Gi Hun who also survived. As they both are against the games in the next series we could see them working together to bring it down. Also this is foreshadowed when he sees Gi Hun at the police station and is the only person who believes him.
I respectfully disagree, and here's why: The difference with the front man's death and the cop is that he got treated IMMEDIATELY and removed the bullet and cleansed his wound because he obviously has had a ton of blood loss whereas the cop was shot on the shoulder then fell off a steep cliff into the ocean. Falling off of a cliff that high (seeing that he was climbing to the top to get away from the soldiers) would result in a "concrete-like" feeling when you hit the water, because he fell backwards, which hurts if you've ever done that in a pool. And as for Gi-Hun, I doubt he was able to meet with the cop because it shows from the very first episode that the soldiers are all in charge of the players, meaning getting them in out of the island without them having the players willingly explore the island for the sake of their game's secret and exposing their location or escaping etc. Going back to the cop thing, let's say he did survive the fall. If he fell from that height with a wound in his shoulder, with detrimental bleeding, he would need to seek for something or someone for help but how? With his cellphone that the frontman said that was useless because there's no signal? And considering he got his phone wet and most likely doesn't work anymore. Or would he swim back on to the island, and temporarily use his shirt to put pressure on his bleeding wound, which could cause death if not removed immediately (the bullet and the bleeding). (This is just my opinion, please don't take it the wrong way. I love theorizing about this show so far, and I'd love to hear your opinion).
@@whatisilyionlyknowipurpleyou yeah but no Cuz it kinda falls flat to the fact many movies and series have done this similar scenes with characters falling of cliff like he did and still survive plus in real life there is still changes to survive that just low. And the creator surely will keep around for popularity sake too cuz he literally killed all the other characters people loved but he still had the biggest chance to be alive. We might as well see that he took the bullet put himself and found a way to treat it by infiltrating himself again. I do have to say I love your theory tho and we can hope and see what will happen
Yes! I believe that too, and I also believe his brother didn’t kill him on purpose. The way his hand was shaking before he shot him, shows how hard it was for him to make that decision. It felt as if despite all the pain he felt, he had to keep face in front of the guards. They would probably report him to the Host if he let his brother go, and it would also mean letting his “weakness” show while he’s supposed to be this heartless, stoic and cold leader.
I think the intention with the red hair isn't to go in as a "guard" but I think he wishes to play the games from the role of "guardian" and wishes to pit the games against itself and the very interests it plays. Simply put, Gi-han playing again from a different perspective with a different motive and goal puts him in opposition of the games more than joining as a guard.
I have another theory, the characters died based on the things they did while they weren't in the game example the Toilet Guy died because he got pushed with the Toilet Girl and when he was not in the game he jumped off a bridge and Sae byeok threatened the shop guy with a knife in his neck and that's how she died and Sangwoo was in a bath tub and tried to commit suicide a d that's how he died he stabbed himself in the last game and Ali stole money and that's how he died because Sangwoo stole his marbles
@@Rocks_GnEds but she have a knife so here is what I think and how it’s possible for her to be alive 1.She have the knife she can use the knife to cut the box and escape 2.someone might save her
As much as I liked Ali, my man is dead. I think the reason why Ali's death wasn't shown was to make Il-nam's identity more surprising. Had Il-nam been the only one with an off screen death, many would suspect something was up. By having 2 mains have an off screen death, it helped concealed the twist they had planned at the end. In the show, you clearly saw that Ali had gun shot wounds exit through the front of his head meaning that it entered and exited his cranium. Though there are people who survive headshots, I don't think this was the case. Especially since he was also shown to be incinerated. The theory in this vid clearly leaves out the detail of the gun wounds and what, was it like some sfx il-nam had Ali wear to break the 4th wall to show the audience or something? Ali is dead. Plus, based on the 2 theories, of saebyeok and Ali, the name announcement contradict each other as Ali's number was called yet for saebyeok's theory, it relies on the fact that her number was not called. That means that, if any one of these are proven to be right, it's either saebyeok or Ali that gets to live, not both. The only character with a real chance of a being alive is the police guy. He was only shot in the shoulder. Nowhere fatal like the heart or the head. Not only that but he fell into water, not solid ground. His body was never shown to be recovered and last but not least, the person who shot him was his older brother. IDK how others saw it but it def seemed to me like his brother shot him to not raise any suspicion and maybe as a way to help him escape. Prior to the mask reveal, the older brother had already found out who the infiltrator was due to the police badge that they retrieved from the circle dude that was killed at the beginning. It wouldn't surprise me if he had somehow planted something on that island that would help the brother escape. Especially since he was aware that his brother was aware of the presence of diving equipments and he probably knew the surrounding islands well enough to know the most probable one to swim to.
I was thinking the director could release an alternate ending if he isn’t going to do a season 2. And if Sae-Byeok is really dead, they should do an alternate ending where she ends up alive. I didn’t like her death and I really hate that she got stabbed by a piece of glass shard in the end. I really want to see more of her.
There will be a Season 2. That's most certainly guaranteed. With the success of the show, practically saving Netflix and all the suggestions and unanswered questions in the last episode like comments made by the VIPs and ultimately Gi Hun not boarding his flight, the salesman recruiting people and Gi Hun's daughter moving to America, are all a recipe for another season. This will get the director and writers juices flowing for more episodes and seasons.
The old man being Gi-hun's father could be right. Also, the salesman being the old man's son could be right either. Card colour theory might also be right. Squid game wasn't just played in Korea, that was being held internationally, this theory could also be right. But, Ali & Sae-byok are dead. We've clearly seen their dead bodies in the coffin. But, one thing we can notice, everyone who died in the game did something very wrong in the past, that's why, they lost. Like, Ali mistakenly injured the hands of his boss,Sae-byok was involved in theft, Sang-woo lied to his mother, the other girl who died killed her own father. But, Gi-hun survived since he didn't commit any crime in the past. This could be one theory!
Il-nam says in the marbles game that soon is his son's birthday, the game takes place sometimes in June, but the Gi-hun birthday is not clear - when he enters PIN code it is 26 April, on the file it is 31 October, anyway not close. Of course he may have more children, but if the creators really intended so - the birthday would be Gi-hun's birthday, not of some other child.
Some of these theories are stronger than others. In particular, the theory that Il-nam is playing the game to find his son is ridiculous. He mentions his son in passing once, but he clearly states that he participated because he's so rich that nothing else can bring him excitement. It could've been a good video with like half of these theories taken out, but the outlandish ones bring the overall quality down.
agreed. there's also the fact that he has enough money in the world to track down his son without even needing the games. The people involved in creating the games already had so much information about each and every single player.
I really liked her. I rooted for her even though i knew the mc was going to win. She's most likely dead. Only way she's alive is if they make a season 2 and want to bring her back just because she's well liked.
@txp marvel are u the director? 😒 we can't predict what happen next, if anyone guess the old man alive, no am I right. Possibility of she being alive is very less but anything can happen. We can't completely say she didn't alive. So the people who love her must hope she alive. Don't be rude.
I believe that Gi hun's decision to try to save a dying man at work instead of rushing to his pregnant wife is a nod to him trying to save squid game contestants instead of taking care of his daughter.
There's no way Sae-Byeok is alive. She was suffering from severe blood loss already and then was stabbed in the neck by sang-woo. Ali can't be alive either as there was hole in his head because of the gun shot
do you remember the scene where they vote to leave? the sign said 100-100, but there are 456 players, meaning that they can't tie because the number would be odd (455) if the old man was the last to vote
Another theory: In episode 2 where all of the participants got out, the death treats that they did outside is the clue of how they're going to die, like for example, Ali stole money from his boss and on episode 6 Ali's marbles got stolen, and Sae-Byeok pulls a knife then puts it on someones throat, and Sae-Byeok death is getting stabbed on the neck with the knife. (I hope all you understand it)
Maybe.....Since Sae didn't actually stabbed the guy previously, maybe that is a foreshadow of how sae didn't actually get stabbed either. This is seen because ali and the thug actually fullfilled their scene but sae never did. If you get what im saying.
@@chohani47 So do you think this means she is not dead? By the way if you have anymore theories or foreshadows please feel free to respond and post. Also another theory that has been going around is that since the announcer didn't confirm that player 067 was eliminated when sang woo had stabbed her.... This could possibly mean that she is still alive since the only other player that has happened to was the old man (ill nam) and he turned out to be alive
@@GamingOnGamma In Relation to chohani, since sae already had a scar on the right side of her neck that must have meant she survived a previous wound to the neck and if she survives she will have another on her left side and a wound on her stomache.
@@GamingOnGamma Also I heard this one also, I know this is far fetched but I stated that one of the red guards could have been her mother that could have saved her.
Sae- Byeok couldn’t possibly still be alive. She had fatal damage to the gut after the glass bridge and then her throat was slit by Sang-woo clearly ending her, after that scene if there was possibility of her survival she was burned in the fire thing, completely taking all chances of her survival away.
Id love it if Ali or Sae-Byeok were still alive but there was so much evidence that they were killed the show makers would have to break the continuity of the story or create some crazy explanation of how the person is still alive that will not make sense. That being said maybe they could be in a new season, for example maybe in season 2 if Seong Gi-Hun goes investigating the games &also learns more about the other contestants they could include flashbacks that show things prior to the game
@chris shes a complicated character, Everyone of them is. For most, her being resourceful can be a plus. like the time she pretended to be knocked out in episode 3.
@chris yeah she did stealing But that doesn't makes her an evil character, you can see, she wasn't a bad character She helped gi hun, in glass game by telling him the right glass while she could have just told him the wrong glass to kill the competition She even saved sang boo from gi hun by saying not to kill him, even when she was dying And sang boo killed her, really i can forgive any character but not sang boo he's was truly evil Even if he realised his mistake till end He have killed, betrayed many characters.
I think we will see more of Ali and Sae-Byeok. Their popularity after the series was released almost surely necessitates their return from a financial perspective if nothing else. I expect this will happen in the form of a prequel. Wouldn't be surprised to see the old man come back to life either as I think that he is Gi-Huns father and they have unfinished business. (The old mans surname is Oh and we see Gi-Huns mothers surname is also Oh on the credit card that her son stole in episode 1 to go to the track).
If a player had chosen a red paper, they would still be a player, when the staff showed videos of players playing the game with the business man and one of them showed a guy in flip flops throwing down a red paper, if the guy did become a staff member then why would they show the video?
i want to see Sae-Byeok again in season 2 but she literally got stabbed in the the neck then burnt inside a coffin. There's no way she is still alive just because they didnt say ,,player 067 eliminated"
@@bellatordei3440 her wounds literally do. She took a big sharp piece of glass to the abdomen and by the time Gi Hun took notice she was already so weak from blood loss that if Sang Woo didnt stab her, she’d have died by the actual Squid Game anyway. She took a knife to the neck by the time Gi Hun got back to her, which based on position likely got an important artery/vein. A stab to the neck and a major abdomen wound is pretty much fatal if not treated within hours. Even without Sang Woo she wouldnt have lasted long. Not to mention we saw her get put into a box and then, y’know, burnt.
so i think this is how she got out first she moved her hand and maybe grabed a key and picked the lock when the guards where not looking and then she got out alive and prob called a boat
From the Camera POV, Ali was clearly shot in the head. Headshots often lead to death. According to an article, headshots have a 42% survival rate. If Ali did survive, they would probably notice and shoot him again hoping to kill him. If Ali remains to play dead, they would put him in a coffin and burn him alive. With no way to escape due to being in a coffin, burning, and if he did escape somehow, guards would kill him. And for Sae-Byeok, she got injured in the stomach, reducing the amount of blood remaining in her body. She has to go to the bathroom in order to cover up the wound, but by that time she has already lost alot of blood, as she cannot go there immeaditly after the game. Then, when Sang woo slit her neck, she suffered with more blood loss and died. Once again, even if she did survive somehow, she would meet the same fate as Ali. Therefore, Both characters are dead. Edit: They say Sae-Byeok's death isnt real because they never announced it. The death announcements only happen in the games. No deaths were announced during lights out, and yet many died.
I know for sure that they only announce the eleminations during games, Sae-Byeok died and 69's death wasn't announced either as they died in the bed room area, same thing for the ones who died in the genocide blackouts, only time in the games where the death wasn't stated was in the red light green light since it was a fast around 100 people dying at the same time.
@@pen_gui Its not really "during games" its just if the guards see them. Like when deok-su killed that one dude for breaking the water and the death was announced BECAUSE they saw it happen. If they didnt see it, they just burn them without announcement.
Sae Byeok's death broke my poor heart into millions of pieces. I cried when it happened. But let's be realistic, there is no way she can be alive. Finding some ridiculous reason to bring her back might make everything worse, and ruin her character. I don't think anyone wants that. Bringing characters back from the dead just because the fans want it just rarely ends well. Just take a look at how Disney brought Palpatine "back to life" in Star Wars. (or, to be more precise, in their parody on SW). At this point it is better to just leave it as it is, and we will always remember this poor girl Sae-Byeok as our favorite character. I just wish she didn't die here. 😢😢😢😢
I think there's a little chance that she survived. Here's how: One of the VIPs wanted her to satisfy their needs and she got medical help But it's better, if they won't bring her back, like you said😔
I don't know about the ddakji color of choice affecting the player's role, but Gi Hun do go back into the game but since he entered using unofficial way which is he didn't play the ddakji game, he entered as the player once again with the same number from season 1.
We clearly saw evidence that they aren't alive: Sae-Byeok being burned and we saw the hole in Ali's head also just saying that characters survive here and there removes the tension and high stakes of the show. For me only the detective being alive makes sense as his side-plot just ending there makes no sense as all of his deeds would have been in vain
The old man lost his wife and son bc he valued money over family. He started the game out of boredom. He felt empty bc the only thing he had in life was money, so he wanted to fill it with a thrill.
Yes, but he didn't create all this just out of boredom. Cz if that's the case, everything would be pointless. Also, in the last scene he asks Gi-hun whether he still trusts people. The old man didn't convey anything in detail.
If you paid close attention, you could see that Ali's dead body gets put into a coffin later in the show, so he can't be alive, and if he was still alive, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't go back to the games after seeing people die, and I see a lot of TH-cam videos of people saying that Sae-Byeok is still alive too, but you can see her dead body get put in a coffin as well, so she can't be alive either.
The shows about capitalism: the numbers 001 and 456 are a reference to that. 001 being the 1% (the very rich and very privileged) and 456 being the last, the poor, underprivileged, the last pick.
I bet everyone who was planning to watch this show and saw this spoiler of a thumbnail in their recommended feed REALLY loves you for putting it there. "Everyone, these characters here are really still alive!" Everyone: "So they die then."
i love the colour theory. i also think yellow represents money because the vips wear gold (yellow) masks. and therefore the stairs that are yellow, pink and blue represent the three different roles in the games, and i think the three different symbols represent the three different roles. the triangle is red (similar colour to the pink uniforms) to represent the easiest role in the squid games- being a guard. the star is yellow as it is a difficult shape to accomplish, showing that being wealthy is a difficult thing to achieve. and the umbrella is blue (similar to the cyan tracksuits) because that’s the hardest role in the game and most of the people will die when they choose the umbrella in the honeycomb game, just like all but one person will die in the actual games themselves. it might be a bit far fetched to some people, but colour has a lot of symbolism when done correctly so i think it’s not a bad shout
Why would 01 need to set up the games to find his son? I don't get that. I don't think Ali and Sae-Byeok are alive, but I hope I'm wrong. Why would he be a guard unless it's to get info on the game?
Ali and Sae-Byeok are dead. We see Ali with a bullet wound in his head and Sae-Byeok with her neck cut open. Even if they were inside a hospital when those wounds happened they would most likely had dies, without treatment for at least a few minutes they are 100% dead. Those wounds kill in seconds.
What i think why Ali and the Old man died off screen is to not break viewers hearts (because personally i think Ali is the best and the old man is just too sweet)
@@clumsy_nerd Umm-this is not a misunderstanding I See People roleplaying as The squid game guards so I thought I could also try roleplaying as not the guards but one of the player so I did-
Ali does die. In the next episode VIPs, we see in the start of the show, the intro, a person dead being put inside one of those boxes. Well, that person was Ali just a bit unrecognizable because of the....harm done..
I feel like if the detective is alive, his brother is keeping him on that island or something like that. If not, it seems he would have got enough help to shut down the games, or at least draw attention to it by a year later.
Theory one- ok Theory two- the old man probably has tabs on Gi-Hun. He is the creator after all Theory three: plenty of Koreans speak English especially since he has to speak to the vips who speak English. His brother also speaks English Theory four: he’s dead unless the show commits a deus ex machina Theory five: possibly, but there isn’t much evidence for this. Theory six: why would he try to find his son in a death game? He’s rich Theory seven: the red hair is a Korean symbolism of rage, so says the director Theory eight: the vips are just rich psychos. They’re hedonists Theory nine: the director said the pink is supposed to be soft despite their actions and the green to make them look like a whole. They’re also simple childrens primary colors Theory 10: they don’t kill winners or even people who quit the game. They just didn’t want him to bother with trying to expose the games Theory 11: isn’t this one obvious ? Theory 12: this is just ridiculous. Il-Nam seemed to simply be stalling Theory 13: this is pretty obvious. Theory 14: it wasn’t on purpose. It was just bad because that kind of acting is Normal overseas. that is our stereotype. Theory 15: reaching Theory 16: again. Obvious. Theory 17: good theory but I doubt it. They only said to watch them. He would’ve simply said to kill them. Why would he speak in code to his minions Theory 18: obvious Theory 19: pretty sure he’s dead . If they bring him back it will undermine the heartbreak of his death. Pretty sure they just knew we didn’t want to see him die. And of course the old man doesn’t die. He’s the game master. Thinking the old man recruited him is such a reach Theory 20: she’s dead. We didn’t hear the announcement because it was a dramatic moment and music played instead
mweh, IF they’d be alive they’d probably work for the frontman like: “or we will end your life or we spare you and you have to work for this game”- kind of contract idk.
Old man’s name is Oh Il-nam, and 456’s mother is Oh Mal-soon. Il-nam means ‘the first son’, Mal-soon means ‘the last daughter’. Interestingly, they share the same family name. So probably, the old man is 456’s disconnected uncle.
15:46 thats true, but whenever someones dies, they are not shown on the board, and she wasnt, and you might say "oh but the board wasnt fully shown" yeah, but sang woo was shwon next to gi hun, showing that the less players alive there is, the closer their icons get together, and Sae Byeoks icon wasnt shown lightened up
Uh there’s like no way they’re still alive, because even if they didn’t die from their injuries they’re literally burnt in an oven thing. Plus I’m pretty sure that the creator said that there would be no season 2
@@j4depookie with the way the show ended and how successful it is I agree it would be dumb not to continue the story and frustration to leave us with that big of a cliffhanger.
I don't care how far fetched or how accurate some theories may be, these are all so interesting and just add to the fun of this show. It's so fun and I'm happy that all these theories exist.
I would really like to believe that Ali and sae-byeok is still alive but there is evidence that they died but also sae-byeok is a smart girl and always has tricks up her sleeve and it’s so sad that the only person she trusted died and when she trusted another person she also dies and it’s so sad she deserves more🥺🥺🥺
Yeah they showed his body, sae byeok could be alive. We cant hear "player 067 eliminated".the director of squid game could be giving a clue. I know they showed that the guards burned her coffin. But she might escaped since they didn't show her body in the coffin. I know when she died in the square giant thing, they put sae byeok on the coffin. Maybe they let her out? Or giving a clue. Since they showed ali's body but didn't show sae byeok's. Idk
@@dbook2472 yes i agree , i really want to see more of saebyeok and seeing as she's a fan favourite and has more chance of living than ali , they might bring her back. same with sangwoo , as them two + gi hun were the mostly "main" characters. she was also conscious during the car journey to the island , and it doesn't necessarily show her body inside the actual coffin that got burnt in the incinerator. she could have somehow got out. and the director did leave a lot of clues and plot twists and red herrings - he's also very smart so maybee. or if not hopefully they'll be somewhat featured in flashbacks or such. i guess we can only wait for season 2 at this point to know for sure haha
@@dbook2472 but i guess to go against the theory that they didn't announce saebyeoks death is because the front man was out chasing after jun ho at the time and so he couldn't do it. that whole scene was also covered by music so we couldn't hear what they were saying or if they did announce her death or not. and it does show the money being added to the piggy bank and the player count lowering. i do think that the theory may not be impossible though
The story would go down the toilet if the creators made this show to soothe kids hopes of their favorite characters being alive like a superhero dying in a cartoon.
Guys the reason I believe Sae Byeok is not alive ( even though she was my favourite character ) I think that she did not survive because at the point where they show her coffin being burned is just clearly hard to imagine her being alive after that state but who knows maybe she survived. I hope she did.
I'm sure Il Nam is Gi Hun's father. It's literally the first scene in the show - Gi Hun and Sang Woo playing the "original" squid game as children. In the marbles scene, the old man reminisces how he would come home from work and see his son play outside.
Oh Il Nam is not his father. During the marble game, he at one point asks Gi-Hun if it was the 24th of the month because that’s his son’s birthday and he wanted to get him a toy robot. The players all returned to the game on June 23 and the marble game took place sometime late June. However, when Gi-Hun was about to board the flight in the final episode, he reveals that his birthday is October 31, 1974 when he calls the squid game number again, so they are not related to each other at all.
@@yitoproductionsAlso at the beginning of the series. When Gi-hun asks, “Who are you?” (Or something) The salesman says everything about him so.. yeah.
After listening all theories i made a therory out of them , in the series its shown that frontman won the squid game in 2015 and in 2020 gi-hun won the games of 2020 so gi-hun can be the next frontman , because there is maybe 5 years span between winners and they can be frontman after every 5 years , i hope my theory makes sense
If you think that Ali and Kang Sae- Byok are still alive, telling you that you are fooling yourself would be an understatement. They are dead! The only way in which they could come back is through flashbacks, but their characters are dead. Accept it❤. You seem to be stuck on the first stage of grief; DENIAL!
@Vuyolwethu Memani Saying “You seem to be stuck on the first on the first stage of grief; DENIAL!” isn’t really nice. Many people care for Ali and Kang Sae-Byok, but saying that won’t change their opinion. Sorry if I said anything rude I’m just saying my opinion.
I feel like when Gi-hun comes back, He will be sent to the VIPS, And Sae- Byeok has a 50% chance, She may be sent off to the VIPS, But She was not scanned, Or her death was Announced, Shes Probably getting sent to the VIPS.
saebyeok is dead, she was impaled and then had her throat slit. also why would her death be announced?? names are only announced during games. she didn't die in a game???? the guy who. hung himself didn't get his number announced either
It's also necessary to pay attention to Jacques Lacan's Ecrits placed on the desk when his little brother(policeman) visits the Front Man's old rented room, in relation to the title Squid Game which is shortened into triangle, square, and circle where the triangle could be explained by reference to René Girard's theory of the mimetic △(triangle) of DESIRE which translates to Korean word '욕망' whose onset letters are ○(circle) and □(square) respectively. Therefore, the director seems to deeply question the very origin of our desire in capitalistic society.
And go hun he came up with the licking thing in the honeycomb and saved almost everyone and he will keep saving them as in the end he was going to stop the games.
K but theory 7 is proven wrong by the director, who said Gi-Hun dyed his hair because the director was thinking 'What was something that is completely unexpected that you'd never think Gi-Hun would do?' And thats what he thought of
as much as i love sae byeok and ali abdul there is nochance that they are alive because sae byeok was already having tons of blood gone from the glass shard but not to mention the stab in her neck that sangwoo did. even if she was alive she would have died from blood lose. She would have to get blood from other people but even then that cant happen in time because by the time its there shes probably dead if there getting blood from main land. Also no way ali could have survived either cause he was shown in the first 3 starting seconds have a bullet hole going through his head. as much as we want from sae byeok and ali abdul we probably wont be a chance they are gonna be in season 2.
Theres a chance that Gi-Hun is the old mans son, when Gi-Hun stole his mothers credit card he knew that the password was his b day and hos b day was like 4 5 6 April 5 year 6 something and the amount of numbers of players r 456 and yk his "father" can choose anything and he chose 456. note: this is only a theory and i have bad memory so if his b day isnt like that sorry
Statement: Ali and Sae-Byeok are permanently dead. Explanation: The first scene of Episode 7 "VIPs" Show Ali shot in the head lying in his coffin, if that hole in his face ain't convincing enough idk what is. Sae-Byeok was stabbed in the throat while losing blood, the human body will die if 2 liters of blood has been lost, keep in mind she was probably chocking in her own blood after being stabbed in the throat. Conclusion: Visual Evidence, Blood Loss, Suffocation, No Scientific Explanation for Survival = Dead
People say sae byeok is alive because the voice didn’t say she was eliminated…but people don’t realize that the voice never said anything about the people who died after the 5th game. Her and Ali were both shown put into the coffin and burned (idk what it’s actually called but you know what i mean). There’s another theory that the voice was not heard because the front man was busy cleaning up the wound where he got shot.
Yeah I read somewhere: Announcements only affect in games. Not the area. Remember the breakout? No one got announced so, and plus anywhere in the room they didn’t announce when someone. They only get announced in games so the announce thing
Sae-Byeok died, there was no annoucement because there are only 3 players alive.. they would already know who died because there is so much room and they can see each other since there are only 3beds
How can anyone take any of these seriously when they include obviously disprovable ideas like Ali being alive. Yes, they didn't show his death...but they do show his body with a bullet exit wound in the front of his face in the very first scene of the next episode. If there was a reason for them not to show his death, it was likely to throw people off the scent of 001 still being alive as if the audience thought that because their deaths weren't shown that it might mean they are still alive, then the shot of Ali's dead body proves he is dead and the show then wants you to assume the same is true for 001. Including stuff that anyone can see is false makes it seem like they didn't do any work to really see if these might be true and makes all these ideas seem dumb, even if some might actually have merit.
I feel like the Saebyeok and Ali being alive theory is just people coping with denial

The theory about gi-hun's daughter stepfather being related to the squid games is very unplausible. As a Korean, we have Korean families move to America because they're rich enough to have luxuries there. The fact that this was in squid game is so Korean viewers understand that it means that the family must be wealthy.
Wait.... If they're wealthy, why is 456 in debt????
The only person I hope is still alive is the cop, he honestly did a really good job and he was very interesting .. they just shot him in the shoulder so I'm sure that wasn't deadly, the cops probably know how to get away with it too In fact, he didn't seem alarmed when the man pointed the gun ..And I think if he survives along with Gi-hun they could make a team trying to stop the game together..and he is the only one who has proofs, very important thing in my opinion..i just hope he didn't die
he did not die after that he was swimming in the sea! i think?!:)
rem it’s been a year after the 33rd squid games happened so the fact that that the games are still goin on can either mean he is alive and captured or roaming the island, or dead
he is alive. i was the bullet.
The director obviously meant for him to be alive
he was shot in the shoulder and fell, that would be like saying that Dutch can der Lin lived Red Dead redemption, after falling from the huge height and getting shot in the head
She had her neck slit
and they both got incinerated so it’s really impossible
the glass part there was a 50/50 chance though.
@@aven6619 there's no possible way for that kind of knife to be cut through that thick box, and she got her neck slit, and that's fatal.

@Sudiksha Angela same 😭
@@whatisilyionlyknowipurpleyou but....... plot armour..... he's most likely alive, characters are rarely TRULY killed off like he was.
Ali didn't steal he didn't get payed I think his boss was using him

Fans can't accept Ali's and byeok's death cuz they were the fav characters
Wow, you point has validity.
My man's written a whole paragraph for ali

But they show his death in episode 7, he’s laying in the gift box

Gi Hun did stole money from his own mother
Il-nam says in the marbles game that soon is his son's birthday, the game takes place sometimes in June, but the Gi-hun birthday is not clear - when he enters PIN code it is 26 April, on the file it is 31 October, anyway not close. Of course he may have more children, but if the creators really intended so - the birthday would be Gi-hun's birthday, not of some other child.
The card colour theory was based of toilet paper
Some of these theories are stronger than others. In particular, the theory that Il-nam is playing the game to find his son is ridiculous. He mentions his son in passing once, but he clearly states that he participated because he's so rich that nothing else can bring him excitement. It could've been a good video with like half of these theories taken out, but the outlandish ones bring the overall quality down.
agreed. there's also the fact that he has enough money in the world to track down his son without even needing the games. The people involved in creating the games already had so much information about each and every single player.

Another theory:
In episode 2 where all of the participants got out, the death treats that they did outside is the clue of how they're going to die, like for example, Ali stole money from his boss and on episode 6 Ali's marbles got stolen, and Sae-Byeok pulls a knife then puts it on someones throat, and Sae-Byeok death is getting stabbed on the neck with the knife.

Did they announce the guys death for the man that hung himself
They also announced the guy that was beaten to death’s elimination.

Bringing characters back from the dead just because the fans want it just rarely ends well. Just take a look at how Disney brought Palpatine "back to life" in Star Wars. Yes, but he didn't create all this just out of boredom. Cz if that's the case, everything would be pointless. Also, in the last scene he asks Gi-hun whether he still trusts people. The old man didn't convey anything in detail.
If you paid close attention, you could see that Ali's dead body gets put into a coffin later in the show, so he can't be alive, and if he was still alive, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't go back to the games after seeing people die, and I see a lot of TH-cam videos of people saying that Sae-Byeok is still alive too, but you can see her dead body get put in a coffin as well, so she can't be alive either.

i love the colour theory. i also think yellow represents money because the vips wear gold (yellow) masks. and therefore the stairs that are yellow, pink and blue represent the three different roles in the games, and i think the three different symbols represent the three different roles. the triangle is red (similar colour to the pink uniforms) to represent the easiest role in the squid games- being a guard. the star is yellow as it is a difficult shape to accomplish, showing that being wealthy is a difficult thing to achieve. and the umbrella is blue (similar to the cyan tracksuits) because that’s the hardest role in the game and most of the people will die when they choose the umbrella in the honeycomb game, just like all but one person will die in the actual games themselves.
it might be a bit far fetched to some people, but colour has a lot of symbolism when done correctly so i think it’s not a bad shout
Why would 01 need to set up the games to find his son? I don't get that. I don't think Ali and Sae-Byeok are alive, but I hope I'm wrong. Why would he be a guard unless it's to get info on the game?
Who do you mean by 'he'?
@@ScreamMario -player 456.

I WANT ALI BACK. I WANNA SEE MORE OF HIM
SAME
Damn!..Yeah❣
The show needs him!!..⚡
Yaaaa but he is very dead you see him being put inside the coffin the very next episode
Sadly it really isn’t possible because at the start of episode 7, we see his body carried out in the coffin with a bullet through his head.
Well he isn’t sorry
Theory one- ok
Theory two- the old man probably has tabs on Gi-Hun. He is the creator after all
Theory three: plenty of Koreans speak English especially since he has to speak to the vips who speak English. His brother also speaks English
Theory four: he’s dead unless the show commits a deus ex machina
Theory five: possibly, but there isn’t much evidence for this.
Theory six: why would he try to find his son in a death game? He’s rich
Theory seven: the red hair is a Korean symbolism of rage, so says the director
Theory eight: the vips are just rich psychos. They’re hedonists
Theory nine: the director said the pink is supposed to be soft despite their actions and the green to make them look like a whole. They’re also simple childrens primary colors
Theory 10: they don’t kill winners or even people who quit the game. They just didn’t want him to bother with trying to expose the games
Theory 11: isn’t this one obvious ?
Theory 12: this is just ridiculous. Il-Nam seemed to simply be stalling
Theory 13: this is pretty obvious.
Theory 14: it wasn’t on purpose. It was just bad because that kind of acting is Normal overseas. that is our stereotype.
Theory 15: reaching
Theory 16: again. Obvious.
Theory 17: good theory but I doubt it. They only said to watch them. He would’ve simply said to kill them. Why would he speak in code to his minions
Theory 18: obvious
Theory 19: pretty sure he’s dead . If they bring him back it will undermine the heartbreak of his death. Pretty sure they just knew we didn’t want to see him die. And of course the old man doesn’t die. He’s the game master. Thinking the old man recruited him is such a reach
Theory 20: she’s dead. We didn’t hear the announcement because it was a dramatic moment and music played instead
people who think ali and sae-byeok is alive
try to convince me
mweh, IF they’d be alive they’d probably work for the frontman like: “or we will end your life or we spare you and you have to work for this game”- kind of contract idk.
Old man’s name is Oh Il-nam, and 456’s mother is Oh Mal-soon. Il-nam means ‘the first son’, Mal-soon means ‘the last daughter’. Interestingly, they share the same family name. So probably, the old man is 456’s disconnected uncle.
15:46 thats true, but whenever someones dies, they are not shown on the board, and she wasnt, and you might say "oh but the board wasnt fully shown" yeah, but sang woo was shwon next to gi hun, showing that the less players alive there is, the closer their icons get together, and Sae Byeoks icon wasnt shown lightened up
the fact you never even explained how saebyeok is alive is just sad
cuz shes not lol
Uh there’s like no way they’re still alive, because even if they didn’t die from their injuries they’re literally burnt in an oven thing. Plus I’m pretty sure that the creator said that there would be no season 2

i really want the saebyeok and ali theory to be true , but i don't see how they can bring them back when we literally see them dead
Yeah
The story would go down the toilet if the creators made this show to soothe kids hopes of their favorite characters being alive like a superhero dying in a cartoon.
I wish I had a thousand and more accounts to like this comment
People: Ali is still alive!
Me: you haven’t watched episode 7 haven’t you?
Literally his face had a hole in his face
And 067 is also dead... they didnt announce it because there was music over it. Just accept your favorite player can die people!
I love that Ji-yeong sacrificed herself for sae-byeok...
Unpopular theory (and opinion):
Mi-nyeo or Deok-su possibly survived the fall. It is possible to survive the fall when two people are on each other.
I always thought at least Deok-su survived the fall and Mi-nyoeo broke his fall
That’s definitely possible.
Let's just say everyone is still alive so we're all happy
When you said Ali wasn’t shot, I’m pretty sure the next episode it shows him with blood all over ready to turn into ashes.

Everyone: oh his hair is red that is information! Gi-hun: I like my red hair now stop
Everyone IQ in squid game: 0
Sang-woo and Sae-Byeok: 100 IQ (average)
And go hun he came up with the licking thing in the honeycomb and saved almost everyone and he will keep saving them as in the end he was going to stop the games.
The old man’s name “Il-Nam” means first man in Korean
I can’t wait until the next one come’s out. I just loved it.

When Ali was shot, we can see his body in the bottom right sitting on the wall, proving he really is dead.
Awesome 🤩
People say sae byeok is alive because the voice didn’t say she was eliminated…but people don’t realize that the voice never said anything about the people who died after the 5th game. Her and Ali were both shown put into the coffin and burned (idk what it’s actually called but you know what i mean). There’s another theory that the voice was not heard because the front man was busy cleaning up the wound where he got shot.
Yeah I read somewhere:
Announcements only affect in games. Not the area. Remember the breakout? No one got announced so, and plus anywhere in the room they didn’t announce when someone.
They only get announced in games so the announce thing
I dont think sae byeok will be alive, because she lose so much blood but we will see
Sae-Byeok died, there was no annoucement because there are only 3 players alive.. they would already know who died because there is so much room and they can see each other since there are only 3beds
