Pokémon What If... I made Ash's Unova Team - Redux

In today's video, I'm fixing some mistakes I made almost 2 years ago for my remake of Ash's Unova team. I hope that it can clear some things up, and is presented a lot better than last time.

Glad to see this return in some way, even if it won't be continuing. Though, judging from certain things you mentioned in the video, you're still beating yourself up about the mistakes of the original. It's okay to have made mistakes. You shouldn't get yourself so down about it. You're a pretty creative person judging off your content, so making a mistake shouldn't stop you from creating something you enjoy.

Pikachu:
(Obviously)
Oshawott:
(He’s ash’s first Pokemon in Unova and is a mix of comic relief and an actual competent battler)
Leavanny:
(I LOVE Leavanny so of course she stays)
Braviary:
(I do not hate Unfezant but ash deserves better and Braviary would do so much better man)
Chandelure:
(I am not fond of either Pignite or Darmanitan so Noway am I adding both so instead I’ll go Chandelure)
Krookodile:
(And finally the ace of the team)

There's this Idea I've had in mind, that being Oshawott is a descendant of Hisuian Samurott, meaning it'll learn Ceaseless Edge, most likely after the first loss at the 2nd Gym.
It's fanficy, but I think it could be a cool idea.

The problem with that is not only can Oshawott not learn Ceaseless Edge, as it's only teachable to Hisuian Samurott, but being a descendant of a Hisuian Samurott would not mean that Oshawott would gain anything genetically from Hisui. The cause of Hisuian Samurott is Hisui's climate and geography requiring the Pokemon to adapt. Without that, Oshawott can't really do anything relating to becoming a Hisuian Samurott or picking up a move only Hisuian Samurott could learn. It's a cool idea, but it makes more sense that Oshawott would learn a move like "Night Slash" to reference the Hisuian form

@diabia_ Well there's 2 teams. Team Garchomp and Team Krookodile. The problem is which one you choose

I actually like the fact Ash caught more Pokemon in Unova!!! The Problem is the amount of over lapping types!!! I mean seriously why in HELL does he catch a Damn Palpitoad of all things when he already had both a Better Ground & Water Types in Oshuwatt & Krookodile? Then there's Leafanny when he already had Snivy and should've caught Venipede instead. At least Scraggy came as an egg. Plus Roggenrola was his 1st Rock Type which is Nice. Its just some of those catches could've & should've been something else.

Considering the fact he caught Palpitoad before he caught Krookodile, Palpitoad is actually shown to love battling as much as Ash, has an incredible moveset, and is the only water type Ash has had since Kingler who isn't in the base stage (Totodile, Corphish, Buizel and Oshawott never evolve. Dracovish is the only exception since he cannot evolve and therefore is technically fully evolved), Palpitoad being with Ash is not a problem at all

@@ElectroPikachu But didn't Ash meet Krookodile 1st as a Sandile, before he met Palpitoad? Since they were building up to his capture, why Palpitoad at all, & not some other mon? I don't remember it doing much.

@@darkdragon7210yeah he met sandile early in Unova but he captured Palpitoad first. Palpitoad was just overlooked in favor of the starters and somewhat Leavanny.
