In the scene shown in this video Nightwing was holding back because he saw Bruce as friend/father but batman was not because he was in control of talia

Grayson is special. He's Bruce Wayne's first son and in a way, Bruce's success story. Grayson did not turn out to be like Batman despite the 2 of them losing their parents to crime. Grayson doesn't shove people away or manipulate them like Bruce does. Grayson is happy and loves life. Bruce adopted Grayson so that he wouldn't become like him and Bruce succeeded. Grayson doesn't want to be Batman where as all of the other Robin's want to be Batman when Bruce hangs it up. Bruce always wanted the Robins to be better and to not be like him and none of them except for Grayson achieved that.
