@@wingchunmanchester2261 Well GRANDMASTER William Cheung has been practicing REAL TRADITIONAL WING CHUN for well over 50 years!! Have you? Unlike YOU and your bunch of modified CLOWNS, he knows the ENTIRE, COMPLETE TRADITIONAL WING CHUN SYSTEM! Why not try him? He would wipe you out in one minute or LESS! Did you know that as a young Master he fought side by side with Bruce Lee (who was just a SIFU at the time!) against the Triads, the mean syndicate that ran Hong Kong at the time! They fought often and WON! HOW MANY FIGHTS DID YOU HAVE AND WIN? PROBABLY NOT AS MANY AS THEY HAD!! YOUR SYSTEM IS FLAWED, STIFF AND RIGID if it is a MODIFIED SYSTEM, missing key elements that make it work properly, such as the Traditional footwork ( the angled footwork to the BLINDSIDE of the attack and a body rotation towards the attack, that not only puts them out of reach of their counter, but allows them to control the opponent better, allowing them to break the opponent's balance, causing an opening we can exploit! Unfortunately modified doesn't have this, leaving them vulnerable to the hook!!

Hey amazing to see my former teacher from nearly 40 years ago...Sam could hold chopsticks on his throat and get a kickboxer to kick and snap both chopsticks against his throat. Also break almond nuts with a 1inch punch 👊 He is the real deal, after doing boxing, Thai boxing, jujitsu ect his Wing Chun methods were sensible, scientific and practical and got me out of a few scrapes later in life. One of the finest martial arts to master, using sensitivity of the arms is quick to learn and very quickly you can spar blindfolded. His footwork was second to none .. I think what amazed me is the speed and the natural adapatation in which you could learn and take on Wing Chun, almost like it had always been a part of us somehow, the fluidity of the arms and solidity of the legs, flowing water on mountains. The facing of yourself square on towards your opponent so both hand could strike them, but simple smart footwork to attack them from their flank.

Can be used in a telephone cubicle and on the street! If someone can reach to hit you, then usually you can reach to hit them unless outreached. But as soon as someone touches you and you have contact, then it can be devastating for the opponent. I have boxed, done Thai boxing and karate, wrestling, other martial arts, for me its the closest to scientifically fighting and can be mastered very quickly using sensitivity. I don't knock any other martial art, it depends on how good you become in your own style or using Wing Chun, it also depends if you are willing to mame someone in a real fight, not everyone has that in them to hurt their opponent. Also requires a level of fitness and strength for any martial art. You must train, its not a given if you do a martial art you are capable of defending yourself in a real situation. Sam Kwok did not just teach Wing Chun, he taught common sense in real life threatening situations, never about Ego, only about living to fight another day and been safe.

Chi is an Asian philosophy on energy. It's just developing power, there is no mystical energy. No one can float or make things move. I have done Wing Chun for 28 years and have a direcr lineage to Ben Der and Kenneth Chun. Good WC is not commercialized and can be used in a fight, I agree.

Chi sau is pummeling, neck sparring, hand fighting, hubud, etc. it’s a wrestling drill to learn how to manipulate and move obstructions. Everything else should just be hitting and kicking.

If it was, at least not only on paper, people wouldn't get their asses handed to them, because most never spar and only do dummy training and some drills with nonresisting partners.

there are two types of martial artis. one is a theacer the other is fighter. rare occasion a person who can do both.
maybe the teacher not really good at application in combat but...hear me out but we have to respect the teacher person. without them a precious knowledge will perish gone. a fighter on the other side doesnt really has full knowledge. they only using parts of the knowledge who suit in combat situation.

Cut it out folks it's 2023 wing Chun as is is not a viable skill set for the streets unless you're a street fighter with combat experience then you may be able to utilize something from it in actual fighting but you won't stand there in a real fight looking like you are doing wing Chun as a matter of fact if you got dan inosanto early books you will see Bruce adopted the side boxing / fencing stance and utilized a few ideas of wing Chun from a side stance not the front immobile centerline stance of wing Chun Bruce would never stand in that kind of stance in a fight

Preserving tradition should be allowed, that is what this is about. Being able to apply Wing Chun to a street feet is as difficult to apply an arm bar on an unwilling not practicing Jujitsu opponent. Trust me grabbing your nuts and twisting and gauging your eyes, is allowed in a street fight. I have seen a homey get stabbed trying to grapple a dude. Fighting is sloppy af, for anyone.

Jeet Kune Do corrects for the Horrible footwork
fighting has evolved past Wing chun
there are some good moves in Wing Chun
JKD is basically Wing Chun mixed with Boxing footwork

Punch. No not like that! Punch and leave your arm out and go off balance into front foot, then I can win. No don't faint, I told you once how to attack me. Ow what you hit me for I was just trying to show you how I would win, you are bad sparing partner!
